Programmatically modify url startpage? - url

I'd like to modify the page where the user ends up if he isn't recognized.
I'm using a token login system so they're redirected to /c/portal/login by a different system.
I'm having some issues with response.sendRedirect (posted another question for that), so I was hoping I could programmatically modify the url startpage, but so far I haven't found something that has the same function as last_path but then for the startpage in webkeys.
Any input would be appreciated.

Create a hook with a custom "Login Post Action". You'll find some outdated information here (it speaks about the ext-environment, but you should do it in a hook). Liferay IDE or Liferay Developer Studio will help with the generation of such a hook. The code you find in the Wiki should be ok. Otherwise google for more samples (Login Post Action is the keyword: This is code that will be executed just after a successful login)

Jira: Adding a Link to in issue doesn't work for a project

I've been using Jira recently and I came across a problem that I don't know how to fix it.
I have to Jira instances. when I try to link an issue to one on the other instance it doesn't link. It used to work but now it won't.
every time I try to link it I will get this even though for other projects it wasn't needed :
and when press authenticate I get this page:
afterward, when I press the link nothing changes.
Please if you are familiar with this problem help me.
afterward, when I press the link nothing changes.
I tried to link the other way and it's working but I still can't identify where the problem is.
Please if you are familiar with this problem help me.
It's all about Application Links.
Some server changes (like reverse proxy, update in web.xml, etc.) or changes in the admin user account may break the links.
You need the check Application Links between two instances; if there is a problem, try to solve that first.
If not, remove the application link from both instances and add it again.
By the way, if the users in the two Jira instances are same, enable the "OAuth" in the application links (and also be sure that the admin account is same on these two instances.)

TestCafe: Clicking SSL link does not load page

In a test, I click a link (SSL Cert) link that does not actually load the expected URL page. It hangs and as far as I can tell no issues when I look at network or console. Is there a known issue with TestCafe and clicking certain kinds of links. Clicking the same link with Selenium and Robot Framework successfully takes you to the expected URL.
This information is not sufficient to reproduce the problem. Please create a separate issue in the TestCafe Github repository using the following form
I would appreciate it if you provide us with your project or url to your site and your test code. It will help us determine the cause of the issue efficiently.

How do I modify recorded ranorex scripts using c#

I am a newbie to Ranorex. I have a couple of recorded ranorex scripts. I want to modify them using C#. In Ranorex studio, when I click on View Code from a recorded script, it says that I cannot modify the C# code that is displayed there. I searched online about how to do this but haven't found an answer. I would appreciate if anyone can help. I am using Ranorex Studio v7.0.1 on a Windows Server 2012 R2.
Alternatively, if I can only create the code using C# and use it with Ranorex, I am fine with that approach as well, although it might take some more time.
Thanks
To convert a recorded part to user code that can be edited:
Right click on the action in the rxrec file
Select "Convert to user code"
What this will do is create a user code element for which the code can be edited.
To create a user code action yourself:
Click "Add new action" in the rxrec file
Click on "User code"
Double click the created action and you will be directed to the code editor
More info here: https://www.ranorex.com/help/latest/lesson-5-ranorex-recorder/user-code-actions
When i worked with ranorex - user code actions were the way i did my automation logic. Never used recordings.
I also suggest you learn more about the Ranorex Repository as you will need the knowledge for it to successfully develop user code actions and automation logic. Info here: https://www.ranorex.com/help/latest/lesson-6-ui-mapping-with-ranorex-repository
Later on you can start using code modules. But until you have better knowledge of Ranorex and automation principles i suggest you do it through the recording modules as you have a lot of reference and helping methods/actions there.
Another point to remember is you can always add an action and check the code to see how it works and try to implement it yourself throught the user code actions.

Branch.io returns me a File Not Found

I'm trying the Branch.io API and I think I'm getting a weird problem because I'm not able to create my links properly: I can use the link for starting the app without parameter: this link http://4t3i.app.link/KDSYTMnSZs.
It works perfectly but as soon as I try to put some parameter following the doc for appending query parameters, it returns a File Not Found Webpage.
I tried:
https://4t3i.app.link/a/?&jobId=saucisse
https://4t3i.app.link/a?%24deeplink_path=article%2Fjan%2F123&%24fallback_url=https%3A%2F%2Fgoogle.com&channel=facebook&feature=affiliate&user_id=4562&name=Alex (that's the example they give)
I have the feeling I'm really missing something but no idea what. Is that so easy to add parameters: just a/ and then appending parameters??
Alex from Branch.io here:
We recently made a major back-end change to accommodate some new technical limitations that Apple imposed with iOS 9.3.1, and unfortunately it looks like we didn't fully update all our docs yet!
Your links are correct, but the /a is no longer necessary. So they would be:
https://4t3i.app.link?&jobId=saucisse
https://4t3i.app.link?%24deeplink_path=article%2Fjan%2F123&%24fallback_url=https%3A%2F%2Fgoogle.com&channel=facebook&feature=affiliate&user_id=4562&name=Alex
When you open these, you'll be able to see the link clicks coming through on this dashboard page
Thanks for noticing this. I'll make sure we get the documentation changedto reflect the new system.
Edit: also note that those examples above create new links with the specified parameters. If you simply want to append an additional parameter to an existing link, you'd do this: http://4t3i.app.link/KDSYTMnSZs?jobId=saucisse

SharePoint 2007 Publishing Site

Created a new Publishing site to serve a portal for our division. It contains several custom coded webparts that fetch data from the db and/or RSS feds and outside links.
I found it absolutely dumb that as a owner I'm having to approve my own page. Is there was to turn off this functionality? Or modifying so that only a document library runs through the approval process?
In the edit mode, there is a link "Reminder: Check for Unpublished Items" and if I click it all of my web parts and all the links, pictures, and other contents within these web parts are highlighted with a fat dotted red line. How do I get rid of this since what sharepoint is complaining about is embedded in these webpart?
If I try to create a doc library called "Announcements" I get an error:
"The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Requested URL: /Announcements/Forms/AllItems.aspx"
For some reason it does not like the word, as I can call it BuggsBunny and all is fine. Is "Announcements" a key word of some kind in SharePoint? I really need to create a list with this name.
Thanks,
Risho

You should choose, when you are creating your site, a "Publishing site" template rather than a "Publishing site with workflows". The main difference between these two is the fact that you'll approval workflow on nearly everything activated with the later while the former is free of it but still allows you to activate it if needed

Don't know where you are hosting your webpart ressources (style library, document library, image library ? outside of SharePoint ? On the 12 hives ?) but if they are within SharePoint libraries and the content is not published with a 1.0 version available for the readers, you'll have this error. Deactivate the approval workflow or publish AND approve theses items. Please also note that external content will probably trigger this red link, but I suggest you to use a limited "visitor" account to check up the final rendering. The "outlining" is a nice addition but it's not always working as expected, mainly with external content.

There is a default annoucement list in SharePoint (with its dedicated template, not sure that you have one provisioned with the publishing template that you picked, that might be a reason why you have this strange error. The default announcements list or its template is not a document library. If you want a document library with that name, and that specific name gives you that error, I suggest that you create a document library called AnnouncementsDocuments and then change its title for "Annoucements", that way the url will be clean of the dreaded name and you'll have the specified title.
For the error message, have a look within the source of the error message page, you might have, in some comments, more information that might help us to help you.
Hope it will help :)
