ASP.NET MVC 4 RC Missing Use HTML5 Semantic Markup - asp.net-mvc

I am working with Visual Studio 2010 - SP1
I installed ASP.NET MVC 4.0 RC on my box. The option "Use HTML5 semantic markup" is missing in all the project templates (empty application, Web Api, Internet app, Intranet App) when creating a new project of ASP.NET MVC 4.0 Web Application project type.
Remember, I have not installed asp.net mvc 4 beta prior to RC installation. However, this option is present when creating an asp.net mvc 3.0 web application.

You have to install this extension :
Web Standards Update for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 SP1
Also consider installing Web Essentials. It add a tons of useful tools related to web development.

Possibility of Debugging ASP .Net MVC Applications(Not .Net Core) using visual studio code

I have been reading several blogs, and found debugging steps for ASP.NET Core applications using Visual Studio Code editor. But I need to know about debugging ASP.NET MVC(3,4,5) applications using VS Code - the ASP.NET MVC versions before ASP.NET Core.
I know very well about working & debugging in Visual Studio (2015, 2017). But I would like know about that debugging support in Visual Studio Code for ASP.NET MVC apps and it support versions.

Is ASP.NET MVC 5 released or not?

According to Wikipedia - asp.NET MVC 5 was released on 17th October 2013.
However on the ASP Website I can't see where to download the package.
When I try to create a new Project in VS 2013 - I can only choose asp.NET MVC 4.
How can I install MVC 5 ?
In Visual Studio 2013, the MVC project wizard was merged with the ASP.NET Web Application Wizard. When you target .NET 4.5, select the ASP.NET project. You will be presented with a new wizard that will allow you to select a base template and then customize it further by adding support for Web API or MVC. It also allows you to customize the authentication/authorization model you wish to use in your application.
The MVC 4 wizard is still present under the VS 2012 node in the New Project dialog.
Runtime packages for MVC 5, Web API 2, and Web Pages 3 were published to nuget.org, so you can upgrade existing projects.
You can also download a separate installer for Visual Studio 2012 that will allow you to create an MVC 5 and Web API 2 project, albeit empty. Once you have the project created you will be able to add views and controllers using the new scaffolding. The download for the Visual Studio 2012 support can be found at here
Thanks,
Jacques
From the nuget site:
Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 5.0.0
To install Microsoft ASP.NET MVC, run the following command in the Package Manager Console
PM> Install-Package Microsoft.AspNet.Mvc
You can download it directly from this link:
http://www.asp.net/mvc/mvc5
You can find all versions of latest MVC from below nuget

How to create a ASP.NET MVC web application project in VS2012

I am using Windows 8, and Visual Studio 2012. I need to create a ASP.NET MVC web application. But, when i click on Project types --> visual C# i only see windows store and not Web (as seen in VS 2008).
How can i create a MVC web application ? Help
I suspect you are using Visual Studio Express for Windows 8?
If so, you will also need Visual Studio Express for Web in order to create your MVC app.
See the different versions here: http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/products/visual-studio-express-products
u can also user WebMatrix to create aps.net mvc project
it's free tool for asp.net from microsoft
u can get WebMatrix from here http://www.microsoft.com/web/webmatrix/
During the install, there should have been options, one of which was Visual Web Developer. Make sure that was installed (that was what it was called in VS 2010).

Cannot create ASP.NET MVC projects in Visual Studio Express 2012 for Web

I have downloaded and installed Visual Studio Express 2012 for Web but I am unable to create any ASP.NET MVC projects, as there are no ASP.NET project options. Is there a separate download or something?
Try downloading/installing:
http://www.asp.net/mvc/mvc4
edit: I'm not referring to downloading Visual Studio. The link I posted is specifically for installing MVC 4 that isn't included in Visual Studio by default. Is it this ASP.NET MVC Extension that you've downloaded? ALSO.. to create an ASP.NET MVC site you have to select NEW->Project and then click on Web sub-category under a language of your choice , not new->Web Site.
Change .net framework version to 4.5

visual studio 2008 , asp.net mvc

Hello I was wondering how to get the starter template for asp.net mvc showing in vs2008
I currently have mvc installed , have been working with VS2010 but need to create a separate project for VS2008. How can I get the MVC template showing up for VS2008
Since Asp.Net MVC is built into Visual Studio 2010 it probably only creates the templates for VS 2010. If you install ASP.Net MVC for .Net 3.5 I imagine it will have the templates for VS 2008.
Here is the link for ASP.Net MVC 2 RTM for Visual Studio 2008:
Download Link
The templates aren't included by default with Visual Studio 2008 like they are with VS 2010. You can download and install them from one of these two links:
Platform Installer
Standard Installer
