Unhandled exception at 0x10012c5d (highgui110.dll) - opencv

I had OpenCV lib installed on my machine and all was working fine, until I decided to try the new version of the lib 1.1pre. Since that moment I get the following error:
Unhandled exception at 0x10012c5d (highgui110.dll) in foo.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x719b3856.
I've tryied to uninstall and reinstall the lib....same thing happen.
What can I do? How can I fix this problem?
I'm using VS 2005 Express Edition on a Windows Vista OS.

Two solutions:
Revert back to the OpenCV lib that worked for you and wait for a non-pre release. Pre-releases are often a bit unstable.
Get the sourcecode of OpenCV from the sourceforge page. Compile the DLL in debug mode.
If the crash happends again you'll be able to see the source where it happend. That may or may not give you a hint what went wrong. Maybe you accidently passed a wrong parameter or it's a bug in OpenCV.
If it's something simple, fix it yourself and submit a patch. Otherwise I suggest that you file a bug-report at the OpenCV project page.
Btw: The bug-tracker is here: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=376677&group_id=22870&func=browse

VS2019+WDK10, missing Spectre-mitigated MSVC library for 16.11, why?

Some weird stuff here. I'm trying to build a KMDF sample driver with VS2019 16.11.5 and WDK 10.0.19041.685 (also called version 2004 Dec 2020 update).
First, I got compilation error saying that I need to download Spectre-mitigated MSVC library.
Well, I try it, but got a new problem. The VS2019(16.11.5) installer does not show MSVC Spectre-mitigated MSVC library version for exact 16.11. Looks like the latest one it provides is 16.10 (🙁).
Download the 16.10 one and resume trying, still compilation error.
I peek into my D:\VSIDE\VS2019\VC\Tools\MSVC folder, and see two versions of MSVC libs listed, 14.29.30133 and 14.29.30037 . The later is the one with spectre libs(so it's 600MB+ larger).
However, the KMDF build tool insists to find MSVC libs in the newer 14.29.30133 folder, so Spectre-mitigated libs still CANNOT be found.
I know I can manually copy the required files from 14.29.30037 to 14.29.30133 to make things go on. BUT is it the decent way to do so, or is it a Microsoft toolset bug?
I'd like to ask how other kernel driver developers solve this issue. Thank you.
Well, several days later, I find out two workarounds for this issue.
First, as Hans Passant stated, disable the Spectre lib in .vcxproj. This can be configured from UI.
Second, explicitly select a MSVC library version for current project. This can also be configured in project settings UI.
==== 2022.02.11 UPDATE ====
Finally got it,the Spectre-lib with version number 14.29.30133 is called "(Latest)", so it is listed above the oldest version, and this defeats the novice. Use this and problem solved.
Sure, it is stupid enough to mark it as merely "(Lastest)". He should have named it MSVC v142 - VS2019 C++ x64/x86 Spectre-mitigated libs (v14.29-16.11)(Latest)" .

Uno Platform - xamarin No Virtual method getTargetState()

I recently updated Visual Studio 2019 to 16.9. When it updated- there was a message indicating that the Android SDK was updated. When I go to run the IOS version of my Uno Project- it runs fine. However- when I go to run it on the Android version- I have had a few issues. At first it would not compile- but after doing some web searches I found I needed to reenable AAPT. I am now able to compile it- but I get an exception when I run the app on my android device. It says no virtual method getTargetState()- and then lists the library as the picture shows. I checked Nuget for any package updates and applied them- but still have the same error. It is showing a method missing- that presumably was there earlier. I am not sure how to resolve this- so any help would be appreciated.
I started thinking about what Leo Zhu said above and it made me think- there was no update to the package mentioned. Maybe there was a breaking change in the package that was installed? So- I downgraded it to 2.2.0.3- and it is working again. One point to make is I was using the latest alpha release- so a breaking change is not surprising. I hope this helps someone else that encounters this issue or a similar issue.

