iOS images galleriers - ios

I'd like to develop an app to visualize galleries and I really like the Flickr official app or Instabam app style.
Basically, something like this (instabam app)
my idea was to use a scrollview with buttons to easily handle touch event.
Is this a good approach?
Are there better approaches?

Have you considered using an open source library such as AQGridView?

iOS8 - Crop and Straighten image as built in photos tool

In my app, i want users to click a photo, then i want to allow them to edit it for crop/rotate/straighten. Can i use built-in photos app for that? or is there any open-source/api to have similar view controller.
I know it's a possible duplicate of Is there a view controller for image crop and rotate works like iOS 8 photo.app? but i found no answer here as well. Please let me know if it's possible?
Unfortunately, no.
UIImagePickerViewController allowEditing property, when set to YES, provides you a very simple cropping UI, but it doesn't support advanced rotation as iOS Photo app.
So you'll have to make it yourself.
The github projects in the question you linked might be a good starting point for that. (here's another one)
Good luck !
I wrote one in Swift, you can continue to develop based on this: QCropper

How to automatically adjust a photo (ie. brighten, contrast) on iOS?

My iOS app (objective-C) handles photos. I'd like it to be able offer the user a way to automatically "adjust" an image, like how iOS itself does in the Photos app (little magic-wand icon), or how facebook does it. This basically means auto-brightness and auto-contrast adjustment.
So far i've found "filtrr" (more concerned with adding color it seems), and OpenCV (uhh, feels like using a nuclear missile to swat a fly with). Any other hints? Is there some library or a way of even doing this natively in iOS?
thx!
Look into Core Image for info on filters and how to apply them. Apple's programming guide is a good place to start.
Once you're up and running with Core Image, see the autoAdjustmentFilters method for getting a set of filters that's preconfigured for "one touch enhance" kinds of usage.

How to implement/import graphic design in iOS apps

I've developed a iOS application for a customer and now it's time to make it nicer by implementing/importing the graphic design provided by the graphic designer.
Here is the problem:
the graphic designer gave me just some PNG pictures which show how the application should look like.
I was thus wondering:
What's the best way to implement the graphic design or import it into XCode?
Is there a way for the graphic designer to provide some material I can directly use to implement the graphic design?
Is there any tool (either free or professional) for helping iOS designers and developers to cooperate?
Thanks.
You can use a UIImageView and place it on the background of a uiview so you can layout native buttons and objects to best imitate the graphics they sent you using native controls or you can use other helpers online such as these.
Honestly, IMO it's generally better to use their graphics as a template then recreate what they are wanting to achieve using native controls to adhere to the HIG Apple provides. Giving the user a nice at home feeling while also giving the client the look they are wanting to achieve is the general idea to a successful app. Each OS has it's own "look and feel" that the users come to expect.

Photo Gallery like table iOS

I am in the process of designing an application that will look like the image below. I am wondering if there is anything out there that will help me create this style of a table. I have seen three20 and other sources. I already figured out how to load images from the website I need, using JSON, now I need to put it into that view style. . It looks like it may be a basic gallery layout, but I am not sure where the best place to start may be.

EDIT: Thanks guys, this ended up being quite helpful as well: http://www.scott-sherwood.com/ios-6-uicollectionviewcontroller/
Try to check UICollectionView https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/WindowsViews/Conceptual/CollectionViewPGforIOS/Introduction/Introduction.html
Have a look at UICollectionView. It's perfect for that sort of thing.
Ask again with specific questions if you have them.
The new UICollectionView framework is made for things like this, and it's really easy to use. The only downside to using a collection view is that it's only available on iOS 6+, so if you want backwards compatibility, you might want to look into third-party open source frameworks.
Here's a great tutorial on UICollectionViews to help you get started.

Using flash inside a native iOS app

I'm working on a native Objective-C iOS app and I'm wondering if it is possible to embed an animation created in Flash into my app. The animation doesn't have to be interactive, all I need is a couple of animated screens (intro screen, loading screen). Is this posible?
Maybe the long way around since it doesn't sound like you need a Flash-heavy type app but I have seen a few Flash-toCocoa2D exporters around. I haven't got around to trying them yet but they look useful. Of course you probably have to be using the Cocoa2D frame work to use them - unless there is an easy way to extract + repurpose that relevant code from the Cocoa2D source.
Anyway, probably overkill for what you need but here are some links:

Nope...Apple will reject any app that uses flash
you could use video player for intro screen (i've seen it on a few apps) or simple picture animation using UIView animation methods
here is a tutorial
