I'm trying to retrieve the Git Build Data from jenkins pipeline and sent the details by mail
Is there any API or inbuilt variable available?
You can use GitLab APIs for this. Also, check Gitlab CLI as well.

I am using Jenkins with my Linux box. I have two bitbucket repositories. I am trying to create a Jenkins pipeline.
Repo_A - Jekinsfile resides here.
Repo_B - Project's source code resides here.
I want Jenkins to take configurations (Jenkinsfile) from Repo_A. Also, I want Jenkins to clone my source code to /some/random/directory. The credentials are stored in Jenkins, and can be used for both repos.
How can I use multiple repos in a single pipeline? Can somebody please tell me how to do this?
You need to use ssh authentication, it is suported by Genkins
Here is similar question: how to setup ssh keys for jenkins to publish via ssh
To add new repository
Hi have requirement to Continous deployment using Jenkins and below are the steps to achieve.

You could try using Ansible maybe https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/modules/copy_module.html
If it is Windows:
https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/modules/win_unzip_module.html
You have modules for every situation:
https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/modules/modules_by_category.html
You could do it with Jenkins, scripting the code, and probably storing the login in the Jenkins credentials.
We are struggling to find a way to use Contentful webbooks with Jenkins because we want to build a new page/content on contentful without manually deploying.
I didn't find useful/relevant information so far. Does anybody know if it's possible?
Thank you,
I suggest you combine the generic webhook plugin with a custom Contentful Webhook.
You first need to configure the generic webhook plugin in jenkins to trigger
the job you want.
Then you create a Contentful webhook pointing to your jenkins url
http://<YOUR JENKINS URL>/jenkins/generic-webhook-trigger/invoke
If you have multiple jobs in jenkins and you only want to trigger a specific one you can use tokens in your jenkins plugin config.
http://<YOUR JENKINS URL>/jenkins/generic-webhook-trigger/invoke?token=abc123
I just concluded my GitHub integration with Jenkins so that every time I commit code to my GitHub repository, Jenkins automatically builds.
Now I'm trying to integrate SonarCloud too but I haven't been successful.
I'm not looking to integrate with a local SonarQube server, I really need SonarCloud for my team to check it every time Jenkins builds.
I'm not sure if I should analyse the project locally to achieve this or if I can analyse my Jenkins server or GitHub repository and get the result I want because I can't find any documentation.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thank you!
Sonarcloud is just a sonarqube server.
Just use sonar-scanner(the documentation for jenkins can be found here).
At first, you need to install the jenkins plugin for sonar-scanner.
After that, you open the configuration of sonar-scanner using Manage Jenkins > Configure System.
Insert https://sonarcloud.io under Server URL and your sonar token(of sonarclound) under Server authentication token
Under Manage Jenkins > Configure System, you should check Enable injection of SonarQube server configuration as build environment variables and in Build Environment in your job, you should enable Prepare SonarScanner environment.
After you've done that, you can run sonar-scanner with $SONAR_MAVEN_GOAL (if you are using maven), ./gradlew sonarqube (if you are using gradle) or sonar-scanner (if you use none of that).
Is there a way to add global tool configurations for artifactory and aws in jenkins through cli?
I'm trying to write chef cookbook for automating creation of Jenkins job, but I don't know how to add credentials for tools.
Credentials don't depend on the tools which will use them.
You can register credentials in general through the JENKINS Credentials Plugin API: see for instance
How to create jenkins credentials via the REST API? (similar to jenkins_api_client issue 162)
update Jenkins credentials by script
You can then use those credentials in association with a Jenkins Job.
Your question is twofold.
Credentials
The Jenkins chef cookbook offers a jenkins_credentials resource, which allows you to pipe credentials (using Jenkins API internally) into your Jenkins instance.
Global Tool Configuration
You can use the jenkins_script resource of the same cookbook to execute any Groovy script. This allows you to configure your Jenkins instance. You now just have to figure out exactly, what the code is to, e.g., select the previously defined credentials. But the code looks similarly to the example given in the cookbook's README.
