Array Formula to Combine Text with Unique Condition - google-sheets

I have a list of customers and the products they bought.
I want to combine every product that each customer bought into respectively a single cell next to customers' name.
Is there any way with array formula that can do this? The formula is expected to be a single formula that can automatically return the value when new data is input, so I think it should be an array formula.
Here is the sample case
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GpCbpFz7wrZjamhtm9rHk38RgyAUCBx54BeQCIeG1H4/edit#gid=0
The expected return can be seen in E:E. But the expected formula shouldnt be like that since it is kinda painful to drag formulas all over when I input new data, it is expected to be like an array formula.

Erase contents in D:E and then enter in D1
=arrayformula(regexreplace({unique(A1:A), trim(transpose(query(if((transpose(unique(A1:A))=A1:A)*len(A1:A),B1:B&" - ",),,50000)))},"-$", ))
See if that works?

Array formula is not working with the combination of Vlookup and Indirect-Match?

I am trying to generate an arrayformula for the whole column but it does not work, when I use the same formula cell by cell, it generates correct value. Here is the formula for F1 cell:
=if(Iferror(vlookup($D1, INDIRECT("$"&"A"&MATCH(E1,$B:$B,0)+1&":$B"),2,false),"")=E1,"",Iferror(vlookup($D1, INDIRECT("$"&"A"&MATCH(E1,$B:$B,0)+1&":$B"),2,false),""))
I am trying to convert it into ArrayFormula like this and put it in F1:
=ARRAYFORMULA(if(Iferror(vlookup($D:$D, INDIRECT("$"&"A"&MATCH($E:$E,$B:$B,0)+1&":$B"),2,false),"")=$E:$E,"",Iferror(vlookup($D:$D, INDIRECT("$"&"A"&MATCH($E:$E,$B:$B,0)+1&":$B"),2,false),"")))
But this does not work and returns empty column, here is the sheet if you want to test it, you can find formula in column F:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13XLZvvdzK_mqr4Ous50cIEfernw2XrPJWvVgt1hFxtk/edit?usp=sharing
Please share your knowledge how to go about it as I am trying to learn formulas starting from basic level? Thank you.
when working with more than one condition, you can usually use FILTER for it. In this case, I used MAP to refer to both columns D and E, and used FILTER to narrow to the matches in A column, and then to those values that were further than the row of the MATCH of E value. Then, with INDEX I chose the first value of that resulting range.
=MAP(D:D,E:E,LAMBDA(d,e,IFERROR(IF(d="","",INDEX(FILTER(B:B,A:A=d,ROW(B:B)>MATCH(e,B:B,0)),1)))))
Unclear of the full scope but from your expected result scenario(in Column F) you seem to be pulling off second match(if any). well in that case try:
=BYROW(D:D,LAMBDA(dx,IF(dx="",,IFNA(FILTER(ARRAY_CONSTRAIN(FILTER(B:B,A:A=dx),2,1),{0;1})))))

Compiling a list using INDEX but need to skip certain rows

I'm compiling a list based on the first answers recieved between row N and AF.
I'm using these two formulas:
=INDEX(N2:O2,MATCH(FALSE,ISBLANK(N2:O2),0))
and
=INDEX(R2:AF2,MATCH(FALSE,ISBLANK(R2:AF2),0))
Is there a way to combine them whilst not searching in rows P & Q?
These are generated from a Form response so can't just be switched around.
try:
=INDEX({N2:O2, R2:AF2}, MATCH(FALSE, ISBLANK({N2:O2, R2:AF2}), 0))
If Sheet1 is an intake sheet of form results, you should not add any data, formulas or even formatting to that sheet. It virtually always causes issues. A form intake sheet should be left exactly as it is. A new sheet can then be used to bring over the results of the form intake sheet as you want to see them.
However, since you didn't specify any of that, I will supply a formula written to work in the same sheet as your posted example and in-sheet examples.
Clear an entire column and place the following in the top cell of that column:
=ArrayFormula({"Attendee Name"; IF(E2:E="",,IFERROR(REGEXEXTRACT(TRIM(TRANSPOSE(QUERY(TRANSPOSE(FILTER(IF(N2:AK="",,N2:AK&"~"),N1:AK1=N1)),,COLUMNS(N1:AK1)))),"\s*([^~]+)"),"(none listed)"))})
This one formula will produce a header (the text of which you can change within the formula itself as you lie) and all valid results for all rows.
The inner IF will append a tilde (~) to any non-null entries in the range N2:AK.
FILTER will keep only those columns in this range where the header is the same as the header in N1 (i.e., "Attendee Name").
TRANSPOSE(QUERY(TRANSPOSE( ),,COLUMNS( ))) is colloquially called a "Query smash." It will form one cell from all horizontal results per row.
TRIM will cut any preliminary spaces and form a true string.
REGEXEXTRACT will pull the from the first non-space character up to but not including the first tilde (from those appended in the first step)—in other words, the first full valid entry from any column.
IFERROR will return a message if there is an error, with the likely error being that there were no valid entries for "Attendee name" in any column.
The outer IF will leave the cell blank if the no training event exists in E2:E.
{ } forms a virtual array that places the header over all other results.
ArrayFormula( ) signifies that multiple results will be processed at once.
Because this is an array formula that is being "asked" to process every row, you cannot manually type into any cell of this results column. If you do, you will "break the array"; everything except what you just typed will disappear, leaving only an error in the formula cell. If you need to add or change a name, you need to do that in the raw results range (e.g., manually type a name or a new name in Col N), which will then turn up in the formula output range.

