I need a cPanel alternative, but with easy deployable Ruby-Rack applications support, not only Rails.
Heroku just started to fail hard, after cedar, for me. Their downtimes are greater than my computers downtimes for June. So it is not an option anymore.
Or maybe an open source suite that is easy to modify you can suggest?
Check out OpenShift. It's a PaaS system, similar to Heroku, that's open source.
I've heard good things about Interworx which can host Ruby apps as well.

Hi i'm starting to test data persistance for iOS and i want to use some databases, i tried few project with the command line but i would love to start using a software that will speed up the process.
I read already a post on here where an user listed few software from a website.
Here i copy the link he shared,
http://www.sqlite.org/cvstrac/wiki?p=ManagementTools
i would love to know if any of you tested those software, and which one you raccomand.
On many books i read they use a firefox plugin, but i find firefox already too slow to add such a powerful plugin.
Please if you find this question stupid, don't flag or downvote. I looked for a similar topic and i didn't find the answer i wanted. Thank you
I've always used SQLite Database Browser. It's free, easy to use and gets the job done.
http://sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net/
I have used Base: available on the MAC App Store:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/base/id402383384?mt=12
I've used Arango Db. It's free http://www.arangodb.org

Please i want program for mac to make sqlite3 database with db3 extension.
I test sqlite manager from firefox add-on but the extension is sqlite.
Please give me name or link to download it.
I use SQLite Database Browser.
It's not perfect but it's free, open-source and works for most usage scenarios. Usability could be better though.
I have never had a problem with using whatever extension I want for the DB file. .sqlite3, .db, .db3, they should all work without a problem.
This should work. Lets you browse your sql lite database

Can anyone recommend me a good DB4O file viewer ?
Bonus : Does anyone have a recommendation of a tool that can look at corrupted files (made by db40)?
Thanks
Well db4o includes its object manager for Java and .NET
For .NET I've written a LINQPad driver. If it is missing a feature just tell me.
For broken databases. Hmm, not sure if there a great tool for that. But I would first check with the integrity check tool. (Java, .NET)

I want to run a static code analysis over my Rails app. Is there a tool available that can help me do this?
Thanks,
Sivakumar.
Try metric-fu - it bundles various Rails analysis tools and outputs the results to your browser.
I did have some difficulty getting Saikuro (a cyclomatic complexity analyser) to work last time I tried it, but it was a while ago and I can't remember exactly what the problem was now...

Please share links to tutorials on how to set up and run ASP.NET MVC on an Amazon EC2 virtual machine.
I know that it's possible, but I'd like to follow behind someone else that's already set it up and has it running. It'd be great to know of a EC2 bundle that already has everything set up as well.
I made a screencast that will show you how to get Windows up and running, but it stops short of configuring IIS for MVC. However, once the instance is up and running, configuring IIS is the same as any other Windows Server 2K3 box.
