I am trying to run my app on a physical device. The applicaiton builds but it doesnt deploy my app to the device.
I get this following error:
This operation can fail if the version of the OS on the device is incompatible with the installed version of Xcode. You may also need to restart your mac and device in order to correctly detect compatibility.
Details:
I have xcode version 13.2.1
device is iphone 11 pro max with ios version 15.6 installed.
I tried to upgrade my xcode to 13.4.1 but on app store there is no button that indicates that i can upgrade.
Things I have tried:
restarting mac
restarting iphone device
closing and reopening xcode
cleaning project and rebuilding.
Any help will be appreciated.
Download xCode 13.4.1 directly using the link

I'm encountering a well know problem in the Xcode environment. But I don't know how to procede.
I update my MacBook Air m1 to Monterey 12.3.1 then this message appears every time I try to run my application on my iPhone X 15.4.1.
I have Xcode 13.2 but the problem began when i upgraded macOs
You need to update the software on your phone to the latest and the xcode to the latest versions
I've updated my iPhone to iOS 14.3 and it required me to update Xcode to 12.3 too. But Xcode now gives me the following error whenever trying to run/debug the app through the device.
Errors were encountered while preparing your device for development. Please check the Devices and Simulators Window.
I tried restarting Xcode, reconnecting the device, changing deployment target etc. with no luck.
if you updated you iOS to latest beta version, you should also use latest Xcode beta version.
Or else restart your device.
I recently made a project using XCode 4.5.1 on iOS 10.8.
I want to run this project on a different computer using XCode 4.4.1 on iOS 10.7.5.
It is currently giving me the error:
XCode cannot run using the selected device.
No provisioned iOS devices are available with a compatible iOS version. Connect an iOS device with a recent enough version of iOS to run your application or choose an iOS simulator as the destination.
Is there a way to open the project on the other computer without having to redo all the delegations and such?
I have tried turning off AutoLayout and running it on the iOS 10.7.5 computer and it is still giving the same error.
Thanks!
Change the deployment target to the ios version you want to run the project on.
I am trying to deploy my app on an iPod Touch (2nd generation) which has iOS 4.2.1.
Below are the development details:
XCode Version: 4.2.1 (4D502)
iOS SDK: 5.0: (9A334)
Deployment Target: 4.0
I installed the provision profile successfully using XCode. But, in the Devices tab in Organizer Window, it shows the following error:
Xcode cannot find the software image to install this version.
My device is listed in the top left corner of the project window. When I Run my app with my device selected, it shows 'Build Succeeded'. But the app isn't installed on my device!!!
I think there is some mismatch between Xcode version and iOS version on my device.
Please help me in this case as this is driving me nuts.
Don't fret. Xcode usually stores the Firmware files for your iDevice in a local folder for developer purposes(See if it is a device issue, etc). What it is saying is that the 4.2.1 Firmware is not in Xcode's folder. It is not an issue.
Well, I was all set and ok when running xcode 4.2 and iOS 5.0, but after I upgraded the iPhone to 5.1.1 (9B206) and Xcode to 4.3.3 (4E3002), it is not being able to run the apps I am developing on my iPhone. In the Organizer it says:
Software Version: 5.1.1 (9B206)
Xcode cannot find the software image to install this version
1) I checked the provisioning profiles, and they are ok, I reinstalled the whole certificates and provisioning profiles again, I got a green light next to my iPhone entry.
2) I checked for new updates, but the software are already updated
3) I saw the 5.1.1 sdk on the my hard drive under Xcode installation folder
/Users/myuser/Library/Developer/Xcode/5.1.1 (9B206)
I searched the web and found a post on Apple support website telling the message "Xcode cannot find the software image to install this version" is not an error message, but a notification, and that I could still continue to work on my device, but after I tried to run the app I am developing on my iPhone, Xcode says :
Xcode cannot run using the selected device.
No provisioned iOS devices are available with a compatible iOS version. Connect an iOS device with a recent enough version of iOS to run your application or choose an iOS simulator as the destination.
So up to now I don't know that to do anymore, and I need help.
In my mind what I see is iOS SDK 5.1.1 installed on the iPhone and Xcode with iOS SDK 5.1.1 installed on my macbook pro Lion 10.7.4, and I cannot understand what is missing, or what I have to do to solve this situation, and start to run my apps on my iPhone with 5.1.1 + xcode 4.3.3.
iPhone 4S - Version 5.1.1 (9B206)
Model MD234BZ
XCode 4.3.3 (4E3002)
Mac OS X Version 10.7.4
Thank you very much!

just remove your xcode image from your dock list. After that open the project now you set the Keep in dock. it will remain.. because you set older version in dock.
