I use Alert Explorer using Team Foundation Server Power Tools. My senario is when a State of spacific workItem Changed an email send to users.but when i want to create my query on some fields that I added them to my workItemType befor , only Possible Operator is (Changed-ChangeFrom-ChangeTo) but I want operator (=,<>,...).Why this field didnt have that operator? what should I do?
Only the core fields got the operators you want. You can't do a lot about it, only hope, that it will be implemented some day.

I'm on a project in which I need to get data from a ServiceNow instance and treat all data with PowerBI. I'm able to retrieve a big amount of data (Snow collect a lot of data), but I still need a way to filter data correctly. I'm calling to this URL:
Besides, I want also to apply a filter to retrieve just some specific registries from the table Requested Items. For that, I use the sysparm_query parameter to filter the field "cmdb_ci" and more specifically it's "name", something like:
&sysparm_query=cmdb_ci=What I need to Filter
Apart from this, I have also tried:
&sysparm_query=cmdb_ci.value=What I need to Filter
&sysparm_query=cmdb_ci.display_value=What I need to Filter
&sysparm_query=cmdb_ci.sys_id=What I need to Filter
&sysparm_query=cmdb_ci.name=What I need to Filter
But still not found the solution... as all these does not respond the solution needed.
Does someone know how I can manage this?
Thanks!!

There are two "Configuration item" fields in sc_req_item: cmdb_ci and configuration_item. Make sure that you are using the correct one. Either cmdb_ci.name=value or configuration_item.name=value should work, depending on which of the two fields you are using. cmdb_ci.value and cmdb_ci.display_value will not work as there are no fields on the record with these names. cmdb_ci.sys_id should work if you are supplying a sys_id (although it is redundant to type .sys_id for a reference field).
You should first verify your query through the ServiceNow UI before attempting to use it in an API call.
Type sc_req_item.list in the Filter navigator
On the filter list select "Show related fields"
Get your filter to work correctly
Right-click on the filter and select "Copy query"
The next step is to test it using the REST API Explorer.
Final step is to configure your client tool (PowerBI).
I added a custom field (Test Prime) in TFS. Since I wanted a drop down of valid TFS users, I copied the setup of the Assigned To control (String, Dimension, ALLOWEXISTINGVALUE, VALIDUSER, and SYNCNAMECHANGES). I want to be able to set up an alert triggered when:
Test Prime Changes to [Me] or Test Prime Changes from [Me]
but "[Me]" or "#Me" does not seem to grab the current user. It's under the drop down menu of Assigned To so I don't see why I can't get access to this variable. Is it because this is for a non-core field and [Me] is only available for core fields? If yes, is there a workaround because I haven't been able to find any.
set the syncnamechanges="true" in the custom field definition. If the workitem template cannot be uploaded, use the witadmin tool to update the syncnamechanges attribute.
in the alert rule, use ##MyDisplayName## placeholder instead of [Me] or #Me.
Once I've finish working on an item and it is assigned to someone else, it exits my queries scope and I can't find it anymore. Sometimes I just need to make a quick look up on items that went through me and recognize an old bug by description or date.
Is there a query like that by default in TFS2010 ?
How else can I search bugs that have me in their history flow?
Yes you can. There is an "Was Ever" operator for the "Assigned To" field. This will allow you to query any work item that was ever assigned to you. The same operator exists on the "Changed By" field.
I need a delphi component for Delphi 2007 win32 that have features like Google search text box.
** While User writing search key it should fill/refresh the list with values, and user can select one of them.
**User can go up and down list and can select one of them.
**List should contain codes and text pair, so user can select text and I can get code for database operations.
(Google can highlight the search text in List but I think it is not possible with Delphi 2007, so it is not expected.)
I tried Dev Express TcxMRUEdit, however it doesn't meet my needs
Since you have DevExpress, why don't you try the cxLookupComboBox in lsEditMode and with ImmediateDropDown = True?
Check out woll2woll components. The TLookupcombobox has done this since Delphi 3 (or earlier). This is not spam, I just use the library.

I also had the same problem and unfortunately didn't find a suitable component. I was also inspired from google.
So it turned out to be easier for me to "simulate a component" by using an editbox and a grid placed under it. As the user types something in the editbox the query refreshes and the proper resulst are shown in the grid. I have many columns in the grid, the query results try to match all the fields (so if I type 'po', the query will return all records where any field is like 'po%'). I also added a delay of 500ms after the user types to avoid to run too many unnecessary queries (another aproach could be to kill the thread as the user strikes a new key, if the query is run in a thread).
In this way I obtained the required functionality, even if without higlighting the search text, anyway my users are delighted by this.
In every place I am using this "component" I am attaching a query at runtime so it can be used in many different forms.
I somehow was also inspired by the skype UI: when you display the lsit of contacts you can type something and the contacts will be filtered accordingly (skype uses an editbox + grid/listbox).
I have a SharePoint list with Content Approval enabled. The business requirement is that once the new list item is approved it should stay approved despite further updates by any user.
My first thought was to handle the ItemUpdating method, and if the corresponding before property is Approved then set the after property to Approved. This doesn't work however.
In the ItemUpdating method the "Approval Status" column does not show up in properties.BeforeProperties or properties.AfterProperties. properties.ListItem["Approval Status"] and properties.ListItem.ModerationInformation.Status both show the "before" value. In the ItemUpdated method the situation is the same, except instead the values shown are the "after" values.
Is there a way in either method to identify both the before and after methods? I can work around this by creating a new hidden column that I set when the item is approved but that doesn't seem best.
Should I be approaching this from a workflow perspective?
Would this help?

Use field's internal name with AfterProperties or BeforeProperties.
i.e. properties.AfterProperties["internal name"].
It works for me
Please refer to the following properties in the AfterProperties section for a document library.
Document libraries are a bit different than lists. the doc libraries have .AfterProperties["vti_doclibmodstat"] and .AfterProperties["vti_doclibmodcomm"].
