Twincat C++ - Visual studio configuration error - visual-studio-2019

I am trying to write C++ projects in Twincat, but I get the following error during building.
I have followed the steps mentioned here till the end and has configured WINDDK7 variable in my system environment settings. I do not understand why the build throws error even though the configuration is correct. Can somebody please help?
P.S I am a beginner in Twincat.

What version of TwinCAT are you working with?
As described on this page, the WDK only needs to be installed for 4022 or earlier versions of TwinCAT.
WDK installation only up to TwinCAT 3.1 Build 4022:
The installation of the WDK described here is only necessary up to TwinCAT 3.1. Build 4022. From Build 4024.0, either the WDK must be uninstalled or the previously set system variable WINDDK7 must be renamed so that TwinCAT ignores the WDK.
The error message also provides some valid information, You can disable the WDK requirement for certain projects under the configuration options for the C++ Project:

How to build a Windows driver development kit 7 on 10

I am trying to build a Windows driver for a piece of hardware I am using. The build notes seem dated as they specify using DDK for Win7. I have Windows kit version 10. Are these the same thing just later version? The instructions then state to open a DDK command window environment then use "build -ceZ" in the dir where the files are located. Does v10 have this console and if so where can I find it? Thanks
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/devtest/wdk-and-visual-studio-build-environment
"The Windows Driver Kit (WDK) 8.1 and WDK 8 introduced a major change
to the environment that you use to build a driver. The WDK no longer
uses Build.exe. The WDK build environment for drivers uses MSBuild.exe
and is fully integrated with the Visual Studio development
environment. This means that source files, makefile.inc, makefile.new
and other related build files present in the previous version of the
WDK are no longer used. The WDK now enables you to create, edit,
build, test, and deploy a driver through Visual Studio. The purpose of
this document is to provide information to help users familiar with
previous WDKs in getting started with the WDK 8.1 and WDK 8."
If you want to build the driver as is then you will need to install the Windows 7.1 DDK and build it using its tools.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Driver_Kit
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=11800
You are allowed to install different versions of the DDK on the same machine.
You might find it tricky to install DDK 7.1 on Windows 10 though, try and use this to get around any problem install.
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/32091593/cannot-install-windows-sdk-7-1-on-windows-10#:~:text=If%20you%20continue%20with%20Setup,187668%20and%20then%20rerun%20Setup.
Then it's just a case of "choosing the 7.1 ddk environment (32bit or 64bit)" so that it's tools are accessible/used when "building" your driver.
Look in your startmenu at "StartMenu -> Windows Driver Kits -> WDK XXXX -> Build Environments" to find a command prompt to open.
If you can't/don't want to install the DDK 7.1 and a WDK8+ version of your driver project isn't available then it may be possible to convert the driver from using the older "makefile" into new msbuild way of building, but might be fiddly.
https://community.osr.com/discussion/289475/build-exe-to-msbuild-exe-migration-advice
"If you go into VS you should be able to create a WDK driver project.
It will give you a solution with (I think) one C file filled with
everything necessary to make a driver which does nothing. But, most
importantly, it will generate an XML file that MSBuild will accept.
The XML format is not documented. After you have this XML file you
should be able to figure out how to add your files to it by hand, but
you could move the existing driver files to the project using the GUI.
That may be easiest."

Which Specflow Visual Studio Plugin version do I need to run SpecFlow 2.2.0?

I am not able to determine, which version of the SpecFlow Visual Studio plugin I need to run the old version 2.2.0 of SpecFlow
Due to administrative constraints, we cannot use any other SpecFlow version than 2.2.0
I have tried several older versions of the VS plugin, but with my existing Code (based on SpecFlow 2.2.0), all these result in the error:
Error CS1029 #error: 'Version conflict - SpecFlow Visual Studio extension
attempted to use SpecFlow code-behind
generator 1.9, but project 'XXXXXXX' references SpecFlow 2.2.'
I suppose that I need some plugin Version, that works internally with 2.2
I cannot use the SpecFlow.Tools.MsBuild.Generation package, as this is not yet supported with 2.2.0.
Anyone can help me out? The release history of the SpecFlow Visual Studio Plugins can be found here:
https://github.com/techtalk/SpecFlow.VisualStudio/releases
EDIT
I use Visual Studio 2017 (15.9.6)
In the "packages" folder there are SpecFlow-2.2.0 and SpecFlow.MsTest-2.2.0. I deleted them, I deleted the nuget package Cache and rebuild the solution.
Problem still exists.
The error you are seeing has nothing to do with the suggestions in the comments. It is an additional check we added to the extension.
For SpecFlow 2.2 you have to use an older version of the extension. You can find them at https://github.com/techtalk/SpecFlow.VisualStudio/releases
When I am remembering correctly v2017.2.7 should work for it.
Don't forget to turn off automatic updates of the extension. If you do, you will get again the latest version.
Blog post about how to do it is here: https://specflow.org/2018/vs-integration-breaking-changes-affects-all-users/
Full disclosure: I am one of the SpecFlow and SpecFlow+ developers.
make sure you install the right Specflow extension for your VS(try uninstall and reinstall as well) also make sure you set "Enable SpecflowSingleFileGenerator to false" in VS>Tools>Options>Specflow. you only need this to be true for version 3 onward I suppose.
I had this issue, and while It worked to some extend however, I just install VS 2015 and use specflow 2.2 under that. you should be able to make it work for VS 17 I guess.

