I was packaging and launching my application in blackberry Webworks SDK and I got this big red error:
Build request failed with message: [ERROR] RAPC exception occurred
What does that mean?
My Package settings:
SDK Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry

I had to change from JDK 1.7 to JDK 1.6 and run the CMD like administrator.
If you uninstall JDK 1.7, and later you install JDK 1.6 after that, you have to uninstall BlackBerry WebWorks and reinstall it. This is because WebWorks has its own path to JDK and JRE, and if you don't reinstall it, these new paths won't update, and you will continue with problems.
I noticed you're using JDK 1.7. You should be using 1.6 (and make sure it's the 32bit version, not the 64bit as well).
Here's a link to JDK 1.6

I tried to use cmd prompt to execute my java file but I got this error that says
Error: A JNI error has occurred, please check your installation and try again
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: MovingObject has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 60.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0
but when I tried executing my java file on eclipse it works perfectly fine, its just that I want to try and run it to the command prompt to see if both ways works. Tried searching about the problem but most of the other problems is way back from long ago.
The problem was that my computer was confused as to what JRE to use. I have manually installed JDK and JRE 8 before.
So when I tried checking it through cmd.
javac -version is Java 16
while, java -version is Java 8
So, I uninstalled my Java 8 since I have installed JDK 16 and JRE version 16 on my eclipse which confuses my computer as to what version to use. That's pretty much it.
I am facing issue in jenkins job(jenkins running docker) Android Gradle plugin requires Java 11 to run. You are currently using Java 1.8.
I have checked java version in docker it is openjdk version "11.0.12" 2021-07-20
we can solve this in Android Studio but how can we solve while running gradle build in jenkins.
Below is the error I am getting
Build file '/var/jenkins_home/workspace/CICDDemo_master/app/build.gradle' line: 2
What went wrong:
An exception occurred applying plugin request [id: 'com.android.application']
Failed to apply plugin 'com.android.internal.application'.
Android Gradle plugin requires Java 11 to run. You are currently using Java 1.8.
You can try some of the following options:
- changing the IDE settings.
- changing the JAVA_HOME environment variable.
- changing org.gradle.java.home in gradle.properties.
In your Jenkins project choose the "configure" tab on the left side, then scroll down to "Properties Content" and write there:
JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-11.0.12
GRADLE_USER_HOME=C:\
I have jenkins on ubuntu. Building worked fine until I started to use android ndk.
latest ndk is downloaded and extracted into /opt/android-sdk-linux/ndk-bundle
In /etc/profile.d/android.sh is:
export ANDROID_HOME="/opt/android-sdk-linux"
export PATH="$ANDROID_HOME/tools:$ANDROID_HOME/platform-tools:$PATH"
export ANDROID_NDK_HOME="/opt/android-sdk-linux/ndk-bundle"
but I got still error:
:common:compileDebugNdk FAILED
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':common:compileDebugNdk'.
NDK not configured.
Download the NDK from http://developer.android.com/tools/sdk/ndk/. Then add ndk.dir=path/to/ndk in local.properties.
(On Windows, make sure you escape backslashes, e.g. C:\ndk rather than C:\ndk)
The message says it all. You should add a text file local.properties to the project directory on the Linux machine, with one line
ndk.dir=/opt/android-sdk-linux/ndk-bundle
This file is usually in .gitignore, and Android Studio generates it automatically. But when you build your project in Jenkins, it does not open Android Studio.
I was planning to use Eclipse Juno instead of GGTS/STS provided by SpringSource. I have installed on my Eclipse the plug-in for the GGTS support. I also have downloaded the newest version of Grails that is version 2.3.3. All is well, but when I create a Grails project on my Eclipse IDE this error always occurs on the Console View.
General error during semantic analysis: unable to locate the java compiler com.sun.tools.javac.Main, please change your classloader settings
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: unable to locate the java compiler com.sun.tools.javac.Main, please change your classloader settings
I don't see any problems when I type java on my command prompt. I am currently using Windows 7 x64 with a JavaSE 6/7 both on x64. Is it possible the cause of this problem is that Grails needs to have a jre6+ under x86 platform?
I am new to using PhoneGap and am trying to setup the example app, i'm using PhoneGap version 2.9.0 and apache-ant-1.9.1.
I have configured apache ant, installed the WebWorks SDK and have setup the project.properties file.
The error seems to be that it cannot find the 'CordovaExample' file in the temporary folder, i have checked the folder and it has the following files in it: 'CordovaExample.jdp', 'CordovaExample.jdw' and 'CordovaExample.rapc' (among various others). Am i missing some configuration so that it should search for one of these 3 files, instead of just 'CordovaExample'?
The error is shown below when the 'ant blackberry build' command is run:
jamest#JT1 /c/Development/FirstApp

I've searched the web, but can't find any similar questions so any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Ensure that you are using JDK 6 and NOT JDK 7 - WebWorks requires that version according to the BB support forums:
Please note that you need JDK6 (32-bit) to be installed and referenced
by the tools. Based on the sample it seems to be referencing JDK7.
If you do not require JDK7 explicitly, the safest option is to
uninstall all existing JDK/JREs from your PC (this includes both
64-bit and 32-bit) versions from Program Files and Program Files
(x86); respectively. And then install only JDK6 (which automatically
includes the JRE) that is 32-bit.
Apparently you might even need a specific build of JDK 6:
I noticed that JDK1.6 build 43 had the same behaviour during the
packaging process [...]
I had to roll back to JDK1.6 build 30 before I could sign and package
my webworks apps again.
First time I also Face same problem :-
To solve it :-
I use following step:-
Move to JDK 1.7 to JDK 1.6
follow the process as per this link http://docs.phonegap.com/en/2.1.0/guide_getting-started_blackberry_index.md.html
Modify .properties file
use signtool to sign the app using keys
then you will get Install able files