Delphi XE8 update 1 - random file not found

When I compile a project in XE8 (with update 1), I get frequently a error that a file is missing, although the file is just available. And when I compile again, it is another file that is missing. It seems random. After a few compiles (sometimes more or less) I have build the project. And even at Run (F9) I sometimes get the error that a file is missing.
Like #Andrei Galatyn said at the end of his post, it will be solved when you delete your Android configuration in SDK versions. But I want to be able to develop with Android. What is the real problem?
I couldn't find a solution on the internet yet.
Is there a solution for this problem? Thanks in advance!
I have similar problem with Delphi XE8/XE7 at least at 3 different PCs (home PC, notebook, VMW-based virtual machine in office). All PCs are fast, all are SSD-based. Usually i get the error message when trying to build large project, for small projects errors are very rare (but happens time to time anyway). So i am quite sure that it is problem with Delphi. What i tried:
added src/dcu paths as exception to antivirus
disabled indexing of files in Windows (Windows 7 x64/Windows 8.1 x64)
deleted all SDKs for mobile development in IDE (this step was most usefull in my case).
It doesn't solve the problem for 100%, but now i see that random message only few times per week. I will be glad to see real solution.
Just for information - many errors like "file YYY\XXX.pas not found" where with wrong path to the file, it was path somewhere inside of Android SDK. After deleting of all SDKs (fortunately i need only with Win x32/x64 platforms) i never see such errors anymore.
Some time ago i sent it to my colleagues:
Many times i got an sporadic error in Delphi IDE like this:
F2039 Could not create output file '.\dcu\FireDAC.Comp.DataSet.dcu'
When I just tried to compile again, the problem disappeared but compilation may fail on another file. It was especially annoying when I need to rebuild an large project, for example <...>. Finally I discovered that under some conditions Delphi is trying to access files at wrong path:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\RAD Studio\12.0\PlatformSDKs\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20130522\sdk\tools\dcu\FireDAC.Comp.DataSet.dcu
Instead of
C:\M2014\Fellesressurser\felles\FireDAC.Comp.DataSet.dcu
All the time when I get the error it was try to access Android SDK folder instead of my application folder.
If you experienced same problem, you can solve it now, just delete Android SDK from Delphi IDE:
Open “Tools\Options\Environment Options\SDK Manager”
Select installed SDK (list “SDK versions”)
Delete it (button “Delete”)

Can OpenCV libraries be called from a C++/CX app?

Is it technically possible (I don't think this would be restricted), and how do you go about it?
I got my little test app building fine, but when I run it I get a failure dialog.
The debug output is slightly more informative:
The thread 0xe4c has exited with code -1073741515 (0xc0000135).
The program '[3400] OpenCVTest2.exe' has exited with code -1073741515 (0xc0000135) 'A dependent dll was not found'.
Then I created a Win8 Desktop app, which also built fine but failed to run.
MSVP100D.dll is part of the VC++ 2010 Redistributable which is not compatible with Win8. (Being a hacker I tried it anyway, the installer runs to completion - but the bits aren't installed.)
Is there a compiler flag I can try? Possibly a custom build of OpenCV would fix it, but that would be a last resort, and it might only fix the desktop app.
This guy shows an example of using OpenCV library for performing face detection in a Windows 8 Store app written using C++/CX:
http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/TechEd/NorthAmerica/2012/DEV322
Also, at the below post he also describes how the C++ Runtime works for Windows 8Store apps:

MSVP100D is not a part of VC10 redist. Note the "D" at the end of its name. That package only includes release builds. Your release builds should work fine. But mixing libraries from different VC versions might get you in trouble. See this. Your best chance is to build from source with VC11.

OpenCV 2.4.2 library files using CMake and MinGW - Target IDE CodeBlocks

I have been having this issue with OpenCV 2.4.2 that it doesn't really get installed properly with Microsoft VS 2010 Express; It is always missing a dll file or two doesn't matter what I follow by Googling. Also, Visual Studio 2010 Express is only valid for a few days, so it is acceptable that VS will not behave well with OpenCV at that point. However, when I changed my IDE to CodeBlocks, it is even stranger because now I have missing dll files and also "Missing Entry Point" error because of a duplicate .dll file. I found this guide and followed what it told me to do:
http://conanhung.wordpress.com/2012/05/23/opencv-2-2c-codeblocks-and-mingw-got-it-working-on-windows/
But it still doesn't work!! What I am after is a complete and definitive solution to integrating OpenCV (preferrably 2.4.2 version) on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. I have been turning Stackoverflow inside out but no solution is working for me. The problems are
WHEN USING VISUAL STUDIO:
Missing dll file (e.g. libopencv_core242d.dll, etc.)
WHEN USING CODE BLOCKS:
First it complains that libstdc++-6.dll is missing. When I download it to my C:\MinGW\libexec\gcc\mingw32\4.7.0 folder, it stops complaining about this. But now it complains that there is any entry point problem and some other .dll file is missing!!!
If someone has managed to make it work by hook or crook, I will be more than happy to know what it is, IN DEPTH. I don't believe that such an important library can be so stupidly distributed so that developers have to struggle night and day to make this work.
FYI, I have tried even the OPenCV website and frankly their instructions are a bit useless. Also, all the necessary information e.g. adding PATH, adding includes and libraries, etc. Please someone point me to the right direction as it has been two days and I cannot get anywhere. It is literally stopping my job now :(
As an answer, but probably a very simple one, I did the following and got rid of the problem:
1) Uninstalled code::blocks completely from the PC and downloaded the IDE-only version (i.e. withouth MinGW compiler), then installed it.
2) Downloaded the latest stable version of MinGW, installed, and added C:\MinGW\bin to PATH
3) Followed rest of the instructions from [link] http://conanhung.wordpress.com/2012/05/23/opencv-2-2c-codeblocks-and-mingw-got-it-working-on-windows/
4) Just to be sure, copied the opencv .dll files from the build folder (i.e. the one that you have created "make" and "install" files using CMake) to the debug (i.e. the executables') folder.
This will fix the problems. In case, it doesn't it might be that you need to add some environment variables.
