I know I should ask this one in ROS Forums but I couldn't due to some reasons (Sorry for that). So the thing is, I built standalone RTAB package from source in my Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic) with ROS Melodic installed. I am trying to launch the node for rtab mapping by writing this in my sourced catkin workspace:
~/catkin_ws$ roslaunch rtabmap_ros-master/launch rtabmap.launch rtabmap_args:="--delete_db_on_start" rtabmapviz:=false rviz:=true
But when i do this it raises RLE Exception Error even though the path given to rtabmap.launch file is correct and file is at the location. Error is something like that:
RLException: [rtabmap.launch] is neither a launch file in package [rtabmap_ros-master] nor is [rtabmap_ros-master] a launch file name
I don't know why its giving this same error and i am stuck here. Please Help!!!
As the error suggests it can not find a launch file for that package. This is usually caused by one of two things. The first is you need to make sure you're sourcing the correct setup file; here it would be source ~/catkin_ws/setup.bash
The second thing is that you need to make sure you're actually installing the launch files so that they can be used when built. Here that would mean your CMakeLists.txt has something like this:
install(DIRECTORY launch/
DESTINATION ${CATKIN_PACKAGE_SHARE_DESTINATION}/launch
PATTERN ".svn" EXCLUDE)

I have looked at many other posts related to this issue and have tried each solution. None have worked in my case, including copying over the makevars from Rcpp. Anyhow, when building on Travis I get the following error
undefined symbol: dpotrf_’
The interesting note is that the package installs fine on windows, macOS, and linux.
here is my repo R package
I can reproduce the failure on a very standard Debian testing system (which I use for the extensive reverse dependency checks on Rcpp and RcppArmadillo).
After installing packages bain and BFpack (I had the rest) I attempted to build the tar.gz from your pristine just-checked-out sources. And I get:
*** installing help indices
*** copying figures
** building package indices
** testing if installed package can be loaded from temporary location
Error: package or namespace load failed for ‘BGGM’ in dyn.load(file, DLLpath = DLLpath, ...):

This appears to be a moderately complex and large enough package so please pardon me for not diving in and debugging. I would suggest you simplify with smaller mock packages to see what may be wrong. (dpotrf is a fairly standard LAPACK routine so something somewhere calls it. Maybe you call it explicitly. Maybe you did a Fortran-to-C mapping wrong. Maybe you have something wrong in how you interface with RcppArmadillo. Hard to tell...)
Edit: You committed compiled code and a Windows library. "Don't do that." When Travis builds it also starts from a git checkout as I did. That may be the difference.
Edit 2: It wasn't, but your R code mixes .Call() with generated entry points (ie via RcppExports.cpp and RcppExports.R). I have seen that blow up for other people. That may be something to look into.
Disclaimer: I work with D_Williams, but I figured out the problem, and others may find it useful.
A functioning configure.ac was present, and a Makevars.in is present.
The problem is that the configure file was not yet generated. This is an autotools/autoconf setup. To resolve it, I ran autoconf in the package directory, which generated the configure file. That configure file is then executed when R builds the package. The configure file modifies the Makevars.in and creates Makevars. That Makevars file ultimately defines where to find libraries, includes, compilers, compiler options, etc.
If you do not generate the configure file from configure.ac using autoconf, then there is no configure file to be executed, and no Makevars to define the needed options at compile time. Therefore, the compiler is not fully configured, and it will fail.
TLDR: If you have an configure.ac, you must run autoconf on it, and commit that configure file to your repo. R needs to execute it to have a functioning Makevars.
I downloaded Docker for Mac since it was a prerequisite for Hyperledger Fabric (also listed here).
Now, I downloaded platform specific binaries listed here.
The instructions said:
If you are using Docker for Mac, you will need
to use a location under /Users, /Volumes, /private, or /tmp. To use a
different location, please consult the Docker documentation for file
sharing.
So,I used the following directory: /Users/user_name/Documents/Hyperledger\ Fabric/
I followed the same commands as listed on the site.
However, I was not able to add the line below to the ~/.bash_profile.
export PATH=/Users/user_name/Documents/Hyperledger\ Fabric/bin:$PATH
If I added the above line and ran the bash_profile, it gave an error and after that commands like ls, open were giving error not found.
It seems that there is a problem with the file location since I
installed Docker for Mac instead of Docker toolbox.
The problem is that your directory name contains a space. One way to avoid this problem is to specify a directory name that has no spaces. This would be the ideal approach since once you introduce a space in the PATH variable it would need to be quoted where used subsequently.
