I'm looking to return a match on an array of data, depending on what the current date is.

Essentially I have 10 workers that can possibly appear on the roster, which will vary day to day. I'd like to link this to a google script which will automatically trigger an email to the workers that will be in the office the next day.
My issue is that I'm not sure how to create a dynamic reference so that my index-match formula knows which column to refer to. I'd like the formula to detect what tomorrow's date is, and as such return a 1 or 0 for who is rostered for the day. I've tried several Index-match-match methods but with no avail, as I have a broad range of potential columns to return data from.
Hope this makes sense, any help would be much appreciated.

I'm trying create a list of sequential dates from a set date to the most recent date in another column.
=ARRAYFORMULA(IF(OR(A2:A=MAX(C:C),A2:A=""),"",DATEVALUE(A2:A+1)))
I use MAX() to find the dates most recent date in column C. What I'm trying to get this formula to do is to recursively check the date in the cell above to determine if the max date has been reached. I've made sure A2 already has the set starting date.
The output is in only one cell though and I don't know why.

What appears to be troubling your current array formula is that as defined it goes on forever and is self-referential. There may be a way to make it by setting preferences to be iterative and helping it interpret getting to repeated cells with "" as convergence.
Here is a way to sidestep those issues. You can bulletproof it more (for example, by encasing it in an IFERROR), but basically you can calculate exactly how many entries you need, and then set your range in the Array formula accordingly. In A3 you place the following:
=arrayformula(DATEVALUE(Row(indirect("A3:A"&(max(C:C)-A2+2)))+A2-2))
which will construct the exact range you want, then calculate each entry with an explicit rather than recursive formula.
EDIT: the above implementation assumes you need at least 2 dates. You can handle that case and other weird ones with the following, less readable formula, =if(max(C:C)>A2,iferror(arrayformula(DATEVALUE(Row(indirect("A3:A"&(max(C:C)-$A$2+2)))+$A$2-2))),"")
I have question about one function that i require in Google Sheets. I have a schedule of visitors and another sheet that includes every statistic data. I need to make a table which will contain sum of number, but statistic must be by month. In my source sheet i have columns which include date and amount. All that I need it's function. I tried it with SUMIF and SUMIFS but it doesn't work. Does anyone know how can I cope with this trouble? Thanks

A little hard to get you all the way there without seeing your format, but this should get you close.
The scenario I am faced with is kind of an odd one. Basically, I am designing a Google Sheet for work that will allow the employees to log their tech support phone calls and then a report will automatically update on another page, keeping a collective tally of sorts of all the activity on a particular day.
What I am trying to do is write a function that searches another sheet for a particular date and, if that date is found, sum a particular column of values for that day only. There are pictures attached that should help explain the problem.
Basically, I am trying to write a general equation in the cell reading "FALSE" that will look up the date of that row (in this case 1/1/2017) in the "Spendgo Minutes" sheet. If that date were to be found somewhere on that sheet (not necessarily at the top of the sheet), the "Minutes Gained" column would be summed up, but for that date only (not the entire column). Here is my running formula right now that has errors:
=IF(COUNTIF('Spendgo Tally'!$A$3:$A,$B7),'Spendgo Tally'!$G3)
Does anyone know how this might be possible? Feel free to ask any clarifying questions.

I'm making a Google Sheet for our handyman business and need to collect totals on multiple client labor and material activities. I have a pretty decent sheet going, but, since we work for different clients on different days, with lots of other information in between, it would be nice if I could make a cell collect totals from any cell that has their name at the top of the column instead of chasing all over the sheet to get the client's grand total at the end of the week. Kind of like, if any cell in Row 3 has the word (name) Doe in it, return the value in row 10 of the corresponding column (where the labor for that day has been added up for that client on that day). It'd be great if it could add everything up for that client for the week every time their name is mentioned.

If you can standardize the column that the name will occur in you can use vlookup to do exactly what you want. You may need to use partial matches as well if you want only check for part of the name https://exceljet.net/formula/partial-match-with-vlookup.
My responses are timestamped as soon as anyone submits a survey. I wanted to count those timestamp monthwise.

I wanted to find out number of positive responses for a particular question (lets say Q1) for a particular month (lets say May)
Column G is not founded out based on the timestamp of Q1, I had asked the user the month, but that's not the correct way to do so, so I have stopped asking the user to enter the month.
First you have to overcome the fact that the timestamp isn't compatible with googles date format. No biggie,... luckily it looks like you have a fixed format ie DD/MM/YYYY. So you can use the LEFT and RIGHT formulas like so =right(left(a2,5),2) This will give you the month in text, ie 05.
Great.
Now for the harder stuff. If you have the newer google spreadsheets, you can simply use countifs to the effect of:
=countifs(arrayformula(right(left(A$2:A,5),2)),"=05",B$2:B,"=Positive")
For each month, replace the "=05" with the the date number you want. You could also make a month lookup chart for all months and questions so that you don't have to modify the formula for each month and quesiton. For this you replace the "=05" with =[cell number containing month number as text] (NOTE: for making a lookup key, you will have to pay close attention to the fact that you are getting TEXT in the formula above vice a number. There is a difference and they are not compatible as-is.)
Let's say you don't have the new google spreadsheets. Then you can use the old sumproduct() and if(). Yes, it is old. See the following:
=sumproduct(arrayformula(if(right(left(A$2:A,5),2)="05",1,0)),arrayformula(if(B$2:B="Positive",1,0)))
Note in both of these, you need to use arrayformula to convert the column with the timestamp into something useable. If you want to make this part easier by removing the parseing functions (LEFT() and RIGHT()) you need to change the timestamp format to be MM/DD/YYYY. Then you can plug in the the MONTH(DATE) formula and it will be done.
Then make a master sheet like so (note my formula has a "'" in it to make it visible for purposes of demonstration, you should remove it.):
Careful inspection might note that the count is wrong. That is because when I imported your timestamps, times like "02/06/2014 ..." were interpreted to mean "February 06" because of google's auto-formatting. In your sheet you will get the correct count using this formula, because of the way your timestamp is auto-populated.
HINT: To make the month a text you need to enter ="05" in the Month column
