Possible to limit the countries an iOS application is released to? - ios

Is it possible to limit the countries an iOS application is released to? Is it possible to limit a version to a certain country?
If so, where could I find more information. I attempted searching the documentation but was unable to locate decisive information regarding this. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can control which App Stores you app is sold in. This can be done in iTunes Connect.
First, choose your app from your App Dashboard. Next, look for "Rights and Pricing" in the top right corner.
Next, scroll down. You will see a link to sell in specific countries.
After clicking on that link, you will be able to select which stores your app is for sale in.

In App Store Connect as of March 2021
1. Click your app dropdown
2. Click Pricing and Availability,
Under Availability click EDIT
you'll see

Yes, you can set the stores it will be available in when you upload. It's under one of the tabs, where you set the price.

You can select the territories where you want your app to be available
on the App Store.
By default, all countries or regions are selected, but you can
deselect territories where you don’t want your app for sale.

App Store - App Privacy - Can't update app privacy questions as admin

Since yesterday, a new privacy policy is enforced when submitting your app for reviewing on the App Store through App Store Connect. Before yesterday, I was able to submit my app, but today, I get the following error:
Before you can submit this app for review, an Admin must provide information about the app’s privacy practices in the App Privacy section. Learn more.
When I go to General -> App Privacy, I get the following message:
[...] Account Holders and Admins are responsible for disclosing what data is collected from this app and how it may be used.
According to this guide (step 3), a 'get started' button should appear leading to a page where I should be able to answer privacy questions. However, this button does not appear. It seems that I am not able to answer these questions anywhere else, even though my role is admin. Does anybody else encounter the same issue? Am I overlooking something?
Note that I've been promoted to admin only minutes ago. It could be that my role is not yet propagated to the privacy section, but the rest of app connect does reflect my new role correctly, so it does not look like it's not propagated.
I just had to click "Publish" in the top right corner.
I thought this was to publish the app, but it was actually to publish the privacy policy that I'd already filled out. The other sections didn't have a special "Publish" button, so this was confusing.
I also faced this issue.
The solution is, we need to provide some information in App Privacy menu.
In the App Privacy section there is "Get Started" button that did't appear to me because I wasn't the holder or admin of that account.
Got it fixed by selecting App Information / Edit User Access, setting Full Access, and then I logged out and logged in again.
If you're use any ads in your app you must select that you collect data via your app in your App Privacy and then select which data you collect like user location. You may have also add other data if your app collect those data. Yesterday i upload an application and its live now.
First select Yes in App Privacy
Then add which data you collect
I'm also facing same issues. Finally resolved issue select Analytics and USER Tracking option. I think, Apple force to user to select Tracking user option in App Privacy. I'm not using anything tracking, AD BUT Apple forcefully allow to select USER Tracking option. I have registered appeal to Apple... :)
I just need to fill all the details in App Privacy section & hit publish button on right top corner. You can submit your builds after this step.
I fixed this by asking my Administrator to set my account as Admin role, then after few minutes (refresh page) the blue buttons appeared itself and I can complete the privacy questions. Please don't forget to click on "Publish" (on the top right corner) after you finish filling the form.
It appeared to be a propagation issue after all. Problem solved itself an hour later.
I also faced this issue..and solution is go to -> App Privacy -> Product page review and data Types and set according to your app uses or you can set Data is not collected from this app.
Don't forget to save changes pr proceed.enter image description here
Go to App Privacy and Click on Apply
On the Right Top Corner
Thanks

How see total app installs on iTunes Connect?

I see on iTunes Connect in AppAnalytics/SalesAndTrends sections only app units (that means the difference of app installs from previous week/month).
Where can I see the total app installs number?
Thanks
As of this post I was able to get lifetime numbers. From the App Store Connect dashboard nagivate to 'Sales and Trends'. From there click 'Units' (left nav, under 'Sales'). Then click the date selection input- 'Lifetime' should appear in the date selection popover.
iTunes Connect provide a date filter for how many time apps were installed during a particular time period. You can use that filter for this situation.

Make my app only available to people in a certain country?

I want to write an iOS app which is only available, usable, or downloadable for people who live in a certain country, for example only to people who live in China or only to people in USA. How could I make this happen?
You can do that in iTunes Connect.
Go to your app's detail page on iTunes Connect
Choose App Store tab
Choose Pricing and Availability tab situated on the left side
Click on the Edit button situated under Availability section
Select the territories you want to sell the app
Press Save
Refer Changing the Territories Rights Information for more detailed information

Select a frequency/intensity level for each Apple content description iTunes Connect error

I have uploaded my one app in Apple Store, its live. Now i need to send metadata for the new version of the same app. But before uploading new binary for second version, i need to change large app icon (1024x1024). Currently my new version app status is "Prepare for Upload" and first version app status is "Ready for sale" on iTunes connect. Now after clicking on edit option in Version Information section. I have changed the app large logo successfully..but when i am clicking on save button then its not saving properly, and i am getting below error :
Select a frequency/intensity level for each Apple content description.
I have checked this link also : How do you change the app store's large icon on iTunes connect?
I think this error related to Ratings, i have given all the ratings of Apple content description as None (Total 4+ Ratings). Please help me to solve this error. I have attached screenshot for reference.. Thanks
If you couldn't find edit button for age rating like me in the app information page, It is in the preparing for submission page.
The alert indicates you have not filled all the Rating - Apple Content Descriptions which is below in your screenshot.
Let's go quick to the answer you need and then to the explanation. When you update your app, you have to check some checkboxes that are not by default:
As you can see in the image, my app has three rating fields that are empty: Medical / Treatment information, Unrestricted Web Access and Gambling and Contests.
You should check those for your app.
Now for the longer explanation:
In the case that you have filled all data, then I recommend to switch to another Internet browser, since it could also be a problem with processing the data you are submitting.
By the way, Apple changed the section. You may have received an e-mail:
There have been several recent changes that may impact the content rating of your apps. These changes give users more information about your apps and help ensure legal compliance.
New App Content Descriptions
You can now use the following descriptions: Medical/Treatment Information, Gambling and Contests, and Unrestricted Web Access (for apps that permit navigating and viewing web pages, for example with an embedded browser).
Update to Territory-Specific Restrictions Based on Rating
Territory-specific restrictions in the Korea, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia App Stores have changed. You can see the current rating and territory restrictions for your apps in Manage Your Apps on iTunes Connect.
New Rating System for the Brazil App Store
In case you had difficulty finding the ratings section in the new iTunes Connect:
In the new iTunes Connect (2014) under the versions tab, scroll down to General App Information where you will see a small section titled Rating with a blue button titled edit. Tapping this button will bring up the Ratings section where you must make sure all fields are check-boxed. See attached screenshot
As described in the alert (Red text), make sure you have selected either of the options for all Content Descriptions.
Go to General -> App Information -> General App Information -> Age Rating -> Edit

In app purchase maximum limit

I heard that apple is newly offer additional 10,000 items for the in app purchase products (Beside the original 10,000 items) .. if that is correct how can I achieve that ?
Thanks
Login to itunes connect. In the bottom panel, click contact us.
In resulting dropdown, select 'Manage your in app purchases'.
In second dropdown, select 'Eligible for in app purchase'.
This will open a section with relavent links in apple documentation.
If this does not answer it, there will be one more 'Contact us' link which will directly take you to a question form that will be submitted directly to Apple customer care. That should be your final place for the answer.
