I am having issues performing a vertical scroll on the BlackBerry Storm while in a TreeField.
The tree nodes expand just fine, even with expanded nodes while in the tree I cannot scroll to the bottom of the expanded list. Sometimes it will scroll a little but then not allow me to scroll back up.
Could this be an issue with the screen not being a fixed size?
The TreeField is in a VeriticalFieldManager with the VERTICAL_SCROLL and VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR styles.
The screen I am using is MainScreen.

I have an ag-grid-react set up with a series of components in place for cell rendering. When my dataset loads the vertical scroll works well but the horizontal scroll isn't obvious unless using a trackpad or horizontal scroll enabled mouse.
I would like to be able to add a scroll bar to the top of the grid as well as the automatically generated one at the bottom?
Has anyone encountered this, come up with as solution?

I'm trying to create a complex view using SwiftUI.
I'm trying to do a profile view with two scroll views on top of each other. I created wireframes, so it's easier to understand.
Here you can see the red and blue rectangle. They are both scroll views. I'm trying to achieve that the blue rectangle must only be scrollable from its content (blue section) but must be able to cover the whole screen when we scroll on it. See the next two states:
I tried adding some content inset using the library SwiftUIX, but can't seem to find a way to disable the scrolling mechanism on that content inset. So the red section of the wireframes must still be scrollable when scrolling on that area.
I tried only using drag gestures with offset, but the feeling was not as smooth as a scrolling view, and I could not mimic that feeling.
The default Apple implementation for a bottom sheet is not ideal because it works in steps, whereas I need it to be as smooth and controllable as a standard scroll view.
If any of you had any leads or ideas, it would be life-saving. I have spent hours on this and have been able to find a suitable solution.
I'm trying to create the effect seen in some iOS apps where swiping the screen scrolls the ScollView/TextView normally, but sliding on the far right (where the scroll indicator is) creates a quick scrolling effect that allows the user to scroll through the position in the overall length of the view. For example, sliding on the far right from the middle of the screen to the bottom would take the TextView from the middle of its content to the very end.
Is there any pre-established way to do this, or is this an effect I would have to create from scratch?

I have a horizontal scroll view with paging enabled, and the children of this scroll view are vertical scroll views. It's like the iOS home screen, but imagine scrolling vertically on each home screen.
Now, when the vertical scroll is in progress, it's hard to swipe to the next or previous screen, because the vertical scroll view apparently captures the events. Even if the angle of the swipe is almost horizontal, it doesn't go to the next or previous "page". Only after the scroll stops fully can one easily swipe to the next or previous pages.
Unfortunately, because of the slow deceleration, the user might think the content stopped moving when it is in fact moving very slowly and just about to stop. But the horizontal swipe is interpreted as a vertical scroll gesture, and the scroll velocity increases, making things worse from the user's perspective.
I've noticed multiple people struggling with this when they test out our app, and I wonder if anyone here knows a solution, perhaps a way to consider the angle of the swipe to determine which scroll view should process the event. Thanks.
I would suggest stopping the vertical scroll on a touch begins event. This is how most apps I've seen do something like this.

Things that extends net.rim.device.api.ui.Manager (like a VerticalFieldManager) can have style bits set in the constructor that specify which type(s) of scrolling you want and whether or not the scrollbars (arrows) should be displayed. Put your Field into a manager that has scrolling enabled and set the manager for the screen You need to set the manager containing the component/field that is too large for the screen to have scrolling enabled AND scrollbars drawn to see scroll arrows.
The style bits you want to set are: Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL | Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR
If your UI is built on top of the blackberry classes MainScreen or FullScreen, you can use the constructor taking an argument of type long to set the style bits: MainScreen(long style) could be called as MainScreen(Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL | Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR); to set the style bits for the screen to include scrolling and vertical scroll indicator arrows.
There is an occasional issue that FieldManagers that are fixed size will sometimes not show scroll arrows (but they'll still scroll). See Blackberry VerticalFieldManager with fixed size : Scroll issue if you are concerned about that issue.
If by scrollbars you mean the small blue arrows, then you can get these to display using the method Jessica described above (set style bits VERTICAL_SCROLL and VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR). However, if by scrollbars you are referring to actual bars that indicate the scrolled position (as seen in the Browser app) then you would need to draw these on the manager yourself, as the BlackBerry API doesn't provide you with any way to display them automatically.
To do something like that you'd need to subclass VerticalFieldManager and override the paint method. Use a combination of the screen height (Display.getHeight()), the manager height (getVirtualHeight()) and the scroll position (getVerticalScroll()) to calculate the Y position and height of the bar, and then draw it on the screen using g.drawRect() or something similar.
