i want to know where i can give some description to test notes in TestFlight. Because whats in the test information build only shows for the most recent build. And who can change the test note for the build? is it the app owner or the tester?
If you have access right, then you can login into https://appstoreconnect.apple.com, you can edit the test note in the platform, for the App which you have access right.
Select TestFlight tab > select your build and you will see Test Details box
We have the same issues since years.
For apps which have one language (so the primary language), English (U.S.), it works as expected.
But for apps which have one language, like German, the latest build view displays the release notes, but notes the previous build views (the one shared in the first post).

As I am testing In App Purchases of my app project (for iOS) at the moment, I am trying to figure out how to test for users from different countries(if the number-formatting code is correct for currencies/prices being displayed):
What I can do is; change the country of my apple ID. Which is fine, for testing the displayed price. This price changes indeed for different countries.
But still the displayed currency is the Euro (as I live/work and am located at the moment in Europe).
So how could I mimic/simulate being in another country/continent?
Is there another solution?
(besides travelling....just for testing purposes :)!!)
Pls correct me if I ask something stupid or if it is already asked (I could not find a similar question)
You can change the application region in the scheme settings.
Go to Product > Scheme > Edit Scheme. Then under Run select the Options tab, here you can easily change the region (and language) settings:
I have an application that I would like to test in another language. Using Xcode is there a way to test the application in another language without changing my language preferences on my iPhone?
It is very simple. In Xcode go to menu "Product" and Alt + click on "Run..." menu item.
This will open schemes. On "Run" scheme open "Options" tab. Select "Application Language" and Run.
Well, not really I guess. The only other way is to implement the whole language choosing possibility by yourself, i.e. give the user (or just yourself as developer) the possibility to change the language manually. But that's really a lot of overhead and you'll probably not want that.
There is no quick other way of doing so I'm afraid :/
You can create instances of the simulator with Xcode 6.1 (windows->devices) , see attached ss.
So, create a iphone-language version. This new 'simulator' is now available in the drop down list of devices when you build and run. Run in that new target device. When your app start, you should see the proper simulator in the window banner as here :
Now go into settings and set the language to your desired target. Should work, but have not tested with an actual multi-language app myself.
I want to have two version of the same IOS app to stay in the same time in the same device, one for testing and the other for production.
The app is built using phonegap build, so what I have done is
using two different bundle id specified in build.xml (edit: config.xml), so that one is dk.xxxDev.mobile, and the other one is dk.xxx.mobile
having two different apps in the apple developer page, so now I still have the previous one for dk.xxx.mobile and the new one dk.xxxDev.mobile
building using two different provisioning file, one for each app (one is using a developer profile, while the other is using an ad hoc certificate, but i guess we don't care about it)
Still, every time I deploy using itunes or testflightapp, one app overwrites the other one! What am I doing wrong?
edit: I Also changed
- the tag "name" in the build.xml (so that testflightapp can distinguish them )
- I'm using different filnames when I add the app to iTunes
Can you check if the 2 versions of the app generate are using the same IPA file name?
The file naming convention for the Mpbile Apps is as follows:
app_name.version.IPA file
iTunes in the Mac or in the PC store the mobile apps in IPA format and if they are using the same name, installing one will override the other. This is a valid question for Apple Support and this is something that a future version of iTunes may fix.
I was doing something different from what I wrote, I was probably using the same certificate for both versions.
So doing exactly what I wrote, it is supposed to work.
You need to change bundle identifier of one of the apps
Select Project in Xcode, then select target and in general tab you will see bundle identifier string.
e.g. com.YourCompane.AppName change "AppName"
How I can see the release dates of the previous versions of my app in AppStore/iTunes Connect?
I had shipped several updates in the past and I would like to know when exactly I uploaded them etc.
I checked everywhere and I cannot find any information about the release history of the app there.
Is it just me or AppStore Connect lacks such a basic feature?
It's available in iTunes. Just search for your app click on the Show All Version link.
Since the redesign of ItunesConnect this has moved to Pricing and Availability. Here you will find Last-Compatible Version Settings where you can selected the available versions.
Go to Google and search for "<app name> App Store"
One of the first results should be the App Store page (on itunes.apple.com). Click it
Click "Version History" in the What's New section
View detailed historic release notes, version numbers, upload dates
Follow the steps to track your all app version release to App Store.1. Login using your developer account credential.
2. Choose My Apps from all available services.3. From all available apps, choose a particular app whose details you wants to check.4. Choose Activity from top menu bar.5. From iOS History (at left side bar) choose App Store VersionsYou will find list of release version for that app. For release date click on detail disclosure button.
[2021] If you open the App Store on the iOS device and navigate to your App, you will find the full version history with version and release notes under the Version History" tab.
I'm a novice iOS developer and got my iOS developer program account, I setup the iOS certificate and Provisioning Profile and I can run my test app on my device(iPad). My question is if I want to run different test apps(imagine couple Apple sample codes) on my device without replacing the last tested app on my device(I mean keep all of them on my device at the end of test) what would be the trick here? I know each app has it's own bundle identifier, but how to manage this scenario for running all of them on the device with the same iOS Certificate/Provisioning Profile?
Just change the Name of the project and it should refactor. Change the name on the root of files & folders in xcode. You can click on it and it'll let you change the name. In Build Settings Properties change the name under there as well. Click at the very top of your list of files where it says the name of your project and it'll bring up the build properties.
If I understood you correctly, there are two parts of your questions:
Yes, you can run many (distinct) apps on your device.
To have multiple version of the same app running on your device, all you need is change app's product name to a different name, app1, app2, etc. It is a relatively easy process to do it. This SO Q/Aenter link description here has the instructions. You do not need to rename your project or any thing else. Just make a copy of the project and follow the instructions to make a new product name.