Google sheet Query formula that use text from one column to match another column returning text from adjacent cell

I have a dropdown text column, Claims!B2:B that is supposed to match Ref!A2:A and select Ref!B2:B text.
I tried
=ArrayFormula(IF($B$2:$B="","", LOOKUP($B$2:$B,Ref!$A$2:$A,Ref!$B$2:$B)))
some results not consistent
=QUERY(Ref!A2:B,"Select B where A = "&B2:B&"")
resulting in error
=FILTER(Ref!B2:B,Ref!$A$2:$A=B2:B)
wrong results and not arrayed.
I like to know what should be the simplest array formula for the scenario and if possible correct my other trials for my learning process.
Sample data attached. sample supplier
Please use
for your Category column
=INDEX(IFNA(VLOOKUP(B2:B,Ref!A2:C,3,0)))
and for your GST Stats
=INDEX(IFNA(VLOOKUP(B2:B,Ref!A2:C,2,0)))
(As you notice the only difference is the column number from 2 to 3)
Functions used:
INDEX
IFNA
VLOOKUP

Combining a Cell Reference and Wildcard as Criterion in Google Sheets CountIf Formula

I'm struggling with writing the proper syntax for this formula in Google Sheets. In one sheet called Game Log, in the H column I have data that can be a range of names (1 - 10 names per row). I'm trying to construct a COUNTIF statement that would search for the name in all the rows for that column. There can be several other names in the same column so I need to use the wildcard * to find any occurrence of the name in each row. So for example, the current code below would count all occurrence of Adam in the rows.
=COUNTIF('Game Log'!H3:H102, "*Adam*")
What I would like to do is replace the hard codes "Adam" with a cell reference (in this case B2). Is it possible to combine that cell reference with the wild card? The know the code below doesn't work (as it would return text counting occurrences of B2), but is something like this possible?
=COUNTIF('Game Log'!H3:H102, "*B2*")
Have you tried something like this?
=COUNTIF('Game Log'!H3:H102, "*" & B2 & "*")
That ought to look for any string value, followed by the cell value, followed again by any string value. It's essentially just performing separate checks, in sequence, which allows you to search for different value types (in this case string wildcard + cell value + string wildcard).

Automatically fill sum column

I have a table of items with its buying and selling rates. Against each transaction, I wanted to show the item qty currently available and the current cost. Here is a screenshot of the table.
For the columns of Qty and Rate, I have used the formulas as shown below:
=SUMPRODUCT(C$2:C-F$2:F,B$2:B=B2,A$2:A<=A2)
=SUMPRODUCT(I$2:I/J2,B$2:B=B2,A$2:A<=A2)
Is it possible to convert SUMPRODUCT formulas as an array formula (returning array) so that it automatically fills whenever a row is added? Something like filling a column using FILTER or QUERY?
Regards,
Pravin Kumar.
I am making an assumption that this is your goal:
To automatically fill the quantity remaining column with the result of the difference between the two values, if and only if, there are two values provided.
A solution to this objective is:
=arrayformula(if(and(C2:C<>””, F2:F<>””), C2:C-F2:F, “”))
This produces a formula that subtracts C from F only if both C and F have values, and for all rows that have values in both C and F. If one of the rows does not have a value, the result will yield “” (blank). This formula should be posted at the top of the column where you want these results to start. In your screenshot example this would be cell J2. NOTE: 0 is still a value, and also that an array formula will not overwrite manually input data, so once you paste that function in J2, you will have to clear the cells below in order for it to auto populate.
