I am having an issue with my website. I use HostGator and on 8/26/21 they updated
my .htaccess file and pointed to a different version of PHP than what I previously
had. This also happened back in January but I was able to revert to the version
of php I was previously using and resolved the issue myself. This time around that fix is
not working. Two major components of my website that are no longer working are:
OAuth
the following line in my php scripts (I can no longer send emails)
require_once "Mail.php";
OAuth issue
Back in 2015 when I originally started using OAUTH, I merely had to add the following line in my php.ini file
extension=oauth.so
OAuth is no listed as one of the php modules in HostGator but that has always been the case
https://www.hostgator.com/help/article/php-modules
When I load any webpage, I get the following error message in error_log even though I have reverted back to the previous version of PHP
PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/opt/cpanel/ea php56/root/usr/lib64/php/modules/oauth.so'/opt/cpanel/ea-php56/root/usr/lib64/php/modules/oauth.so:cannot open shared object file:
No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
I tried using "PHP PEAR Packages" in cPanel to add OAuth. I used the following steps.
I searched for "oauth" in Find a “PHP Extensions and Applications Package”
I found "HTTP_OAuth (0.3.2)" PEAR implementation of the OAuth 1.0a specification
I clicked on "Install"
It failed. I got the following
WARNING: "pear/Console_Getopt" is deprecated in favor of "pear/Console_GetoptPlus"
pear/HTTP_OAuth can optionally use PHP extension "pecl_http" (version >= 1.6.0)
pear/PEAR requires PEAR Installer (version >= 1.10.1), installed version is 1.9.5
pear/PEAR dependency package "pear/Archive_Tar" installed version 1.4.14 is not the recommended version 1.4.4, but may be compatible, use --force to install
pear/HTTP_OAuth requires package "pear/PEAR" (version >= 1.4.0)
pear/HTTP_Request2 requires package "pear/PEAR" (version >= 1.9.2)
pear/Cache_Lite requires package "pear/PEAR" (version >= 1.10.1)
No valid packages found
install failed
I then tried to install PEAR (1.10.13) PEAR Base System. I used the following steps.
I searched for "PEAR" in Find a “PHP Extensions and Applications Package”
I found PEAR (1.10.13) PEAR Base System
I clicked on "Install"
It failed. I got the following
WARNING: "pear/Console_Getopt" is deprecated in favor of "pear/Console_GetoptPlus"
pear/PEAR requires PEAR Installer (version >= 1.10.1), installed version is 1.9.5
pear/PEAR dependency package "pear/Archive_Tar" installed version 1.4.14 is not the recommended version 1.4.4, but may be compatible, use --force to install
No valid packages found
install failed
I then did some research. I was going to attempt to install this locally in my php folder in my home directory. I used the following steps.
I downloaded "oauth-1.0.0.tgz" from http://pecl.php.net/package/oauth
I uploaded "oauth-1.0.0.tgz" to my php folder in my home directory (I confirmed this by checking the Installed PHP Extension(s) and Application(s)in the directory)
I then input "oauth-1.0.0.tgz" (without quotes) in the Install a PHP Extensions and Applications Package in PHP PEAR Packages and clicked "Install Now"
It failed. I got the following:
No releases available for package "pear.php.net/oauth" - package pecl/oauth can be installed with "pecl install oauth"
install failed
At this point I am stuck. This is beyond my current skill set.
Mail issue
the following line in my php scripts (I can no longer send emails)
require_once "Mail.php";
I get the following message in my error log
PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'Mail.php' (include_path='.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php56/root/usr/share/pear')
Whatever fixes the OAuth issue should be similar to this fix as it is also a PEAR module.
oauth is a pecl package, and your pear web interface probably only supports pear packages, but not pecl packages - this is why you get " No releases available for pear.php.net/oauth". Nothing you can do there on your own.
HTTP_OAuth is a pear package, but it requires Cache_Lite, which requires PEAR 1.10.0+, and your web server only has pear 1.9.5.
Upgrading the pear base system does not work, because the pear installer on that web server is also stuck on an older version.
You're lost there. The administrator would need to upgrade pear to 1.10.0+, then you could install http_oauth.

While installing the package Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Tools for using EF in my project using Nuget, I'm persistently running into the below error. Notice I didn't get any error while installing other related packages used for EF core
Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore
Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Relational
Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.SqlServer
Here is the location of the file ef.exe
Basically the intention behind installing this package is to use EF command-line tools. I'm currently on Windows 10 and the .NET SDK installed on my machine is 3.1. I had previously 2 SDK's installed on my system(3.1 & 5.0). As per microsoft's documentaion, "The .NET CLI must choose an SDK version for every dotnet command. It uses the latest SDK installed on the machine by default." Therefore I went ahead and uninstalled .NET 5.0 SDK
Here are some of the solutions that I tried:
Deleting the package folder from '.nuget/packages/microsoft.entityframeworkcore.tools' & thereby the executable i.e. 'ef.exe' and reinstalling the same.
