Looking for the equivalent of Ant Replace task in Nant
As far as I can tell, the filter features in NAnt is exactly what you're looking for. Supported by the <copy> and <move> tasks, you define token replacement expressions that will transform file content during file copy/move operations.
There is no direct equivalent in Nant.
This link http://maonet.wordpress.com/2008/08/12/replace-file-content-in-nant-task/ has a couple of options.
You can write a custom task:
<target name="deftask-replregexp"
description="define custum task like ants task replaceregexp">
<script language="C#">
<!-- NAnt 0.92 reference states that this is loaded by default. Do not
know why this is required. -->

I am trying to marshal/unmarshal a Color to XML. The JAXB project had example code for doing this exact thing via a XmlJavaTypeAdapter https://jaxb.java.net/guide/XML_layout_and_in_memory_data_layout.html.
The marshaling works fine and the output is what I expect:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<beanWithColor>
<foreground>#ff0000ff</foreground>
<name>CleverName</name>
</beanWithColor>
However, when trying to go from XML to object the unmarshal method is never called. Can anyone provide insight as to why? After it is unmarshalled foreground color is null and I have confirmed with my debugger that unmarshal is never being called:
BeanWithColor{foreground=null, name='CleverName'}
SCCE:
#XmlRootElement
public class BeanWithColor {
private String name;
private Color foreground;
public BeanWithColor() {
}
public BeanWithColor(Color foreground, String name) {
this.foreground = foreground;
this.name = name;
}
#XmlJavaTypeAdapter(ColorAdapter.class)
public Color getForeground() {
return this.foreground;
}
public void setForeground(Color foreground) {
this.foreground = foreground;
}
public String getName() {
return name;
}
public void setName(String name) {
this.name = name;
}
#Override
public String toString() {
final StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder("BeanWithColor{");
sb.append("foreground=").append(foreground);
sb.append(", name='").append(name).append('\'');
sb.append('}');
return sb.toString();
}
public static void main(String[] args) {
BeanWithColor bean = new BeanWithColor(Color.blue, "CleverName");
try {
StringWriter writer = new StringWriter(1000);
JAXBContext context = JAXBContext.newInstance(BeanWithColor.class);
final Marshaller marshaller = context.createMarshaller();
marshaller.marshal(bean, writer);
System.out.println("Marshaled XML: " + writer);
final Unmarshaller unmarshaller = context.createUnmarshaller();
BeanWithColor beanWithColor = (BeanWithColor) unmarshaller.unmarshal(new StringReader(writer.toString()));
System.out.println("beanWithColor = " + beanWithColor);
} catch (JAXBException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
}
static class ColorAdapter extends XmlAdapter<String, Color> {
public Color unmarshal(String s) {
return Color.decode(s);
}
public String marshal(Color color) {
return '#' + Integer.toHexString(color.getRGB());
}
}
}
I suspect that XmlAdapter is being called for unmarshal but that the Color.decode method is failing (this is what happens when I debugged your code).
Color.decode("#ff0000ff");
results in the following:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "ff0000ff"
at java.lang.NumberFormatException.forInputString(NumberFormatException.java:48)
at java.lang.Integer.parseInt(Integer.java:461)
at java.lang.Integer.valueOf(Integer.java:528)
at java.lang.Integer.decode(Integer.java:958)
at java.awt.Color.decode(Color.java:707)
You can set a ValidationEventHandler on the Unmarshaller to get a hook on all failures. By default a JAXB impl wouldn't report that problem.
The Fix
The ColorAdapter.marshal method needs to be fixed to return the correct value.
String rgb = Integer.toHexString(color.getRGB());
return "#" + rgb.substring(2, rgb.length());

with regards

Depending your version, you should either provide a getter for docsmx (preferred, pre-S2.1.mumble), or make docsmx public (not as preferred, S2.1+).
Or, based on your code, use the correct getter:
<s:iterator value="documents">
<s:property value="name" /></br>
</s:iterator>
A couple of notes: documents should likely be declared a List, not ArrayList, although in this case it almost certainly doesn't matter. It's a good habit to get in to, though, coding to an interface when the implementation doesn't matter.