Alternately, you could set the path as:
export PATH="/Users/user_name/Documents/Hyperledger Fabric/bin":$PATH
However, as noted this has drawbacks.
I'm trying to make an Teamspeak image running on Alpine linux but am honest not sure why docker says
./ts3server: not found
This is the Github page with the Dockerfile code:
https://github.com/signofkoen/docker-teamspeak/blob/snapshot/Dockerfile
Container log:
/opt/teamspeak3-server_linux_amd64/ts3server_minimal_runscript.sh: line 8: ./ts3server: not found
Anyone know's what am doing wrong? I think a did something wrong with the extracting part but am not sure.
The ts3server binary in your image looks like it was built against glibc, but it is unable to find the appropriate runtime loader on the filesystem.
You can see this by running ldd /opt/teamspeak/ts3server, which reports:
Error loading shared library ld-linux-x86-64.so.2:
No such file or directory (needed by ts3server)
This is the direct cause of your error.
I see that you're starting with the skardoska/alpine-glibc image, which sounds like maybe it was designed to provide a standard glibc environment to Alpine linux, but the image does not appear to have been constructed in a way that is compatible with your binaries. Looking at the description at https://hub.docker.com/r/skardoska/alpine-glibc/, it appears this may be a known problem, because the description says, "Waiting for https://github.com/andyshinn/alpine-pkg-glibc/issues/1".
You may be better off just starting with a glibc based distribution like Fedora or Ubuntu.
I am trying to install a windows service with installutil in cmd and this is the msg I get:
Exception occurred while initializing the installation:
System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'file:///D:\inst
all\DemoWinProject.exe' or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an
assembly manifest..
Can you help me out whats the prb ???
I have not seen that problem directly, but a very brief search found this link that may have the answer you seek. In a nutshell, make sure you're using the right version of InstallUtil.exe for the .NET framework targeted by your application and that you do not have any x86/x64 inconsistencies within your assemblies.
FWIW, I personally do not like using InstallUtil.exe to install my Windows service; I prefer the Windows service perform its own installation/uninstallation. This is a fairly straightforward thing to do, as I've shown here.
HTH.
I fixed this problem by writing the path where my InstallUtil.exe is and then Write the command InstallUtil and then write the path where my exe file that needs to be install is.
Note : Make another copy of debug folder in another place and install the exe file from that path. This is because anytime you make a built the exe file changes. So to prevent the changes of the installed .exe make a copy of it in another place and install it.
ex.
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727>installutil c:\Documents\Debug\WindowsService.exe
I am developing a BlackBerry Application with a number of class files in it; 16 java classes at the moment and they keep increasing as this App is complex with a lot of screen and features. I am working in Eclipse with the BlackBerry Java Plug-in. I am using BlackBerry JRE 6.0. I have recently started getting the following error:
Error: Cannot run program "jar": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified
I have Google for this error and many suggest this is caused by Java Environmental Variable path. However, I have checked and everything seems to be fine at my end regarding that. I have noticed that when the number of classes is increased or a class becomes more lengthy, this error occurs. I get rid of the error by reducing the number of classes in a project. I created separated projects dividing the classes between each and it compiled fine. So I can believe that there is no issue with the source code.
Can anyone guide how to overcome this error in a single project that contains several classes. Please help.
EDIT: I came across the following on BlackBerry Support Forums:
"I think the most common reason for this (assuming that you have the JDK installed) is a large number of files in the project, and/or a project directory that is very far from the root.
The issue is that the RAPC compiler calls the JAR utility, building a command line that consists of all the class files in the application. If the command line length exceeds the maximum length allowed by the system, you will get this error."
How to work around this IF this is whats causing it.
I was lucky to resolve this error. This link has been very helpful from BlackBerry Support Forums. For anyone else facing the same issue, the following steps resolved my issue:
Right Click My Computer. Go To Properties.
Click Advanced System Settings.
Click Environment Variable
Highlight PATH and click Edit. Add C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_26\bin; to the start of the PATH.
Step 4 adds the java jar file to the PATH variable and adds it closer to the root. Adding closer to the root is helpful when compiling a project with several classes.
As the error says Cannot run program "jar" under Windows that means it cannot find the jar.exe executable file.
The problem, at least in my case, was that JAVA_HOME was pointing to the JRE on my computer (where there is no jar.exe in its "bin" folder) and not to the JDK where the jar.exe resides under its "bin" folder.
The solution was very simple - changed JAVA_HOME to point to the JDK root folder - in my case that was "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_15".
