My pivot table from google sheets is acting all strange. The filters are not working and the data are not working. Even if I remove all the fields from the pivot table editor the table is not being affected at all. Please view the screenshot below. The pivot table has become like static with no care of the pivot table editor
I would suggest to test under an incognito window in case any add on is affecting the Sheets, as I have similar issues with functions in the past due to that, or make a copy of it if you have not change anything of the pivot tables configuration.
If those do not work and you might think it is a bug with the way the pivot tables are working you can report it here:
https://support.google.com/docs/community
Or use the option to send feedback from the Google Sheet in the tab for "Help".

I have a simple Google sheet that has 9 fields as shown below
Google sheet data source
When I connect this file as a data source using Google Sheets connector, I get ONLY 7 fields instead of 9 as shown below:
Data Source Editor
There are two missing files that cannot be recognized by GDS which are scenario and feedback fields respectively.
In order to solve this issue, I tried the following:
disconnect and reconnect the data source file again. But it did not work.
Also, I tried to use refresh fields but in vain too.
I tried also.
I could not find any reason for that behavior. please help if you can.
Here is a link to a sample Google Sheet file.

Are these missing columns in your original google sheets file also empty? If yes, this is the reason why GDS is not recognizing those table. If you add some value in at least one row of these columns and reconnect the data source, they will show up.
If you intend to keep those columns empty for whatever reason, you can make a row with 'test' as values and filter those out in the report after connecting the data source.
I'm using the following formula to pull in data from the Purchases sheet tab on Google Sheets within our spreadsheet.
=SUMIFS(PURCHASES!$H$2:$H$2000,PURCHASES!$F$2:$F$2000,"101")
What's happening though is every entry is causing the "2" and the "2000" to increase by 1. I don't want that, because data could then be missed (and it is). Any ideas?
I really need help. Thank you so much in advance!
We cannot know exactly what is going on, because we can't see your sheet. But two common ways to fix the issue are these:
1.) Use INDIRECT for your references:
=SUMIFS(INDIRECT("PURCHASES!H2:H2000"),INDIRECT("PURCHASES!F2:F2000"),"101")
2.) Include the entire column as the reference:
=SUMIFS(PURCHASES!$H:$H,PURCHASES!$F:$F,"101")
There are other options as well, but they'd require our being able to view your sheet via a shared link.
I am trying to find a way to link several google forms to one google sheet without separate tabs. I am creating a database so I want different employees to be responsible for different sections of the same spreadsheet.
You need to use "IMPORTRANGE". I had to do that recently. https://support.google.com/docs/answer/3093340?hl=en You have to tell the receiving sheet what range of the feeder sheets to import and then give permission. The trick is, if someone adds columns to a feeder sheet, you have to make sure the data is not "overlapping" in the receiving sheet. Otherwise, you'll get an error.
I usually record students marks in a Google Sheet. However Google's embed provides a "mirror" of the Sheets and looks exactly like the sheet. This means I have to resize the cells so as to show the complete names and perform formatting. Is there a better way of displaying this information without resizing the cells. I need a method which automatically displays a the data without any configuration. If possible without the use of Google Apps Script. Here is the sample data. The data will be sent to parents and will also be printed.

You can use Google Visualizations API. This automatically resizes the cells and produces a neat and minimal looking table.
This is the usage:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/<sheet-id>/gviz/tq?tqx=out:html&tq&gid=2
So in your case:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nKcShloX5R4OvhuEtRogCHG18V1YTR5v9Hb19Jobm88/gviz/tq?tqx=out:html&tq&gid=2
The difference is very clear.
I am trying to create a sidebar to go along with the google map visualization I've created with fusion tables. I found this page fusion table with sidebar with an updated SQL query statement. I've tried implementing a similar statement and I am unable to view the map. What am I doing wrong? Here is my code with the SQL statement:

I don't have the expertise or time to correct all the JavaScript at moment, but I can see a few issues I noticed that could be causing you issues.
You don't have an API call included in the query, which
can be found/created at
https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/library.
You're not querying the correct column for your location (col4, not col2). It starts at 0; so col0, col1, ...
You need to create a map and then load the Fusion Table layer over it.
There's possibly a few more issues I didn't immediately see. An alternative to trying to fix this custom code is to use the "Searchable Map Template" by Derek Elder. It uses Bootstrap for CSS, you plug in your API key, Google Fusion Tables ID, and the location column. It allows for filters to be input, like your Genre drop-down menu. It's free, fairly well documented, and has a support group to help with any questions or issues.
Maybe that's what you need if you just want a quicker fix. I realize I didn't exactly answer your question, but if you could upvote the answer if it was a least somewhat useful, I'd appreciate it.