I'd also consider tightening up the code a little bit:
public String execute() {
if (username == null) {
message = "Unable to fetch";
return "failure";
}
docsmx = cs.getData();
return "success";
}
This allows a more natural reading, makes it more clear what the two states are (success and failure), keeps them very distinct, and slightly shorter.
I would like to render an RDLC report in HTML within an ASP.NET MVC project.
I successfully made a prototype that renders an RDLC report in PDF, Excel, and TIFF image, with the help of this article. But I was surprised that HTML is not one of the default available formats in LocalReport.Render().
I came across this article, which describes a trick to enable the rendering format of HTML4.0, but I think that is only for a ReportViewer control (I could be wrong though).
The question is, in MVC how to render an RDLC report in HTML just like a ReportView does (see the screenshot below)?
This is a simple task. You can follow the following steps.
Create a folder in your solution and give a name Reports.
Add a ASP.Net web form and named it ReportView.aspx
Create a Class ReportData and add it to the Reports folder. Add the following code
to the Class.
public class ReportData
{
public ReportData()
{
this.ReportParameters = new List<Parameter>();
this.DataParameters = new List<Parameter>();
}
public bool IsLocal { get; set; }
public string ReportName { get; set; }
public List<Parameter> ReportParameters { get; set; }
public List<Parameter> DataParameters { get; set; }
}
public class Parameter
{
public string ParameterName { get; set; }
public string Value { get; set; }
}
Add another Class and named it ReportBasePage.cs. Add the following code in this Class.
public class ReportBasePage : System.Web.UI.Page
{
protected ReportData ReportDataObj { get; set; }
protected override void OnInit(EventArgs e)
{
base.OnInit(e);
if (HttpContext.Current != null)
if (HttpContext.Current.Session["ReportData"] != null)
{
ReportDataObj = HttpContext.Current.Session["ReportData"] as ReportData;
return;
}
ReportDataObj = new ReportData();
CaptureRouteData(Page.Request);
}
private void CaptureRouteData(HttpRequest request)
{
var mode = (request.QueryString["rptmode"] + "").Trim();
ReportDataObj.IsLocal = mode == "local" ? true : false;
ReportDataObj.ReportName = request.QueryString["reportname"] + "";
string dquerystr = request.QueryString["parameters"] + "";
if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(dquerystr.Trim()))
{
var param1 = dquerystr.Split(',');
foreach (string pm in param1)
{
var rp = new Parameter();
var kd = pm.Split('=');
if (kd[0].Substring(0, 2) == "rp")
{
rp.ParameterName = kd[0].Replace("rp", "");
if (kd.Length > 1) rp.Value = kd[1];
ReportDataObj.ReportParameters.Add(rp);
}
else if (kd[0].Substring(0, 2) == "dp")
{
rp.ParameterName = kd[0].Replace("dp", "");
if (kd.Length > 1) rp.Value = kd[1];
ReportDataObj.DataParameters.Add(rp);
}
}
}
}
}
Add ScriptManager to the ReportView.aspx page. Now Take a Report Viewer to the page. In report viewer set the property AsyncRendering="false". The code is given below.
<rsweb:ReportViewer ID="ReportViewerRSFReports" runat="server" AsyncRendering="false"
Width="1271px" Height="1000px" >
</rsweb:ReportViewer>
Add two NameSpace in ReportView.aspx.cs
using Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms;
using System.IO;
Change the System.Web.UI.Page to ReportBasePage. Just replace your code using the following.
public partial class ReportView : ReportBasePage
{
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (!IsPostBack)
{
RenderReportModels(this.ReportDataObj);
}
}
private void RenderReportModels(ReportData reportData)
{
RASolarERPData dal = new RASolarERPData();
List<ClosingInventoryValuation> objClosingInventory = new List<ClosingInventoryValuation>();
// Reset report properties.
ReportViewerRSFReports.Height = Unit.Parse("100%");
ReportViewerRSFReports.Width = Unit.Parse("100%");
ReportViewerRSFReports.CssClass = "table";
// Clear out any previous datasources.
this.ReportViewerRSFReports.LocalReport.DataSources.Clear();
// Set report mode for local processing.
