AIR3 Native Process will not start in release build - actionscript

Currently I am building an application that launches crtmpd (a rtmp server written in C++).
Whenever I launch the application from within Flash Builder it works great, if I install a release build from an air file the process.start() returns a generic "could not start process" error.
The crtmpserver.exe is stored in applicationDirectory and the config file is kept in applicationStorageDirectoy.
So I've moved it to the native storage directory. But the problem persists. I've found the following though:
startupInfo = new NativeProcessStartupInfo();
startupInfo.executable = binFile;
processArgs = new Vector.<String>();
processArgs.push(luaFile.nativePath);
startupInfo.arguments = processArgs;
In the IDE after this startupInfo is setup correctly. On client machines all properties of startupInfo are still null.

You might want to try putting it in the application storage directory. I've seen permissions issues were the user wasn't Admin and could't run a native process once it was installed.

The problem was I was packaging with an Air installer rather than a native installer.
Once I packaged with the appropriate installer the problem has resolved itself.

How can I fix the ElectronNET.CLI Cannot find module 'fs/promises'. Require stack error

I have an ASP.NET 5 web application and I'm using ElectronNET. When I run the electronize build /target win command want to create electron application exe file and setup exe file, ElectronNET.CLI says;
and not creating application exe file and setup exe file. How can i fix this issue?
OK I fixed the issue. I updated the node to version of 14.17.5

Neo4J windows installation

Downloaded Neo4j community version, the file named "neo4j-desktop-offline-1.1.13-setup.exe". Running the binary successfully installed. Launching the application takes me to configuration of database location "Please choose path where you want to store application data" and regardless of what path i choose, clicking "Confirm" does not do anything at all and it remains on the same screen.
Am using Windows 10.
I also got the same problem. I fixed it by adding a new PATH in environmental variables,
Advanced System Settings > Environment Variable > system variable > path > new: C:\Windows\System32\wbem
After setting, reopen the Neo4j application and it will allow you a select the path where you want to save application data.
REASON
In the developer console, you will see the following error
Uncaught (in promise) Error: Command failed: wmic logicaldisk get
size,freespace,caption 'wmic' is not recognized as an internal or
external command, operable program or batch file.
The actual WMIC binary is located at C:\Windows\System32\wbem\WMIC.exe you need to set the path if it is not yet defined.
try opening http://127.0.0.1:7477 or http://localhost:7474 in your browser
I had the same problem using Windows 7, and after trying the solutions others have suggested around fixing the Path environment variable to no avail, I found upgrading PowerShell solved the problem. To do this, I upgraded my Windows Management Framework (to 5.1 at the time of this writing) by following the appropriate link for my version of Windows from here:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/scripting/windows-powershell/install/installing-windows-powershell
For Windows 7, I retrieved Win7AndW2K8R2-KB3191566-x64.zip from the Download link found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54616.
I unzipped and installed it, and after a reboot it worked (for Neo4j Desktop 1.4.15). Upgrades to WMF for other versions of Windows are on the same page.

WebView unable to load URL when application installed in program files on 64-bit Windows 7

C# code and .Net 4.0,
client:
new WebView("http://localhost:8091/index.html", new CefSharp.BrowserSettings());
Server:
server.Add(HttpListener.Create(System.Net.IPAddress.Any, 8091));
Giving exception Error 102.
I have created application for target platform x64, using vs2010, .vdproj.
When I installed it on c:\manufacturer\productname. It is working nicely by displaying page in Web Controls panel.
But if I install the application in Program Files\manufacturer\productname, it is giving error.
Thanks,
Ash.
I am updating a file in program files folder and it requires admin privileges. I changed that file location to temp or user accessible folder its all working fine everywhere with every user.

SOAPUI: Cannot find the icon to open application on mac

I am having trouble opening soap ui.
I have gone onto their website and downloaded SoapUI-5.0.0-mac-bin.zip from http://sourceforge.net/projects/soapui/files/soapui/5.0.0/
I have then unzipped it and have many different files but there is none with the icon to open the application. Someone said to open soapui-5.0.0.jar in the bin folder but when I do I get an error saying it cannot be launched and to check the console for possible error messages.
I cant seem to find the error message on the console - I have very limited technical ability I think haha I am running 10.9.2 apple OS if that helps at all.
I would attach screenshots but my reputation isn't good enough
In the bin folder there is a file named soapui.sh. To start SoapUI you can run this file from the terminal.
A possible easier way to run SoapUI is to download the SoapUI-5.0.0.dmg file from http://sourceforge.net/projects/soapui/files/soapui/5.0.0/. Running that file will start an installer for SoapUI. Once installed you will get an icon on your desktop that you can use to start SoapUI.

Grails 2.4.0.RC1 seems to lock javascript files on Windows 7 - 64bit

I am using Grails 2.4.0.RC1 (and JDK 1.7.0_55) and whenever I browse to any app view that makes use of javascript files from the web-app folder, the java process seems to lock those files.
So I cannot work on any of those javascript files any more since when I try to save changes Windows 7 will not let me do it.
I used Process Explorer to check which process is locking the files and it's the java process running the grails app indeed.
At first I thought that this problem could be related to the new asset-pipeline:1.8.7 plugin which I am using. So I uninstalled it to check if the problem was still there... and it was.
The same app was running on Grails 2.3.5 just fine (although we were using an older JDK too... I must check with JDK 1.7.0_55).
By the way, something similar happened with a much older version of Grails: https://jira.grails.org/browse/GRAILS-3585
Is Anyone experiencing the same problem?
UPDATE 1:
I have tested this problem running the app on different versions of java and these are my results:
Win7-64bits, grails2.4.0.RC1, jdk1.7.0_55 -> PROBLEM OCCURS
Win7-64bits, grails2.4.0.RC1, jdk1.7.0_25 -> PROBLEM OCCURS
Win7-64bits, grails2.4.0.RC1, jdk1.6.0_18 -> OK
UPDATE 2:
I created a blank app (which uses Tomcat by default) and everything works fine.
The same blank app using jetty-plugin (with Jetty8) DOES present the problem.
I am further investigating this now.
I found the problem.
It had to do with the jetty-plugin indeed.
On the official version of the plugin 2.0.3 which uses Jetty7, the locking problem is NOT present. But this plugin uses a very old version of Jetty, so it's no use.
On the branch of the plugin created to run Jetty8:
https://github.com/grails-plugins/grails-jetty/tree/2.0.x
... the problem is there.
Also, on the new grails jetty plugin version 3.0.x (which uses Jetty 9.0.x), the problem is there too!
UPDATE 1:
Have a look at:
Jetty locking static files in Windows
Apparently the "useFileMappedBuffer" init-param of Jetty has to be set to false to prevent file locking.
You can use a local version of the jetty plugin and modify the above-mentioned property on [jetty-plugin]/grails-app/conf/webdefault.xml
