How can I find an extension on MS Edge Add-ons store or the full URL of the extension using a CRX ID ? (CRX ID is 32-characters long keyword) - microsoft-edge

I have the CRX ID of a Microsoft Edge extension. How can I find the extension on MS Edge Add-ons store using this CRX ID or the full URL of the extension?

Here, I am assuming that you are searching for an already published extension.
By default, we can search the extension by typing its name in the search box on MS Edge Add-ons store.
I made some tests with the Add-ons store site and found that we can find the specific extension by passing the extension ID with the URL.
We can see the extension ID(32 characters long) of an installed extension by visiting the edge://extensions/ page in the MS Edge browser.
URL syntax would be below.
https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/<Modify_extension_id_here>?hl=en-US
You need to replace the <Modify_extension_id_here> with the actual extension-ID in the URL above will open that extension page.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Thanks for your understanding.

Pick any store URL, replace the last 32 digits (CRX ID) with the new CRX ID and run it in the browser to get the full URL as the page refreshes.
For example to find the URL for this CRX ID: ghbhpcookfemncgoinjblecnilppimih
Go to any store product detail page for example https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/microsoft-editor-spellin/hokifickgkhplphjiodbggjmoafhignh ; change the CRX ID to ghbhpcookfemncgoinjblecnilppimih and you will see it resolves to https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/accessibility-insights-fo/ghbhpcookfemncgoinjblecnilppimih
Let me know if this was helpful. I am happy to help you with more details.

Display images in Neo4J brower using file name property

How could i display the image.jpg corresponding to a node by clicking on the name of the file (property of the node) in the Neo4j CE 3.2.6 browser. The file being stored locally or on a server? Is there any simple alternative?
The neo4j browser does not support clickable links directly.
However, your browser may have that ability built in, or it may have a plugin that can do that. For this to work, your image links would have to be complete URLs, though.
For example, the Chrome browser has a Text Url Linker extension that can turn http URL strings into clickable links. (That extension does not support file URLs, but there may be other extensions that do.) To see the image, you would select the node of interest in the neo4j browser, and click on the URL value for that node in the bottom of the current pane. You can also right-click on the URL if you want to use the Open Link in New Tab option.

How do i display files from a users OneDrive using the Microsoft Graph Api

I'm currently working with the OneDrive API to get files from a users OneDrive.
I need to be able to display a file from OneDrive dynamically, depending on what element a user clicks on.
I Know that I can go into my OneDrive and get a Embedded Link that I can use to display a file from my OneDrive, but this is not what I need. I attempted to use the Embedded Link combined with data binding but the link requires a authorization token unique the initial embedded link.
Essentially I want a user to click on a element corresponding to a OneDrive element (eg a file or pdf). Then have file will display in a IFrame on the page.
For Office documents, you can use the webUrl property from a DiveItem. This URL will open the document in the editor associated with that file type. For example, navigating to the webUrl for a .ppt file will open that document in PowerPoint Online.
For other files, the webUrl property simply points to the file itself. What happens when you navigate to that address will depend on the file type and what applications you have installed. Navigating to a .pdf generally will show that file in the browser (most browsers support PDF) but other files may not have an application and therefore just download to the local machine.
You can open the URLs into an iframe but be careful to ensure you're UI is taking up minimal screen area. Also make sure you're page is responsive so users can use the app in a smaller window and/or mobile device without your UI eating up so much canvas that they can't see/use the document itself.
here is an example of a creation of an edit link in onedrive, you can change the type of edit to embeed to get what you want, this is in php utilizing laravel, the graph api with the docs https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/docs/api-reference/v1.0/api/item_createlink
public function getEditableEmbeed($itemid){
$this->refresh();
$file = $this->getGraph()->createRequest("POST", "/me/drive/items/".$itemid."/createLink")->attachBody('{ "type": "edit", "scope": "anonymous"}')->execute();
return $file;
}

Get the Id of Office365 for the file API from SharePoint REST API

I'm working on an iOS app using the Office365 iOS SDK.
I'm also using the SharePoint REST API to search for files in the Office 365 SharePoint/OneDrive files. The search call looks like this:
.../search/query?querytext='myQuery'&SelectProperties='UniqueId,Title,Path,Size,Author'
The search works fine and gives me results. Now I want to download files from the search results. For this I am using the Office iOS SDK. To download a file, I need the ID of the file, as described here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/office/office365/APi/files-rest-operations#FileoperationsDownloadafileREST
In the iOS SDK, there's this corresponding method:
spClient.getfiles().getById(fileID)
The problem is, how do I get this fileID from the search REST API? I tried UniqueID but that doesn't work. Is there any way to get this ID?
UniqueId isn't a property of a File/Folder object. Selecting Id will return what you want. For reference, here are the properties of a File/Folder object.
EDIT: Here's the request I made to test this. GET /_api/v1.0/me/files?$select=id,name,size HTTP/1.1. Without pasting the entire response, I'll say I got what's expected, an array of File/Folder items with the ID, name, and size properties. Please let me know if you need more help!

How do I write a link that works for a specific youtube channel video?

When I add a link which contains a # hash tag, Apple Mail 3.6 on the Mac OS X does not link it properly.
This: http://www.youtube.com/user/chromeperformance#p/u/1/fdf2Z0vpnT0
Becomes: http://www.youtube.com/user/chromeperformance#p/u/1/fdf2Z0vpnT0
Would really appreciate some help.
Regards
Craig
Apple Mail has a bug which doesn't allow you to use the hash # sign in a URL. If you go to Edit > Link > Add in Apple Mail and paste the url into it, it won't let you.
Unfortunately through testing and scouring the web, a solution does not exist, though many complain.
The best alternative is to use a URL shortening service such as http://bit.ly to produce a short url which can then be added to an email.

Making a .dmg available for download from a website

Good day lovely computer peoples!
I've uploaded a .dmg file to my server, but when I test to see if it is downloadable by pointing the web browser to it's place in the directory (i.e. using it's URL) I get a 404.
Any possible ideas of why this could be happening?
Thanks
EDIT 1
I realize that the 404 means that it can't find the item, but I'm staring at both addresses (the one in the browser and the one in the FTP client that I use) and they seem identical. I have some underscores in the name of the .dmg. Could that be the problem?
You need to make sure you add a mime type for the file extension. Most servers now days do not allow access to files that don't have explicit file extension declarations in their list of mime types.
You didn't say what server you're using so I can't give you specific instructions on how to do it but in most servers it's fairly easy. Just google your webserver name and "add mime type" with the quotes.
The myfile.dmg is not found. Double check the file location and the URL you are pointing to.
