Some things to check;
Does your jad file list all of the cod files? (I believe the tool is jadtool.exe or possible updatejad.exe and is included with the JDE -- it will update your JAD file with the individual COD files instead of one large COD file).
Are the individual COD files all in the same location as your JAD?

I'm using a mac to upload my extension (which can upload fine to the google chrome extension store)
Is the Microsoft Edge store the same? Should I do anything differently?
I just tried to upload the exact zip file and I'm getting these errors.
Sorry in advance, this is probably a noob question. I have zero experience with the microsoft edge store so I'm not even sure if they allow/make possible to upload from mac? (assuming this from every error containing _MACOSX error)
Here's the error in text format
The following checks failed:
Package acceptance validation error: Files or directories outside directory that contains manifest.json chromium are not allowed: __MACOSX, __MACOSX\._chromium, __MACOSX\chromium, __MACOSX\chromium\._.DS_Store, __MACOSX\chromium\._background.js, __MACOSX\chromium\._geo.js, __MACOSX\chromium\._index.html, __MACOSX\chromium\._main.js, __MACOSX\chromium\._manifest.json, __MACOSX\chromium\._popup.html, __MACOSX\chromium\._popup.js, __MACOSX\chromium\AutoStuff, __MACOSX\chromium\css, __MACOSX\chromium\img, __MACOSX\chromium\js, __MACOSX\chromium\_locales, __MACOSX\chromium\AutoStuff\._insert-auto-message.js, __MACOSX\chromium\AutoStuff\._shared-basic.js, __MACOSX\chromium\AutoStuff\._shared-website.js, __MACOSX\chromium\css\._.DS_Store, __MACOSX\chromium\css\._jquery.toast.min.css, __MACOSX\chromium\css\._popup.css, __MACOSX\chromium\css\._style.css, __MACOSX\chromium\img\._.DS_Store, __MACOSX\chromium\img\._icon-128.png, __MACOSX\chromium\img\._icon-1280x800.png, __MACOSX\chromium\img\._icon-16.png, __MACOSX\chromium\img\._logo.png, __MACOSX\chromium\js\._jquery-3.4.1.min.js, __MACOSX\chromium\js\._jquery.toast.min.js, __MACOSX\chromium\_locales\._.DS_Store
Edit: I wonder, do I need to format the zip file differently?
I try to search for the error your package failed certification. make corrections and certify again.
I found that other people had a similar issue before. I suggest you try to reupload the package. See if it uploads successfully. If the issue persists then there may be some other issue with the package or extension.
You said you are trying to upload the exact same zip file to the MS store. You may need to port your existing Chromium extension to Microsoft Edge
You can refer to this docs may help you to know the process to publish the Edge extension to the MS store.
I had the same issue and got over it by using the shell to zip it:
# remove MacOS' .DS_Store file
rm ./my-edge-extension-folder/.DS_Store
# zip the extension
zip -r my-edge-extension.zip ./my-edge-extension-folder
I have a simple "hello world" blackberry application. I want to put my compiled files (.jad,.jar or .cod) to my web server and let my application to be downloaded by my blackberry users.
I have tried to use .jad files for downloading. However when I click the button, the blackberry device displays the content of the .jad file line by line and nothing happens.
In short, I want to put a link on my page and when a user click it, my app will be downloaded his/her device.
How can I do that ?
Thanks
Your web server has to apply the appropriate MIME type to both the JAD and the COD files.
JAD = text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor
COD = application/vnd.rim.cod
See your web server documentation on how to specify MIME types for served files. Quite often you can do this with a .htaccess file.
I'm having a little problem! I'm designing an asp mvc 4 application for a client which should import and process an excel file. To process the excel file I use the C# version of the NPOI framework.
My client uses mac and I use windows.
Everything works fine on windows but when my client tries it on his mac, it does not work anymore. After doing some searching I found that the content type of the uploaded file was "application/octet-stream" when uploading from mac (opposed to "application/vnd.ms-excel" when uploading from windows).
We use the exact same file, the only difference is that my clients file is saved on a mac and mine on a windows pc (we both got the same file from google docs).
It became weirder when he was experiencing the same error when he tried it on a windows pc with the file which was saved on mac.
Does anybody have an idea on what is going on? Or how I can get my NPOI processing working when the content type is "application/octet-stream"?
The browser can freely choose what content type to send. It could even send you "fluffy/bytes" if it wanted and you can't do anything about it. It appears that Safari on Mac does not know what an Excel file is so it does not send the Excel content type.
What is NPOI? Why does your application require that content type to be set? You can recognize that this is an Excel file by looking at the file extension that was posted. If neither content type not extension were posted (entirely possible) you can only guess by the file contents.
I built a blackberry app with Phonegap. Phonegap build website built my app and then sent me back a StandardInstall.zip. WHen I open it up, I have cod, alx , csl and cso files. Don't I also need a jad file in order for me to upload the whole app to my webserver for other blackberries to install my app?
If so, how do I create the jad file? If I don't need the jad file, how do I install the app? When I go to http://mysite.com/filename.cod, it just downloads the cod. It doesn't install?
Man, I wasted a whole day on this. So I ended up finding a random jad file on the internet which i"m posting here:

Replace anywhere you see [CAPS] with your values. Everything else I left the same. I have no idea if what I've done is a sustainable way for deploying cod files. I also don't know if there are any consequences for not changing any of the other values like creat dates, file sizes, etc...
I have four files (config.xml, index.html, scripts.js, and styles.css). The html has a canvas and a form for users input. I want to run on blackberry simulator (Torch version 6...). I create a zip file of all those files. Then create a bin folder. Now when I run the simulator and load the application, I have either blanc screen, either the following error: Resource does not exist.
Here is the config file code:

I had the same problem. You need to use local:/// prefix before the name of the local resource to access it.
