A recent pull request requires 'isCrossRef: true' for the many to many list widgets to be generated in forms. Pull Request: https://github.com/propelorm/sfPropelORMPlugin/pull/90
The default forms will throw a fatal error when they try to set the labels for these list that aren't there anymore in the base classes.
Posting this up on SO in case someone else runs into this problem, because it took me a while to figure out.
this is fixed since a week, see: https://github.com/propelorm/sfPropelORMPlugin/pull/136

I'm using the TFS api to pull data on some projects into a localized database. Recently this stopped working. and gave us this error.
Object Not Set to Reference of an Object
AND
Null reference exception at the Domain level (this fails the moment it connects)
We are pulling down the hierarchy.
Domain - Collection - Project - Requirements... etc.
Debugging I find that I the code can see the domains but not grab them or anything under them. I am perplexed as to what might have caused this. Our dlls are all up to date with the version of TFS being used (Version 12). Thought it might be a credential issue, but this occurs with any credentials used. I've read that it could be a cache issue with the server side credentials somehow. But I do not have access to this.
I would post code, but I am unsure which part would be the most helpful as the connector method works... just fails when it connects so the problem appears to be elsewhere.
Thoughts?
UPDATE:
I have detected the line of code where we have a failure... but walking through it the code detects all TFS items. Domains, test cases, projects. Everything.
But will always return the Null Reference Exception. Keep in mind this has worked seemlessly for months.
Domain dbDomain = server.Domains.DefaultIfEmpty(null).FirstOrDefault(a => a.DomainId.Equals(domain.DomainId));
Okay so the stupid mistake was in the Lambda expression. It was returning null because it was trying to calculate before a value was assigned. Silly me.
Domain dbDomain = server.Domains.DefaultIfEmpty(null).FirstOrDefault(a => a.DomainId.Equals(domain.DomainId));
Should be:
Domain dbDomain = server.Domains.Where(a => a.DomainId.Equals(domain.DomainId))DefaultIfEmpty(null).FirstOrDefault();
In my application i got the error as con't update stale object. I don't know about this object. When it will create and why it was called a stale object. I want to know. Is it used in Only in ROR or other languges are also uses, this object and purpose?
According to the documentation:
http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/ActiveRecord/StaleObjectError.html
Reason of Stale object exception is:
Record is stale when it's being saved in another query after instantiation, for example, when two users edit the same wiki page and one starts editing and saves the page before the other.
Solution: To avoid this exception use the locking system:
http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/ActiveRecord/Locking/Optimistic.html
In my application multiple threads to be able to edit the same work -> version -> element record. its detecting error and raising the suitable error.
I typically did to handle the error:
I print a flash message such as "Sorry, please try after someone time, someone else editing this working version element".
element.lock_version = Document::Element.find(element.id).lock_version
element.save!
For example, such as detecting that one edit changed the element's type, where as the other edit changed the element's name by different creator, and then code of the two record should be merged done in one save.
In general, I used to element.reload to fetch a fresh version of the element.
worked fine!!
Sorry for my English and writing through a translator.
I'm new here and I'm a bit lost in what I want, maybe you can help me out if they wish, as explained here:
I want to customize all the errors that may be produced (any status code that is a mistake. 404, 500, 204, 301 .... etc.) And also show suggestions based on the "module" and/or "action" from where the error occurred.
I also wish I could tell by the file redirection "setting.yml" application, something like this:
error_404_module: common
error_404_action: errors
error_500_module: common
error_500_action: errors
error_204_module: common
error_204_action: errors
error_301_module: common
error_301_action: errors
........
Within the "app/frontend/modules/common" in the "action.class.php" define "executeErrors" in which I receive the status code that has occurred and the module where the error occurred or except for well, getting partial show "app/frontend/modules/common/templates/_errorXXXSuccess.php" and the partial of the suggestion that I seek and extract the module "referer" where the error occurred.
Well, that's the idea, dynamic content for different types of error in different circumstances and working perfectly with the type codes 404 but not with the rest ...
I read that could place me in the middle of the event by creating a file "config/error.html.php" and "config/exception.html.php". Indeed if I produce such a 500 error and manually these files are executed. The problem is that from there I can not access variables from symfony. Because if so I could invoke "common/errors" and bad send as parameters the error status code and the module where it occurred, but it is not. From there all I can do is play with $ _SERVER and routing.yml but can not get good results because the environment is mixed with Development Production (/frontend_dev.php) and is something I also want to avoid.
That is, I want to get as in "setting.yml" does "error_404_module" and "error_404_action" but with different error codes. Thus allowing me to show my custom pages in production based on "error or exception" and/or "module or action" where the error has been released from production, and in case of being in development mode (/frontend_dev.php/....), show the symfony Dispatch.
Surely life is complicandome and has a simpler way to do what I want but after thousands of combinations do not get the right result. Even if symfony may not allow other types of error redirect from "setting.yml" is because they are reserved for him or something. I do not understand.
Please please help me because no documentation to find and secure here at least we left public for others who want to do something.
Many Thanks and greetings!
First of all - you can't get symfony to intercept all errors. Some of the errors may be server errors and the request won't even get to your application. You can reproduce some of them explicitly setting responses in symfony though, but I may not be necessary to deal with all of them.
As for the exact response: you should use a listener to hook your errors to a class that handles them according to your need. See: https://stackoverflow.com/a/7077818/580167 for implementation details.
We have created a Custom List template programmatically using Feature.xml, Element.xml, Schema.xml AllItems.aspx, and 3 aspx forms. We have a code behind file for each of these aspx files. i.e. for the AllItems.aspx, DispForm.aspx, EditForm.aspx and NewForm.aspx.
Problematic file is AllItems.aspx. In the code behind for AllItems.aspx file we are deleting previous list items and adding new items to the list before showing them up to the user. As per expectations the code behind file for AllItems.aspx is derived from WebPartPage Class and we have tried to overload quite a few methods without much success.
Problem only occurs on the first time rendering i.e. when an instance of this list is created. When overriding OnLoad(), we get the Save conflict error, Similar is the case with OnInit(), CreateChildControls() method. However, when we override the Render() or RenderChildren() method no such error comes up but at the same time our new list items are also not visible. On browser refresh everything starts working fine as expected. It is only for the first time that the issue comes up.
What could be the possible cause for this? Any ideas, suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Raghu
I had a problem with a custom EditForm.aspx. I have two lists that are linked together and a change in one causes an event handler to update the other. I have a custom control in EditForm.aspx that edits the linked list. This was causing the event handler to update the item displayed by EditForm.aspx. This in turn would cause the conflict error when the user saved the form.
I finally found that I could reset the context with:
SPContext.Current.ResetItem();
I am not sure if this will help in your case but it fixed my problem.
I want to go beyond the default error handling given in ASP mvc. I have an errors controller, so I can hopefully give different error messages according to whats happened: i.e Invalid arguments, Permission denied, OMG DATABASE DEAD, etc.
But I cant seem to work out how to do this, this is what I have tried:
[HandleError(View="/Errors/InvalidArgument",ExceptionType=typeof(ArgumentException))]
It ends up giving a Runtime Error.
Also, on the same subject, is it possible to add more parameters that I could pass to the error controller, such as:
[HandleError(View="/Errors/InvalidArgument",ExceptionType=typeof(ArgumentException), Error="dumb arguments")]
Thanks
Just specify the View name, not it's path...as for passing arguments, I don't think you can.
