I tried to invoke BBM client through my app.I used BBM sdk 1.3 ,it was working fine with devices containing BBM version 6.1..So to work it on other BBM version i used the BBM version checker as given in the documentation.I followed all the steps mentioned in the documentation, made core project and proxy project..But when i run proxy project in the simulator it was not working..
One more thing, even if it works then how do i package both the projects and install it on my device..
Plz help..
To package both the applications :-
Sign them.
Copy the .cod files in one folder
Upload it to the App Store.

As mentioned on official website and many other tutorials, downloading Facebook SDK for iOS gives a installation wizard by Facebook which guide us for installing Facebook SDK for iOS on our machine. But, when I downloaded, I got a .zip file and when I double click it, it just extracts. What is the method of installing it for using purpose (As they mentioned that installation wizard will install the SDK in ~/Documents/FacebookSDK/).
You will have to add that FaceBook framework to your app. To do that follow these steps :
Open ~/Documents/FacebookSDK
Drag the FBSDKCoreKit.framework to Frameworks in Project Navigator. Create a new group Frameworks if it does not exist.
Choose Create groups for any added folders.
Deselect Copy items into destination group's folder. This references the SDK where you installed it rather than copying the SDK into your app. ( It helps when you download new SDK, the older one gets replaced at the same folder). However i'd recommend copying the SDK into your app to maintain your won versions and avoid unnecessary upgrades. Facebook sometimes upgrades very fast.
The SDK automatically loads its framework and resource dependencies.

I am an android developer. I have a problem by using Fabric SDK for android.
I tried to integrate Twitter-Kit for my own implemented application.
My application android build version is Android 2.3.3 (Api level 10).
After adding kit-libs to my project i am getting compilation error because of some theme and resources are missed.
I figured out the root cause for the issues.
That is because of kit-libs android jars required android build version Android 5.0 (Api level 21).
So some of the resources are missed when i integrated the kit-libs to my own project which is supporting from android api level 10.
Please suggest me how can i use this Twitter-Kit( kit-libs) for my application which is build on android api level 10.
I am suspecting the issue with supporting libraries are mismatched in my application and integrated fabric twitter kit library apps.
Please let me know how can i check the problem with supporting lib's are not.
Please find the attached screen for my problem.
Finally i got answer for my question.
Root cause:
It is the problem when i integrate Fabric Twitter Kit into my application.
Some mismatch happen for my application targetSdkVersion and twitter library projects targetSdkVersion.
While integrating twitter the following property manifestmerger.enabled=true was added in my project.properties file. Because of this property my application is mismatching targetSdkVersion.
Solution:
Just commented manifestmerger.enabled=true in project.properties file.
Make sure is there any dependencies with that property before you are going to make comment out(or remove). For me it was added after integrating twitter kit for my android application.
I have just downloaded and installed Android studio 0.4.2 and loaded an android project. This project gives me this error:
Cause: failed to find target android-17
Please install the missing platform from the Android SDK Manager.
so great, I will now go into the SDK manager, and get the missing platform. The only problem is, I cannot access the SDK Manager. The SDK manager button is grayed out and when I go to tools, there is no option for android, so I can't go to toold
Any ideas on how I can fix this problem? I have used Eclipse with ADT before and never had this issue...
Close the project from
File > Close project
doing this will take ou to the Android Studio welcome screen. From there navigate to this path
Configure > Project Defaults > Project Structure > Android SDK
Set you Android SDK location here, you can check all API's level from he same screen inside SDKs tab.
Now import your project again. You can set project specific SDK after opening the project from
File > Project Structure
This is an old one, but since I fixed that, I'm just sharing.
I sorted it downloading the stand-alone SDK and pointing the SDK Location to the folder.
Download the SDK from the "Get the SDK for an existing IDE" https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
As #pyus13 said, from the Project structure, select the downloaded folder
Configure > Project Defaults > Project Structure > Android SDK
Now your SDK Manager tab in no longer grayed out and you can access it
Hope this help.
I found the bulls eye solution.
Download SDK zip file from developer.android.com
Extract the zip file.
Copy and paste that extracted folder into Applications/Android Studio/
Open Android Studio. Go to: (Quick Start) / Configure / Project Defaults / Project Structure / (Android SDK Location) and browse SDK folder.
Apply and save.
You and me finally solved this problem. :D
I have been trying to implement Google Play services using the steps in https://github.com/xamarin/monodroid-samples/tree/master/MapsAndLocationDemo_v2 and https://github.com/xamarin/monodroid-samples/tree/master/GooglePlayServices
android update project -p "path to project" -t 4 worked
ant debug works, updated project.properties, add Api key
However on build in Xamarin studio 4.0.3 on Mac get this.using Xamarin android 4.6. what package is missing. any advice appreciated. am referencing Mono.android,support.v4
/Users/TheCall/MapView/Components/googleplayservices-9.0/samples/GooglePlayServicesApp/GooglePlayServicesApp/obj/Debug/android/src/mono/com/google/android/gms/appstate/OnSignOutCompleteListenerImplementor.java(34,34):
Error: package com.google.android.gms.appstate does not exist
com.google.android.gms.appstate.OnSignOutCompleteListener (GooglePlayServicesApp)
I suggest that you should use Google Play Services from http://components.xamarin.com/.
Steps:
Check your Google Play Services API in Android SDK Manager. If it's not rev. 12, update it. If thats not possible then check your revision, and find the appropirate component from Xamarin. They support rev. 9, rev. 10, and rev. 12. If you want to support older devices, download the Froyo version.
Download this component if you are updated to rev. 12: http://components.xamarin.com/view/googleplayservices12/
Unzip it, and reference the downloaded DLL in your project.
Use it like this: http://components.xamarin.com/gettingstarted/googleplayservices12
Basically I use eclipse and I installed the plugin for blackberry, however even know if I go to about and it is listed as installed, I cannot create a new project, or open the perspective either. It's nowhere to be found in the new project menu. I just followed what was on here:
http://us.blackberry.com/developers/javaappdev/javaplugin.jsp
Is there something else I need to do?
I have the very same problem.
I download blackberry jde 7.1 for eclipse.
Try to add new blackberry project, but there are no Blackberry project option.
Check my JDK version, turns out I installed jdk 5
Remove the jdk 5, and install jdk 6 32 bit, update 31.
Reinstall the blackbery jde 7.1.
Now I have Blackberry option when i try to add new blackbery project.
Use file -> create new project and inside choose Blackberry Project. Note that you should use the BlackBerry plugin for eclipse to do that
Download the Eclipse and Blackberry installation bundle and you're good to go. It combines the two and avoids having to install new software.
i had this issue and the steps on blackberrys site helped me to resolve it:
from: BlackBerry Developer Site
In your existing Eclipse environment, follow the steps below:
From the Help menu, select Install New Software to open the Install window.
Click Add:
In the Add Site dialog, type the URL http://www.blackberry.com/developers/jar/win/java into the location text box and specify BlackBerry Java Plug-in Update Site in the name text box.
Click OK, BlackBerry Update Site appears in the Available Software list.
Select the BlackBerry Java Plug-in item and at least one BlackBerry SDK you want to work with. Choose the version of the BlackBerry SDK which ensures that your application is compatible with your intended target market. Read more about SDK versions.
Click Next.
Click Next after reviewing the items to be installed.
Check I accept the terms of the license agreement after reviewing the licenses.
Click Finish to begin installation.
After successfully downloading the files, you'll be prompted to restart Eclipse.
