We were using Outlook 2007 and upgraded to 365...now our application fails with redemption. I have installed the newest version...but it doesnt look enabled in Outlook???
I have tried going in and enabling it but only says use a url or xml file?

How exactly does the error manifest itself?

Convert .doc/.docx file to .htm in server, but no Microsoft Office Installed in server

Need to convert .doc/.docx file to .htm file to display on webpage in my MVC web application. This is working in my local system. There is no Microsoft Office Installed in the server and its restricted to install this in the server.
Is there a round-about solution for this? Can I convert .doc file to .htm file without having MS Office installed.
Any suggestions.. Really stuck with this for the past 4 days.. Cant find any solutions.
Thanks
Yes, you can. Take a look at the third-party components (for example, Aspose).
Also you may consider using the Open XML SDK. See Welcome to the Open XML SDK 2.5 for Office for more information. But it doesn't support binary files such doc etc.
Be aware, Microsoft does not currently recommend, and does not support, Automation of Microsoft Office applications from any unattended, non-interactive client application or component (including ASP, ASP.NET, DCOM, and NT Services), because Office may exhibit unstable behavior and/or deadlock when Office is run in this environment.
If you are building a solution that runs in a server-side context, you should try to use components that have been made safe for unattended execution. Or, you should try to find alternatives that allow at least part of the code to run client-side. If you use an Office application from a server-side solution, the application will lack many of the necessary capabilities to run successfully. Additionally, you will be taking risks with the stability of your overall solution.
You can read more about this in the Considerations for server-side Automation of Office article.

How can I get Microsoft Document Explorer, which is missing from my Delphi installation?

I installed my Delphi 2005 Personal but after running the IDE it gives me AV and some help bpl file error. I came to a conslusion that this occurs because somehow I don't have installed Microsoft Document Explorer.
Then my question is: where can I download Microsoft Document Explorer? I can't find any links myself. I think it comes with Visual Studio but I don't want to install it only to have a help system in Delphi.
Update
When installing Delphi I did a certain trick to not install .NET 1.0 stuff and I did wrong. There was the Microsoft Document Explorer in one of these packages. Just had to install the .NET SDK.

Afaik it is part of MSDN, but that is an huge download:
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=20955
The Embarcadero FTP server might also be a smart location to check.
I found same problem when trying to install devExpress component for Delphi 2010. Problem was solved when reinstalling the help build.

Is the Silverlight 4 SDK download corrupted?

I downloaded the Silverlight 4 SDK (not the Beta) from the following Microsoft site.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=55B44DA3-E5DE-4D2A-8EAF-1155CA6B3207&displaylang=en
However, when I try to run the file, it says "File is corrupt".
Has anyone else also faced this issue?
Is there any other site from which I can download the SDK?
Please let me know...
TIA,
Sudeep
That link doesn't work for me at all.
This is the link I think you want to use Microsoft Silverlight 4 Tools for Visual Studio 2010
Go here and use the web platform installer perhaps: http://www.silverlight.net/getstarted/

Not able to create Web application in Visual studio 2003

I am not able to create new web application through Visual studio 2003. when i am trying to create web application i am getting an error like "Cannot find the components for communicating with the FrontPage server extensions". Bu at the same time i can create windows application.
Please help me on this...
I would check you definately have Front-Page extensions installed on your web server. In the control panel go to Add/Remove Programs and switch to the Add/Remove Windows Components. Double click Internet Information Services (IIS) and you will see Front Page Server Extensions listed. It should be checked, if not then check it and accept changes, you will need your install media to complete the update unless they were copied to your hard drive.
You could try reinstalling Visual Studio 2003. It sounds like some DLLs might have disappeared.
I have uninstalled both IIS and VS2003 and then installed IIS followed by VS 2003...
now it is working fine..
Problem was because of i installed VS2003 first and then IIS...
so make sure we have to insatll IIS first..
Thanks