Installing the same package using dotnet cli.
Running Visual Studio 2019 as admin.
Deleted the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions"
I have also tried some of the steps mentioned here on github: https://github.com/NuGet/Home/issues/1138
. Any kind of help would be really appreciated.
I have answered the detailed description of the solution here on microsoft's .NET Q&A platform.
'EntityFramework.Core.Tools' nuget package installation error
Why can't I install this aqueduct?
Although I have installed dart before as shown in the picture:
It's important to ensure that the dart SDK is in the PATH. You can easily test it by trying to use pub or dart.
One way to ensure it's in the PATH is by creating a .bashrc file in your user's folder.
Then add the following:
export PATH="$PATH:/path/to/dart/installation/bin/folder"
First of all check if dart is installed using dart --version if it gives a command not found error that means it is not installed (hence why you cannot install aqueduct since it requires pub which is shipped with the dart sdk).
To install dart on macOS first install brew and the follow the instruction here https://dart.dev/get-dart (don't run brew switch dart 2.1.0 as shown in the screenshot since it makes no sense because current the latest stable is 2.9.1 and 2.1.0 is pretty old).
If you don't want to install brew you can download the sdk here (for your system) extract it, and update your path variable as #gabriel-octávio says.
I have try to install geolocation plugin in october cms
but i am getting errorenter image description here
You posted that your version is PHP 7.0.2 but it supports the array as constant
I guess, PHP version below 5.6 is not supporting this.
may be you are having issue related to version.
reference : https://3v4l.org/T44gG
may be, you did check command line version (CLI version) of php using
php --version
so at there it may be showing you 7.0 but in your apache config you may still using old version.
to confirm that you are also using PHP 7.0 in Apache you can create small php file with below code.
<?php
phpinfo();
then check what version is there.
if its also showing 7.0 then i don't know its something else.
but if its shows 5.x some things then you need to update your apache config
I assume you are on linux machine so, all commands are related to linux op. system
install apache php 7.0 mod (mod = module)
sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-php7.0
now enable php 7 module before that disable old php5 mod, (sudo a2dismod php5)
sudo a2enmod php7.0
let me know if its works or not.
Someone has asked the exact question I need on this page.
However, as I am new, my rep will not allow me to comment yet! So I have had to create a new question.
A guy in the question linked above suggests to "Type cordova platform add ios;". So there I suppose is where my question is different.
When I type Cordova in cmd prompt, I get a message saying "cordova is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
Update: Please note, I have followed these steps: http://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/7.x/guide/cli/ And I am able to run the npm commands in CLI. I was hoping to simply update my ios version only.
I have also looked up PATH but I have no idea where to start, problem is, people suggest that I shouldn't need to adjust PATH as running the CLI commands to install the Cordova CLI should just allow me to use it?
So to summarize:
I downloaded the node.js and installed it
I typed this into cmd "npm install -g cordova" which installed
I type "cordova" and get my "cordova is not recognized as an internal or external command" message above
My aim is to upgrade my cordova-ios 4.2.0 to cordova-ios 4.3.0 to fix my main error of "remote build requires your projects to use cordova-ios 4.3.0 or greater with XCode 8.3"
Update 2 9th oct 2017:
I have given up for now with the above, to work around this i installed Node.js 8.6.0 then updated cordova using npm... im now facing some more issues that I am again stuck on and will create a new question.
Hopefully in the meantime, someone can answer this question and i can try again.
I suspect my issues could be relating to the fact i installed VS 2017 and used all the built in nuget packages (for cordova and node.js) and they are conflicting with the manual way in some way (i suspect that, as running the "cordova" command on my other PC worked fine!)
I am getting "Curl development headers with SSL support" error when trying to install passenger nginx module on OSX machine.
I downloaded curl-7.19.7 from Apple and it installed fine.
What's going on??
The default Apple installation includes the binaries, but not the development headers. When you build the package from source (even from Apple's open source packages) it includes the headers, so you can build the native extensions. Therefore, when you manually install Apple's nginx packages, you get everything you need to build the extension. Kinda like what happens when you try to install the mysql gem on OS X Server if you haven't installed Apple's MySQL source packages. b0rked until you build from Apple's (modified) source.
