i am working on a application where i have image onwhich when u click it gets navigated to browser with a link but it dont display web page. now i need a code for just displaying a simple web page in blackberry.. is it something to do with simulator and device as i am working with simulator.So kindly help me with it....I am newbie to blackberry.. thank you in advance for help..
The following code will open up the native browser to the URL you specify:
Browser.getDefaultSession().displayPage(url);
String url = "http://www.google.ca";
BrowserSession browserSession = Browser.getDefaultSession();
browserSession.displayPage(url);
browserSession.showBrowser();
There is a known issue where the browser won't automatically display in various firmware versions. To get around this, simply call browserSession.showBrowser()

I'm doing a responsive app using meteor and angular, and i have a share link functionality. On desktop it is an input field on read only and the user can copy the link. On mobile I want to do display an link with tag. But on iOS safari doesn't react correctly when I long touch the link. Usually there is a menu of option that are displayed, but here just nothing happen.
my simple code : {{url}}
Thanks in advance to anybody that has an idea about this issue.
Update: I just tried wiht <a ng-href="{{url}}">{{url}}</a> on Firefox android and it work perfectly. The issue is really an iOs case
You should use ng-href={{url}} instead.
My guess is that iOS reads first the {{url}} as it is, and when angular updates it to whatever value is stored in the url variable, it does not pick up the new value.
And because the string {{url}} is not valid url, it does not know how to work with that, so it does nothing.
(I am not iOS developer, but still, you should use ng-href for this)
For long touch/press especially for mobile: Check this angular directive link
I found a lot of tutorials about opening an app by a custom url scheme like:
myappname://
Thats nice but it would be great to open an app by registering the real app domain over the http link like
http://www.myappdomain.com/blablabla
So - for example - if a visitor comes to a webpage (on her/his mobile) it is normally opened in the browser, excepts the installed app is listening to the opened URL and opens itself instead of the browser.
How is this done (i've seen this at another app). Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!
It is a new feature in iOS9. It is explained in the WWDC15 talk Seamless linking to your App.
You could also add a small piece of javascript to each page that opens your custom URL-scheme.
I'm using PhoneGap with AngularJS framework.
I want to display a web page. I tried to use iframe but scroll isn't working.
I want to keep this page inside my app and not as a in app browser or external browser.
My app is running on iOS, Android and WP8 both.
Some help please :)
Thanks in advance
function loadWebView(pid)
{
var url = "http://dummysite.com/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/"+pid;
$("#div_load_page").html('<object data='+url+' class="webview"/>');
};
This is simple jQuery I've applied in my phonegap application which gives me the desired result. Scroll bars are visible and depend on site's responsiveness and size.
See Result.
My app uses a custom URL scheme so i send a link to my users in an email which when clicked, launches my app installed on their devices. This was working seamlessly till iOS 6 came into picture.
Now when the users click on the link or even type the address manually in the safari they get an error saying "Safari cannot open the page because it is a local file."
Wondering if anyone else encountered the same or if someone has any pointers in this regard !!
Any help much appreciated...
Update: it works if I only give my app's custom url without any parameters.. e.g. if I do "reader-app://" it launches my app but if i do "reader-app://doc=xyz" it doesn't !
try: reader-app://?doc=xyz (add a question mark after //) this way you'll specify a query string. It works for me, but it presents an alertdialog asking the user if she wants to open the url with my application
Try to remove the - sign from reader-app://.
My URL was not working until I removed underscore sings from URL.
Ex:
my_app:// is not working.
myapp:// is working.
That is just a guess.
I am using twitter_api_me-1.8.1 to integrate twitter in my blackberry application. Everything goes fine but the login page content is not displayed properly. (Displays squares and dots on the page. 9700). Any one faced this problem and has the solution, please help me.
Only black squares appearing.
Also on 9800 it is showing in english. After successfully login it's giving some pin number and asking to enter this pin number somewhere to complete your authorisation process. But not getting where to enter the same.
I have downloaded sample project from http://kenai.com/projects/twitterapime/downloads/directory/Miscellaneous
And jar files from here:

Please help.
Thanks in advance.
If the login page content is not displayed properly. In BlackBerry
Then plz follow this link.
Please, use BrowserFieldOAuthDialogWrapper in place of BrowserContentManagerOAuthDialogWrapper class. It works fine for me.
