I am trying to build an app where the user's current location will be displayed. I have done this by using reverse geocoding and I am getting the right address of the user current location. But now I want to get all the possible location that will match against the location entered by the user in the search box. Also I just want to show the location name in the table view but not on the map. Thanks.

Im currently getting the address of the user using Search Field Location AutoComplete and once the user selects the location I show the location annotation too. I Now also want to include locate me feature which gets the user's current location coordinates using MapKit and find the address of those coordinates
My Current Version:
My goal is let say if user A toggle the switch
When it is on, On User B's screen will show the current location of User's A
and whenever User A is moving to another coordinates, User B could see he is moving something like Uber.
Im using node.js to run the backend and socket.io for real-time communication.
The questions are
How do i show current user's location to another user on Google Maps IOS sdk?
Do i need any real-time communication to keep updating the position of User A on User B's screen?
Im working on an app which requires the lat/long to display an annotation on a map. The user should be able to search for a business name and a allow him/her to select the correct one ...once he selects a pin annotation should be display on a map.
Currently I am able to search for a specific address using a search bar. I'm also able to display the pin annotation on the map. Is there a way to get the address and location for a business just like Uber and Lyft do it. For example, If i type the name of restaurant what is the best way to display restaurant options and 2. get the actual location (lat/long) and address for this restaurant.
Do we need to use an API like Google FourSquare etc?
In my app, I am using CLLocationManager to get user's current location.
The problem is, most of the time, user would be indoor, or not very far from the building entrance when they launch my app for the very first time. As a result the location I get is not very accurate(more than 1km off).
Yet, at the same time, if I open either Google Map or Apple Map, they are able to display location with little discrepency(a few hundred meters). How they manage to do that ?
I am trying to create a URL that takes a user from where they are currently to any destination and provides directions. The URL below works fine in iOS on the iPhone, but does not on the iPad as it prompts be to clarify what Current Location is:
http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Current%20Location&daddr=350 Broadway,%20New%20York,%20New%20York
How can I make this work in both the iPhone and the iPad?
I've Research this but...
I have researched about this for a while, and I believe there is no way to specify Current Location. I know passing Current Location as a parameter on iPhone works, but it is recognized as string Current Location rather than what you are intended.
Alternative Way
The alternative way is to get the coordinate of the user using Core Location, and then pass this coordinate as saddr parameter.
It may be a bit ugly on Maps app because there will be an annotation that indicates the user's current location and another pin annotation that indicates the coordinate you passed.
How to Get the Current User Location
Here's a post for getting the user location.
What's the easiest way to get the current location of an iPhone?
It's actually very simple, the Google Maps API documentation says to simply leave saddr blank and that will cause it to use "Current Location" as the starting point for your Directions request.
Like this:
comgooglemaps://?saddr=&daddr=1600+Amphitheatre+Parkway,+Mountain+View,+CA+94043
