How I can see the release dates of the previous versions of my app in AppStore/iTunes Connect?
I had shipped several updates in the past and I would like to know when exactly I uploaded them etc.
I checked everywhere and I cannot find any information about the release history of the app there.
Is it just me or AppStore Connect lacks such a basic feature?
It's available in iTunes. Just search for your app click on the Show All Version link.
Since the redesign of ItunesConnect this has moved to Pricing and Availability. Here you will find Last-Compatible Version Settings where you can selected the available versions.
Go to Google and search for "<app name> App Store"
One of the first results should be the App Store page (on itunes.apple.com). Click it
Click "Version History" in the What's New section
View detailed historic release notes, version numbers, upload dates
Follow the steps to track your all app version release to App Store.1. Login using your developer account credential.
2. Choose My Apps from all available services.3. From all available apps, choose a particular app whose details you wants to check.4. Choose Activity from top menu bar.5. From iOS History (at left side bar) choose App Store VersionsYou will find list of release version for that app. For release date click on detail disclosure button.
[2021] If you open the App Store on the iOS device and navigate to your App, you will find the full version history with version and release notes under the Version History" tab.

i want to know where i can give some description to test notes in TestFlight. Because whats in the test information build only shows for the most recent build. And who can change the test note for the build? is it the app owner or the tester?
If you have access right, then you can login into https://appstoreconnect.apple.com, you can edit the test note in the platform, for the App which you have access right.
Select TestFlight tab > select your build and you will see Test Details box
We have the same issues since years.
For apps which have one language (so the primary language), English (U.S.), it works as expected.
But for apps which have one language, like German, the latest build view displays the release notes, but notes the previous build views (the one shared in the first post).
I've seen a lot of apps use the UIApplicationShortcutIconTypeShare application shortcut to share their app right from the home screen. It launches a UIActivityViewController right from the home screen without opening the app. How do you do that?
The OS adds the sharing menu item automatically to all apps downloaded from the App Store. Note that it doesn't add it to apps installed via Xcode or any third party distribution systems such as Buddybuild.
(Edit: the TestFlight version of your app will have "Send Beta Feedback" menu item instead of "Share...")
To address your question directly though, no, it is not possible (as of iOS 10 - may be possible in the future, who knows) for an app to present a view controller directly on the home screen. If it was possible, that would be a big security issue, because an app should not be able to access anything outside its own main window.
I am developing a Windows Phone 8.1 application, since this application is only used intern its unnecessary to upload it to the store. We'd like to share it through a download link instead.
I'd like to know if this is possible for Windows Phone applications since I didn't find anything about it.
Yes, you can publish your app with link only download from your "Distribution and visibility" section in dev center. If you select this option than people with only app link can download your app and it will be hidden in the store from global availability.
Please check this MSDN documentation for more details.
I'm almost ready to launch my first game on iOS and I want to add a link to more games of the same studio, so the App Store is opened and next games I release also appear there. To do so I need the developer ID, which is a number code, but I don't know where to get it.
For example, 296415947 is the DEV ID for Twitter Inc.:
https://itunes.apple.com/es/artist/twitter-inc./id296415947
I need mine but I have no apps published yet. Do you know where can I find it?
You can find it in iTunes Connect:
My Apps --> <name of your app> --> Versions... then scroll down, the ID is written below the app icon in the section General Information.
Is there an open source library out there for presenting an in-app alert when a new version is available to download? Push notification would be a plus also.
iVersion sounds like the exact thing you are looking for. It works similar to Sparkle on Mac OSX where it consults a remote file on your website where you can bump the version number once Apple approves your app and shows a prompt to the user if their version is lower than the one specified on your server.
Here's another one https://github.com/jacobsologub/appdate, it just calls Apple's search API to check if a given app "you app" has an update.
