ValueChangeListener issue with nullpointexception - jsf-2

Question

I am facing errors when using ValueChangeListener in the SelectOneMenu component. I am not sure whether it is due to the method it causing this issue or because xhtml couldn't find the method.

How to resolve it?

Either one of the below is null
1 -> projectDetailFacade is null
List<ProjectDetail> listOfProjectDet1 = (List<ProjectDetail>) projectDetailFacade.find(projectDetID);
2 - > listOfProjectDet1 is null
System.out.println("project details size" + listOfProjectDet1.size());
Check which one is null, fixing that should resolve your issue.
