i am just wondering what the best way is to print from power apps from a samsung tablet. i know the Print() call isn’t supported on Android & iOS devices but wondering if there is a different way.
maybe involving a third party app.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks In Advance!

This one's a doozy: I'm developing an Android app in Xamarin which will send messages to an EV3 brick running ROBOTC. Anyone think they could help me with this? I understand that NXT bricks can use sendMessage(); but I'm using an EV3, and can't find a way to use this. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. As for the type of info I wish to send, either strings or, if not, integers will do.
EDIT: Right, I forgot. The app will be for a Kindle Fire, and preferably held in landscape mode.
RobotC does not have Bluetooth support yet (they are working on it). Once they do get it working, you will need the "EV3 Communication Developer Kit" from the LEGO MINDSTORMS downloads page. This explains the communication protocol. In particular, look for the "mailbox" instructions. This is how messages are passed back and forth between applications.
I'm currently using the iOS simulator that comes with xcode but it has limitations. I'd like to have a virtualized version of the iPhone, as close as possible to the real thing in all aspects.
Does such software exist to do this? I search but nothing came up.
Thanks,
John
I think the given iPhone simulator of Xcode is the only one you can use for it..or maybe the best one.
The only chance for something better would be to submit for the apple developer program and use a real device for testing.
Im pretty sure iOS Simulator is the best simulator you could find, talking about the nearest experience to a real iOS device. If you are asking this because you are not Enrolled in the Apple Developer Program you can always use other alternatives to test in real devices (Jailbreak Tweaks and stuff like that). Or just Eroll the program.
Hope it Helps.
I just tried AUNetSend and AUNetReceive on two Macs using garageband. The delay was exceptionally low! I am very disappointed to find that AUNetSend is not available on iOS, however. I'm trying to stream audio from an iOS device to a receiver app on my Mac. Does anyone have any alternative suggestions as to go about doing this? Here's what I'm trying to do essentially. It must have very low latency, so GKVoiceChat won't work.
audio+midi can be routed from and to iPad, via USB to PC/MAC, thanks to iConnectMIDI+ devices
Is is possible to use RealBasic/Java/Ruby or any other languages to publish to the iPhone/iPad, or am I locked into Apple's tools only? It would be good to see examples of where this has been done.
Something like http://rhomobile.com for Ruby maybe? For Html/Javascript you have Nimblekit, PhoneGap, Titanium etc. There are a growing number of frameworks out there now that offer similar features and capabilities.
Some time ago Apple removed restriction on usage of foreign tools. However, anyway you will need a gate to translate your language calls into native Obejctive C function calls.
Check MonoTouch - seems to be a good option
I have been developing a BlackBerry application for about 7 months, and I have started to do a lot of testing.
Does anyone have any advice on the best way to test my application on different BlackBerry devices (without having to purchase them)? I have the BlackBerry Tour and the BlackBerry Storm, but I can only have my Verizon network on one at a time.
Is there a specific way that mobile developers go through this type of testing?
If you join the BlackBerry Alliance program, they have various Smartphone programs to get devices for development and testing.
try this deviceanywhere
they are providing remote access for variety of blackberry devices.
For the most part, the simulators that come with the JDE are true to the real thing.
You can try www.perfectomobile.com. They charge an hourly rate, but you can get 7 free hours.
