Example of using Prism 4 for Windows Phone 7 - windows-phone-7.1

Is there a simple example of using the Prism 4 MVVM framework for Windows Phone 7?
And the tests have written, and documentation -- but most important - EXAMPLES are absent.
P.S.
What are they thinking about???

Have you checked this one http://wp7guide.codeplex.com/ ?
MS's developer guide (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg406140.aspx) put this sample as reference in their article.

First steps to reconstruct the architecture in a Delphi 7 project

I am working with an undocumented, 100.000 lines Delphi 7 project and one of my goals is to create a software architecture document from the source code.
Can you give me any ideas on how to approach this?
These tools work with Delphi 7 and are of great help:
the UML tool ModelMaker
the refacotoring tool ModelMaker Code Explorer
the documentation tool Documentation Insight (as of august 2012)
UML diagrams are a great way to get an overview of structure. How well that overview is, depends on how well the structure is.
For taking over projects like these, I start with some basic documentation (often in MarkDown format, as that text based format is version control friendly, and generates nice HTML).
To get that going, it helps if the original developers or/and some base documentation are still there.
Then just start to:
fix bugs / apply feature requests
use ModelMaker to get a feel for overall structure
use ModelMaker Code Explorer as a refactoring tool
use Documentation Insight to document inside the source code (you can generate help files and web pages with the pro version, see feature matrix)
update my Markdown documents with any information that does not fit in the source code documentation well
Note you can put some documentation in using Model Maker Code Explorer, but it can not be exported as help files, since it uses a different documentation format than Documentation Insight.
So I agree with the comment by Jan Doggen (thanks Jan!): just start. Make sure you have the right tools to help that going.
Try running the source code through a newer Delphi version that supports UML modeling, then let it show you how different sections of code related to each other.
Understand will do the job. Free download includes 15 days evaluation which will be more then enough for what you need to document.

OpenOffice.org API or LibreOffice API?

Which API should I use? Which one is more promising? My main goal is to generate ODF documents. It's important for me to support ODF 1.2. And I want to use C++ and CLI bingings.
I use OpenOffice API a lot in an application of me. I made some tests with LibreOffice too and there are some (as far as i see undocumented and unwanted!) differences allready! (OO 3.2 against LO 3.4 and 3.5) Not much but here and there teh LO-Api behaves different from the OO-Api even in the same functionality. This is not important if you only deal with one of them, but it is important when you have to be sure that your App runs with OO and LO.
There is nearly no difference between the two APIs ATM. At least before Libreoffice 4.0 ( which is only in planning with no specific date ) there might be some long necessary API clean-ups. All in all they should be even c++ binary compatible.
Right now you should be able to use the same extensions/code to access both Libreoffice and Openoffice. You should only be careful with all interfaces marked as LibO 3.4 or 3.5 from http://api.libreoffice.org/

Where have the cross and dot products gone in DirectX10?

In directX9 there were functions to deal with D3DXVECTOR3's in order to calculate dot and cross products:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb205508(v=VS.85).aspx
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb205507(v=VS.85).aspx
However these have dissappeared from the D3DXMath library in DX10.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb205164(v=vs.85).aspx
I assume they must have gone somewhere? My question is where, and also why? Thank you.
I know in DX10 D3DXMath still exists however for DX11 it was replaced in favour for XNAMath which is compatable for xbox and pc. (which was my first guess for missing functionality)
I did a quick check and my (latest june 2010) sdk using D3DX10Math.h gave me the option for
D3DXVec3Dot() and D3DXVec3Cross()
D3DXVec3Dot
D3DXVec3Cross
Is it just a case that documentation page not linking them? (my links are for dx9 but in visual studio intellisense showed them for d3dx10Math)

Windows 7 integration with Delphi

I need components to integrate my app to Windows 7. I'm talking about the taskbar's ability to have progressbar, buttons, text and so on.
What is the best you know?
I don't know about components, but I've seen a few blog posts that explain how to implement this yourself. Check out http://www.drbob42.com/examines/examinC5.htm and http://alex.ciobanu.org/?p=215, for example.
Daniel Wischnewski is developing some Windows 7 components for Delphi.
This video on his blog, demonstrates some of the features.
There's a package of Windows 7 components, free with source, at delphi.fsprolabs.com. The best I can say is that the components perform as expected, when you work out how to use them: the implementation is not very elegant and I found it hard to get started with them. Mason Wheeler's link to DrBob's post will get you to about the same point but you will gain useful knowledge along the way.
There is also a project hosted on goolge code from The unknownones with a component set
called TaskbarListComponents.
It looks to be a very nice and a complete implementation.
You can see them in action here.

Is XNA Development for iOS feasible? is XNATouch the only good XNA implementation for iPhone?

I want to develop and port some of our windows phone 7 games to the iOS platform.
But currently it seems that our only option is: MonoTouch + XNATouch?
Do you use any other SDK for running XNA games on the iOS?
What is your opinion on developing XNATouch Games?
http://xnatouch.codeplex.com/
You might want to support ExEn, this guys is trying to get support to open source his port to iPhone, Mac and Android.
Hello Andrei :) well on XNATouch Stuff currently they are on 1.0 stable version wich only supports XNA 3.1 and only with spritebatch no 3D available at the moment, in the next releases the will be dropping 3.1 support because you can no longer release games on XBLIG that are built under 3.1 and they will be bringing XNA 4.0 support, when you may ask unfortunately there is no ETA. As this is an open source implementation brought to all of us by a great community its prone to bugs but as a great community we all are you can always submit a bug or fix the code yourself and submit a patch.
The best thing you can do its to give it a chance and try then decide yourself if it fits your needs.
Hope this helps
Alex
You can so do this now! Time has marched on and XNA development is a reality on iOS using MonoGame.
Here are some app store games written using this framework:
Console Wars
Chicken Store
Derfwood