ReportViewerRSFReports.ProcessingMode = ProcessingMode.Local;
// Validate report source.
var rptPath = Server.MapPath(#"./Report/" + reportData.ReportName +".rdlc");
//#"E:\RSFERP_SourceCode\RASolarERP\RASolarERP\Reports\Report\" + reportData.ReportName + ".rdlc";
//Server.MapPath(#"./Report/ClosingInventory.rdlc");
if (!File.Exists(rptPath))
return;
// Set report path.
this.ReportViewerRSFReports.LocalReport.ReportPath = rptPath;
// Set report parameters.
var rpPms = ReportViewerRSFReports.LocalReport.GetParameters();
foreach (var rpm in rpPms)
{
var p = reportData.ReportParameters.SingleOrDefault(o => o.ParameterName.ToLower() == rpm.Name.ToLower());
if (p != null)
{
ReportParameter rp = new ReportParameter(rpm.Name, p.Value);
ReportViewerRSFReports.LocalReport.SetParameters(rp);
}
}
//Set data paramater for report SP execution
objClosingInventory = dal.ClosingInventoryReport(this.ReportDataObj.DataParameters[0].Value);
// Load the dataSource.
var dsmems = ReportViewerRSFReports.LocalReport.GetDataSourceNames();
ReportViewerRSFReports.LocalReport.DataSources.Add(new ReportDataSource(dsmems[0], objClosingInventory));
// Refresh the ReportViewer.
ReportViewerRSFReports.LocalReport.Refresh();
}
}
Add a Folder to the Reports Folder and named it Report. Now add a RDLC report to the Reports/Report folder and named it ClosingInventory.rdlc.
Now add a Controller and Named it ReportController. In to the controller add the following action method.
public ActionResult ReportViewer()
{
ViewData["reportUrl"] = "../Reports/View/local/ClosingInventory/";
return View();
}
Add a view page click on the ReportViewer Controller. Named the view page ReportViewer.cshtml. Add the following code to the view page.
#using (Html.BeginForm("Login"))
{
#Html.DropDownList("ddlYearMonthFormat", new SelectList(ViewBag.YearMonthFormat, "YearMonthValue", "YearMonthName"), new { #class = "DropDown" })
Stock In Transit: #Html.TextBox("txtStockInTransit", "", new { #class = "LogInTextBox" })
<input type="submit" onclick="return ReportValidationCheck();" name="ShowReport"
value="Show Report" />
}
Add an Iframe. Set the property of the Iframe as follows
frameborder="0" width="1000"; height="1000"; style="overflow:hidden;" scrolling="no"
Add Following JavaScript to the viewer.
function ReportValidationCheck() {
var url = $('#hdUrl').val();
var yearmonth = $('#ddlYearMonthFormat').val();
var stockInTransit = $('#txtStockInTransit').val()
if (stockInTransit == "") {
stockInTransit = 0;
}
if (yearmonth == "0") {
alert("Please Select Month Correctly.");
}
else {
//url = url + "dpSpYearMonth=" + yearmonth + ",rpYearMonth=" + yearmonth + ",rpStockInTransit=" + stockInTransit;
url = "../Reports/ReportView.aspx?rptmode=local&reportname=ClosingInventory¶meters=dpSpYearMonth=" + yearmonth + ",rpYearMonth=" + yearmonth + ",rpStockInTransit=" + stockInTransit;
var myframe = document.getElementById("ifrmReportViewer");
if (myframe !== null) {
if (myframe.src) {
myframe.src = url;
}
else if (myframe.contentWindow !== null && myframe.contentWindow.location !== null) {
myframe.contentWindow.location = url;
}
else { myframe.setAttribute('src', url); }
}
}
return false;
}
In Web.config file add the following key to the appSettings section add
key="UnobtrusiveJavaScriptEnabled" value="true"
In system.web handlers Section add the following key
add verb="*" path="Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd" type = "Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.HttpHandler, Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"
Change your data source as your own. This solution is very simple and I think every one enjoy it.
