I wanted to do a application which will read bookmarks & SMS
Is there a way to read SMS from Inbox/Outbox/Sent folders for blackberry devices? I have read many forum post replying that it is not possible to read SMS, still i wanted to know any possibilities through which i can achieve?
Is there is any way to read saved bookmarks using blackberry APIs?
any solution regarding this will be very helpful.

I have a bot that leverages all the cool tech that comes with botframework, e.g. LUIS, QnA maker, adaptivecards, etc. The bot works well and I can use WebChat to connect to and ask questions and get responses. However, I now need native iOS (and eventually Android) app that can perform much like webchat does but I do not want to embed webchat in a web control in native app. I plan to have voice always on leveraging something like snowboy or picovoice for hotword to wake app and send commands to bot - users would ask things like "hey bot what is weather in Boston" and get presented with result message or adaptivecard.
Is voice steaming to directline API from Swift on iOS possible (I know most things are possible so any pointers would be greatly appreciated)? Or am I approaching from wrong angle and perhaps there is better/easier way to achieve my goal?
In my apps, I want to access to user's SMS messages from the system database. Is it possible to read user's messages inside my apps?
No. Apple doesn't allow apps to access messages. Sorry.
However, if you are developing an application for jailbroken phones, all the messages are stored in an sqlite file. You can find more information about that here.
It not possible.
This topic may useful: Could an iOS application read/access SMS text?
I am developing a blackberry application, in that I have to fetch Skype chat logs. I have googled a lot on this topic, but didn't find any related info. Could any one tell me how to fetch Skype logs(Chat history) via code.
Thanks.
I do not believe this is possible as this would be a third party application asking for information from another third party application. Each application is sand boxed and therefore unable to retrieve information outside of their verticals unless it is released, example like using the shared folder.
Hope that helps!

I'm planning to do an BB app. But I don't know if it is possible. I ask for your recommendation.
It will consist of two apps.
The first: the user will download it. He will be subscribed to the app, sharing his mobile number, PIN, and mail (could this be done automatically? This is, without the user typing that info and sending it)
The second: the admin will send messages of different nature (sms, mail and/or pin) to the subscribers of the first app.
Summarizing: I would like to send messages (of different kind) to many users. I looked, and, at least, in the BB API is possible to send mails to multiple users. But, how to do it with sms and pin.
Also, how would be the code logic that subscribe the users? Could be done automatically? If not, do I need a dedicated server to store the info of the users? etc.
If you have a more elegant way to achieve what I'm posting, please, let me know.
It sounds like one of your requirements is to originate the messages from a BlackBerry. This may be inefficient and costly.
The best solution to send data to multiple BlackBerry users is the Push Service which you can read about here: http://us.blackberry.com/developers/platform/pushapi.jsp
I am investigating the possibilities of making an app that can handle iWork's apps documents (Pages, Numbers, Keynote). I have made the app and have registered the Document types, but this only gets me as far as supporting Open In from other apps that implements the UIDocumentInteractionController.
As far as I have been able to gather - The only possibility available currently is to implement a WebDAV service, and using it to sync the documents.
Filesharing from pages
Another possibility is to transfer using iTunes
Sharing using iTunes
My conclusion: no direct transfer.
None of these options appeal to me, but the most reasonable is to implement a WebDAV service, like DropBox.
So, my question is - Does anyone have experience with enabling document transfers, in a direct manner - If so, how. If not, am I correct in saying that the WebDAV path is feasible?
Thanks.
Direct app-to-app transfer will not work if the other app(s) do not cooperate with you. You would have to get Apple to offer an "Open In…" command in their iWork apps that uses UIDocumentInteractionController to make it work.
