I downloaded the Silverlight 4 SDK (not the Beta) from the following Microsoft site.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=55B44DA3-E5DE-4D2A-8EAF-1155CA6B3207&displaylang=en
However, when I try to run the file, it says "File is corrupt".
Has anyone else also faced this issue?
Is there any other site from which I can download the SDK?
Please let me know...
TIA,
Sudeep
That link doesn't work for me at all.
This is the link I think you want to use Microsoft Silverlight 4 Tools for Visual Studio 2010
Go here and use the web platform installer perhaps: http://www.silverlight.net/getstarted/

I want to try out NoSql Database, and based on some articles RavenDb is highly recommended for .Net. Now I cant even start because I cant install RavenDb.Database (v3.0.30000) on my Web project. Im not sure if the issue is in Nuget.
Im using the below tools if it matters.
.Net 4.5.2
ASP MVC 5 (empty template/no package added yet)
Visual Studio 2015
Yes, this is a nuget issue.
can you try this using the command line client?
Alternatively, just download the ravendb zip from our site
https://www.nuget.org/packages/RavenDB.Client/3.0.30000
find your version and download it from the menu on the left, hope this will be fixed
I installed my Delphi 2005 Personal but after running the IDE it gives me AV and some help bpl file error. I came to a conslusion that this occurs because somehow I don't have installed Microsoft Document Explorer.
Then my question is: where can I download Microsoft Document Explorer? I can't find any links myself. I think it comes with Visual Studio but I don't want to install it only to have a help system in Delphi.
Update
When installing Delphi I did a certain trick to not install .NET 1.0 stuff and I did wrong. There was the Microsoft Document Explorer in one of these packages. Just had to install the .NET SDK.

Afaik it is part of MSDN, but that is an huge download:

The Embarcadero FTP server might also be a smart location to check.
I found same problem when trying to install devExpress component for Delphi 2010. Problem was solved when reinstalling the help build.
I'm using Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and I after searching for XNA Download on google, I found this page:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/xna/archive/2010/09/16/xna-game-studio-4-0-available-for-download.aspx
Following the link there, I get to this page:
http://create.msdn.com/en-US/SiteError.aspx?404;aspx&404;http://create.msdn.com:80/launchcenter?lc=1033
So this is kind of confusing for someone starting out.
What is the latest release version of XNA I can use for PC/WP7 game development?
Where can I find the installer to download it?
I don't need a bootstrapper to download Visual Studio for me, as I already has the IDE installed. Thank you!
Here: Microsoft XNA Game Studio 4.0 download.
Also see Windows Phone Developer Tools: Offline ISO Image.
But note that the Web Installer available here will only download and install what you need. Since you already have Visual Studio, it will just integrate itself nicely.
The latest version is XNA 4.0. The bootstrapper is a smart installer and only installs the components you are missing. For example if you have Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate then it is not going to install the Express version as well. It also includes a Windows Phone emulator if you are interested in that. And here's the direct link to the installer.
I downloaded Spark 1.1 release from http://sparkviewengine.codeplex.com/releases/view/27601 and cannot find the msi package for Visual Studio integration promised in docs.
Can anyone explain why?
For VS2008 support, I'm not sure why it's not included in the latest downloads on codeplex, but you can still get the .msi from the download on spark downloads page.
For VS2010, the answer is a little bit more complicated. The short version though is that the visual studio editor changed drastically in VS2010 and the way the old plug-in was providing intellisence is no longer appropriate.
I was able to get the msi installed and working from 1.0.39935.0 with 1.1. I had to close and re-open VS and a few pages.
I'm using VS 2008 with SP1, on WinXP Pro, and I successfully installed the MVC package from Microsoft. I start a new project, select the MVC web project type, and give it a name and folder. When I press go it hangs forever.
The "ProjectName" folder is created, but nothing else is there.
I can create and open all my other projects without any issues.
Any ideas what's causing this issue? I can't try the MVC framework if I can't create a project!
If you use Process Monitor & Process Explorer, you can probably find out what VS is waiting for.

I had a similar issue: Instead of uninstalling Visual Studio add-ons I tried the fix.
I found this blog post form the VS team:
http://blogs.msdn.com/webdevtools/archive/2009/03/03/hotfix-available-for-asp-net-mvc-crashes-with-azure-power-commands-resharper.aspx
that points to a fix:

It Worked!
Give a try to ASP.NET MVC 2 Preview 2.