You can use the ReportViewer object to render an RDLC to PDF or HTML. For my case (below) I wanted a PDF document and I returned it as a FileContentResult ActionResult. If you want it to return as a download use the File ActionResult (I've commented that out for your use).
public ActionResult GetPackingSlipPDF(int shipmentId)
{
var shipment = _inboundShipmentService.GetInboundShipmentById(shipmentId);
Warning[] warnings;
string mimeType;
string[] streamids;
string encoding;
string filenameExtension;
var viewer = new ReportViewer();
viewer.LocalReport.ReportPath = #"Labels\PackingSlip.rdlc";
var shipLabel = new ShippingLabel { ShipmentId = shipment.FBAShipmentId, Barcode = GetBarcode(shipment.FBAShipmentId) };
viewer.LocalReport.DataSources.Add(new ReportDataSource("ShippingLabel", new List<ShippingLabel> { shipLabel }));
viewer.LocalReport.Refresh();
var bytes = viewer.LocalReport.Render("PDF", null, out mimeType, out encoding, out filenameExtension, out streamids, out warnings);
return new FileContentResult(bytes, mimeType);
//return File(bytes, mimeType, shipment.FBAShipmentId + "_PackingSlip.pdf");
}
How can I replace the Range values with Web.Config values in MVC3?
[Range(5, 20, ErrorMessage = "Initial Deposit should be between $5.00 and $20.00")
public decimal InitialDeposit { get; set; }
web.config:
<add key="MinBalance" value="5.00"/>
<add key="MaxDeposit" value="20.00"/>
You will need to create a custom attribute inheriting from RangeAttribute and implementing IClientValidatable.
public class ConfigRangeAttribute : RangeAttribute, IClientValidatable
{
public ConfigRangeAttribute(int Int) :
base
(Convert.ToInt32(WebConfigurationManager.AppSettings["IntMin"]),
Convert.ToInt32(WebConfigurationManager.AppSettings["IntMax"])) { }
public ConfigRangeAttribute(double Double) :
base
(Convert.ToDouble(WebConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DoubleMin"]),
Convert.ToDouble(WebConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DoubleMax"]))
{
_double = true;
}
private bool _double = false;
public override string FormatErrorMessage(string name)
{
return String.Format(ErrorMessageString, name, this.Minimum, this.Maximum);
}
public IEnumerable<ModelClientValidationRule> GetClientValidationRules(ModelMetadata metadata, ControllerContext context)
{
var rule = new ModelClientValidationRule
{
ErrorMessage = FormatErrorMessage(this.ErrorMessage),
ValidationType = "range",
};
rule.ValidationParameters.Add("min", this.Minimum);
rule.ValidationParameters.Add("max", this.Maximum);
yield return rule;
}
protected override ValidationResult IsValid(object value, ValidationContext validationContext)
{
if (value == null)
return null;
if (String.IsNullOrEmpty(value.ToString()))
return null;
if (_double)
{
var val = Convert.ToDouble(value);
if (val >= Convert.ToDouble(this.Minimum) && val <= Convert.ToDouble(this.Maximum))
return null;
}
else
{
var val = Convert.ToInt32(value);
if (val >= Convert.ToInt32(this.Minimum) && val <= Convert.ToInt32(this.Maximum))
return null;
}
return new ValidationResult(
FormatErrorMessage(this.ErrorMessage)
);
}
}
Example usage:
[ConfigRange(1)]
public int MyInt { get; set; }
[ConfigRange(1.1, ErrorMessage = "This one has gotta be between {1} and {2}!")]
public double MyDouble { get; set; }
The first example will return the default error message, and the second will return your custom error message. Both will use the range values defined in web.config.
