while compiling in Fujitsu COBOL 3.0 i m getting a error saying c://cobol/sample2.cbl file does not exist or having an invalid file name or file is used by another program. but the file is present in the exact location and is not used by any other prog. can any1 tell what could be the problem
You must first close your editor before attempting to compile your source. This reference will give you an overview.

Also be sure that you don't have Fujitsu COBOL 3.0 installed in a path with LFNs.

Im trying to compile/build my project but i receive this error below:
[dcc32 Fatal Error] F2438 UCS-4 text encoding not supported. Convert to UCS-2 or UTF-8
The IDE do not show me what file/line i need to convert. I even dont know if is this i need to do really.
As i see, i need to convert the file for utf-8 correct?
This project as originally made with delphi 2010, now im trying to convert for XE6.
How i resolve this error?
Im using Delphi XE6, win 7 64 bit ultimate.
Open a source file, right-click on the Code Editor, and select "File Format | UTF8". Do that for all of your source files.
Or, narrow down the specific offending file. Try using SysInternals Process Monitor to see which file is being accessed at the time of the failure.
I had the same error(F2438) in a Delphi\XE5 project which had many .pas files. Error showed up when I had rebuilt all files in the project after deleting DCU's. I was able to uncover the one ".pas" file that somehow got saved as UTF-32LE format. The tool I found to locate the problem file was "File Encoding checker" which located the problem file in my project folder. URL for the tool is https://encodingchecker.codeplex.com/. I then had to convert back the problem "pas" file to be saved as UTF8\ascii text and on compiling the F2438 error was cleared up.
I am starting out getting more hands-on with FPGAs and have chosen Xilinx.
In a small trial project I have the problem that XST complains about the library proc_common_v_3 is not found. The ise prj file contains paths looking like "../../.." and so on and it gets recreated when trying to change the paths.
When looking in the project list and not the file, the library is referenced using "........", which is different.
Is there another way to make sure ISE handles libraries correct?
ISE Version 14.7
Error message when doing XST->Check Syntax
Xst:2927 - .... line 1: Source file ../../../../../../../../../../../../../Xilinx/14.7/ISE_DS/EDK/hw/XilinxProcessorIPLib/pcores/proc_common_v3_00_a/hdl/vhdl/proc_common_pkg.vhd does not exist
NB: Yes I know there is a thread on this issue, but my comment gets deleted. The answer there is using what seems to be known working paths, but as starting out that is not possible. Better to go for Altera perhaps.
Thanks in advance.

I have a map file created by delphi compiler and I need to use it to analyze DMP file.
I converted the map file to dbg file, using Map2dbg.
The problem is that the process has a different signeture then the symbols.
I tried to use chkmatch to match the signeture, but I'm getting:
Error: Debug information not found in the executable
I guess this is because it is a delphi process.
Does anyone know how to match the signatures?
I made a minidumpreader some time ago:
https://asmprofiler.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/MiniDumpReader/ViewMinidump.exe (old link)
https://github.com/andremussche/asmprofiler/tree/master/Releases/ViewMinidump.exe (new link)
It is written in Delphi with jclDebug.pas so it supports all delphi debug symbols.
And because of this it has line number support (which map2dbg or tds2pdb don't have).
Note: I haven't made map2dbg or tds2pdb myself, just hosting it so other can easily find it
Okey, this is not a core programming question; it is more of a question regarding cgns (CFD general notational system) API.
I've exported a grid/mesh file from ANSYS Fluent (which was first created in Gambit 2.46), and I wrote a very simple Fortran program to open and close it (doing nothing else). To check the file is not corrupt I plotted it in Tecplot.
So, when I compiled using gfortran with the mentioned cgns and ran the program I got this error (as part of cg_error_exit_f())
ADF_Database_Open:File does not exist or is not a HDF5 file
Here is the program
program cavity
include "/usr/include/cgnslib_f.h"
call cg_open_f("Cavity.cgns",CG_MODE_READ,index_file,ier)
!check for error if so exit
if (ier .ne. CG_OK) then
call cg_error_exit_f()
end if
write(*,*)"I kind of opened the file?"
call cg_close_f(index_file,ier)
stop
end program cavity
I'm able to write both structured and unstructured grids in cgns format, without any problem.
I suspect the cgns library I'm using(version 2.5.5 packaged in Fedora 15 and Scientific linux 6.1) is built to support only HDF5, while the exported grid file is written in ADF format.
Any ideas to circumvent this or perhaps adding ADF? Which by the way is not packaged in both the distributions. Any other grid generator which is compatible with cgns version 2.5.5?
I hope I was clear. Any further info required, I would provide.
There is so much that could've gone wrong in here, and I'm afraid you didn't exactly narrow the problem down.
You said you exported a file from Fluent (what kind of a file is it? Be sure!). cg_error_exit_f() gave you an error listed. I'm assuming you have the source of the mentioned routines? In the program you include a cgnslib_f.h file - what's in it? I'm assumming the program compiled without errors of any kind, making this a file format question, not a fortran question.
Again, verify what kind of file Fluent produced.
When I ran into this situation, I discovered the following tools:
hdf2adf
adf2hdf
They are in the cgns-convert package on Ubuntu and are probably available for your distribution as well.
After Downloading the source, tried to compile the code.
The first bump was missing Jedi components, so downloaded jcl-2.2.1.3817-partnerdvd
Next step was installing , which was fine.
Now After Compiling , the error message is :
[DCC Fatal Error] Utils.pas(4): F2051
Unit JclCompilerUtils was compiled
with a different version of
JclSysUtils.IJclCommandLineTool
tried to download diffrenct versions, however the owner of the code claim it was compiled with 2.2.
Ideas how to resolve this?
edit: i just removed some references to the jedi from the library path, i hope didn't do any damage. still no go.
EDIT 2: downloaded the 0.57 and not the default resulted in:
[DCC Fatal Error] Utils.pas(4): F1026
File not found: 'JclBorlandTools.dcu'
now it seems as a simple version problem with jcl, ill reinstall(again).
Most Delphi error and warning messages are pretty clear, but "Compiled with a different version" errors are one of the few exceptions. What it really means is:
Something in Unit JclSysUtils (or one of its dependencies) has changed, and Unit JclCompilerUtils, which has a dependency on JclSysUtils, needs to be recompiled now, but only the DCU for it is available. Unable to locate the PAS file to recompile it.
Try making sure that the original source code for all the JCL units is available to the compiler.
I have checked my settings. I have compiled latest revision of delphipi using JCL 2.2.1.3886.
My library path contains following paths:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Soft Gems\Virtual Treeview\Source
C:\Components\jcl-2.2.1.3886\lib\d14
C:\Components\jcl-2.2.1.3886\source\include
Delphipi depends three external libraries which are JCL, dxgettext and Virtual Treeview and links to these libraries are listed in the homepage of the project. I think you should check double check your JCL installation and library paths. Sorry, there is nothing else I can do about this. Good luck.