DNX design time error - System cannot find file specified

When i try to run the ASP NET 5 solution, i get below error.
Microsoft Visual Studio Error
The following error occurred attempting to run the DNX design time process (dnx-clr-win-x86.1.0.0-beta8).
The system cannot find the file specified.
The DNX design time process provides intellisense, build, and reference information to Visual Studio and without it your experience will be very limited. Please try closing and reopening Visual Studio to see if that corrects the problem. Alternatively, check that the DNX version is properly installed or try changing to a different installed DNX version using the project property pages.
The project is not finding DNX SDK (if you look at the project properties you may see an empty drop-list next to 'Solution DNX SDK version').
If you are on windows 7, I suspect you may have an old version of powershell installed. You need at least version 3.0.

Visual Studio iOS deployment fails because "The edge module has not been pre-compiled"

I am trying to deploy a HTML/CSS/JS Apache Cordova application from a windows machine to a Mac. I believe they are communicating properly through the remotebuild agent but when I attempt to build a blank project to deploy on the Mac this error is thrown at the very beginning of the build:
MDAVSCLI : error : The edge module has not been pre-compiled for node.js version v4.1.1. You must build a custom version of edge.node. Please refer to https://github.com/tjanczuk/edge for building instructions.
I have followed the link and have searched for the solution as to how to fix this error but the link does not seem to apply to what I am doing at all. I am not using any node.js functions in my code so I am confused as to why this error is occuring. I am only trying to build a nearly blank HTML page and I still get the error regardless of how simple I make the page.
How can I go about fixing this solution? what is the best way to get rid of this error or to as the error suggests pre-compile edge to work with node.js version 4.1.1?
There is an issue with Cordova 5.3.1 and Node v4.
https://github.com/Microsoft/cordova-docs/blob/master/articles/known-issues/known-issues-ios.md#building-for-ios-hangs-when-nodejs-v40-is-installed
I fixed by uninstalling Node v4.1.1 and installing Node v0.12.7
https://nodejs.org/en/download/releases/
#Dustin,
you have a misconception about how Cordova works. You say you want to deploy to a Mac, but I think you mean iOS. If so, you should read:
What's needed for iOS Development?
https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/phonegap/bf1Hgkel3W4
I Quote
The short and sweet of it is as follows:
You need OS X + Xcode
You need several iDevices
You need $99/year for Apple Developer program (which you've already indicated is not a problem)
All of the above = cost-of-doing-business.
If you read the entire thread (especially the part from Kerri Shotz), you will get more information and more options.
Best of Luck
After losing a fair bit of hope and following a lot of posts, blogs and bug work-arounds with no luck I decided to click on the 'Run Dependency Checker' button in Visual Studio - Tools -> Options -> Tools For Apache Cordova -> Cordov Tools. This checker told me that Joyent Node.js wast installed. I did have node.js and npm set up on the latest version, im not sure what the difference is.
I went through the process of modifying the VS installation (change or remove a program) and sure enough Joyent Node.js wasnt checked. I cheked it and it went through the process of installing.
My VS installation now looks like the below and my project is building without:
MDAVSCLI : error : The edge module has not been pre-compiled for node.js version v4.1.1

Using GoogleTestRunner in our TFS Build

We are using the Google Test framework (version 1.7) for unit tests in C++ project (with Visual Studio 2012 and TFS 2012). By using GoogleTestRunner for VS2012 I am able to discover the tests written in Google Test within Visual Studio and run them. So far so good :)
Now I would like to run the tests with my CI build I have set up on our TFS. Therefore I have installed the GoogleTestRunner on my build server for the user that runs our build. If I run the build (and tests) on the build server directly in Visual Studio it works - but when the build is triggered by the TFS build definition I displays the following message in the log:
No test found. Make sure that installed test discoverers & executors,
platform & framework version settings are appropriate and try again.
Any suggestion what I am missing?
Is this working for anybody at all?
Your help is highly appreciated!
Christoph
I have been able to sort it out myself :)
There is a guide showing how to get it running for NUnit. Just follow that guide and adopt it to the GoogleTestRunner:
http://bartwullems.blogspot.de/2012/10/tfs-2012-build-configure-nunit-to-run.html
I extracted the DLLs from the GoogleTestRunner.vsix file with 7zip (I assume any other Zip program would work as well). I checked in all DLLs I found there (as described in the mentioned guide) - don't know if really all DLLs are needed.