You won't be able to do that in the attribute declaration on the property as the values need to be known at compile time. The easiest way that I could see of doing this would be to derive an attribute class from RangeAttribute and set the property values to come from web.config in the derived class. Something like
public class RangeFromConfigurationAttribute : RangeAttribute
{
public RangeFromConfigurationAttribute()
: base(int.Parse(WebConfigurationManager.AppSettings["MinBalance"]), int.Parse(WebConfigurationManager.AppSettings["MaxDeposit"]))
{
}
}
May want to come up with a better name though :)
Thinking out loud here, but ConfigRange attribute dictates that the config must be present for this to work. Can you not write a static class that would read your values from web.config, app.config or whatever you see fit, and then use that static class in existing range attribute?
public static class RangeReader
{
public static double Range1
{
// Replace this with logic to read from config file
get { return 20.0d; }
}
}
Then annotate your property with:
[Range(ConfigReader.Range1, 25.0d)]
I know that static classes are bad and there might well be a good reason for not doing this,but I thought i'll give a go.
I have a POJO named "FlashCard" which has a field named "links" which is collection (set) of Link objects. When I submit a FORM to my Action all the POJO fields are populated with values from the form except the collection of "links". I have no idea why this isn't getting populated.
Any advice on how to resolve this problem or how to better troubleshoot it would be much appreciated.
Also, my POJO's collection is a Set. Does it matter (or complicate things) that I'm using a Set and not a List?
I'm including a simplified version of my code below.
Here's my POJO:
public class FlashCard implements java.io.Serializable {
private int flashCardId;
private String question;
private String answer;
private Set<Link> links = new HashSet<Link>(0);
public FlashCard() {
}
public FlashCard(String question, String answer) {
this.question = question;
this.answer = answer;
}
public FlashCard(String question, String answer, Set<Link> links) {
this.question = question;
this.answer = answer;
this.links = links;
}
public int getFlashCardId() {
return this.flashCardId;
}
public void setFlashCardId(int flashCardId) {
this.flashCardId = flashCardId;
}
public String getQuestion() {
return this.question;
}
public void setQuestion(String question) {
this.question = question;
}
public String getAnswer() {
return this.answer;
}
public void setAnswer(String answer) {
this.answer = answer;
}
public Set<Link> getLinks() {
return this.links;
}
public void setLinks(Set<Link> links) {
this.links = links;
}
}
Here's the POJO for the Link object:
public class Link implements java.io.Serializable {
private int linkId;
private String url;
private Set<FlashCard> flashcards = new HashSet<FlashCard>(0);
public Link() {
}
public Link(String url) {
this.url = url;
}
public Link(String url, Set<FlashCard> flashcards) {
this.url = url;
this.flashcards = flashcards;
}
public int getLinkId() {
return this.linkId;
}
public void setLinkId(int linkId) {
this.linkId = linkId;
}
public String getUrl() {
return this.url;
}
public void setUrl(String url) {
this.url = url;
}
public Set<FlashCard> getFlashcards() {
return this.flashcards;
}
public void setFlashcards(Set<FlashCard> flashcards) {
this.flashcards = flashcards;
}
}
Here's the relevant part of the Action
public class FlashCardAction extends FlashCardsAppBaseAction implements ModelDriven<FlashCard>, Preparable, SessionAware {
static Logger logger = Logger.getLogger(FlashCardAction.class);

First of all I don't think you can use Set here, because Sets are unordered and you can't get an item from a set by an index or key like List and Map. The only way is to iterate through the set and get the items.
Second assuming you're using a collection other than set, in:
<s:textfield name="flashCard.links.url" key="label.flashcard.link" size="66"/>
You try to set the value of the text field to url field of links which is a collection and doesn't have such a field. So you need to get the specific item from the collection you're editing and pass the value. Like:
<s:textfield name="flashCard.links[0].url" key="label.flashcard.link" size="66"/>
But since you can't get the specific item you are editing I suggest you create a link field in your Action and set the updated link to it. Then you can perform a logic to relace the updated link with obsolete one in you flashcards. Hope this helps.
Since you are using modeldriven and the model is FlashCard, i think the following
<sjr:tinymce
id="flashCard.answer"
name="flashCard.answer"
key="label.flashcard.answer"
rows="20"
cols="50"
editorTheme="simple"/>
should be changed to
<sjr:tinymce
id="flashCard.answer"
name="answer"
key="label.flashcard.answer"
rows="20"
cols="50"
value="answer"
editorTheme="simple"/>
the name field should be given without the prefix flashcard.also you should provide the 'value' attribute in order for it to be pre-populated.
