When I try to integrate WeChat Login in my iOS app using swift language, I am getting an error message on the simulator screen.
I am following integration steps from this link.
I also have a query about the universal link which is needed for register app in AppDelegate like:
WXApi.registerApp("-------I HAVE IT-----", universalLink: "")
what should I pass in universalLink?
https://developers.weixin.qq.com/doc/oplatform/Mobile_App/Access_Guide/iOS.html
You should configure your own universal link to access to your application.

I am trying to open a group page in Workplace by Facebook app, unfortunately I did not find any custom URL scheme to do it like for the Facebook app.
Does anyone have more information about the custom url schema that can be sent to the Workplace by Facebook app for iPhone?
I recently had the same issue and found out that the main url scheme for Workplace is fbatwork.
To open the app straight to a group, the only working format on iOS seems to be
fbatwork://group?id=your-group-id
There are also a few more available, but I don't know exactly what's their purpose: fbatworksso, fbatworksignup, fbatworkssoreauth, fb-work-emailless
I have 2 iOS applications, using URL Scheme I am able to open app B through A like I have created URL Scheme in B and using OpenURL calling it from application B. Also, I am able to pass the data.
But what I am looking for, is there a way to move back to application A on some specific event.
In B I am getting all details about A in sourceApplication but how to move back?
Do we need to create URL Scheme for both of the apps for communicating with each other? or is there any way to invoke sourceApplication and move back?
Issue 1
in case of Facebook SDK, I create URL Scheme for my app because once authentication is done I want Facebook SDK to call my app that right but I didn't register my app scheme in Facebook SDK info.plist. how does it work?
Issue 2
I have tried on Simulator and device both. if I call canOpenURL it gives me an error
-canOpenURL: failed for URL: "openb://" - error: "This app is not allowed to query for scheme openb"
But If I directly call UIApplication.shared.open it launches the application successfully.
Any leads here?
If you want to invoke iOS application from another iOS app URL Scheme is the way. A URL scheme lets you communicate with other apps through a protocol that you define. To communicate with an app that implements such a scheme, you must create an appropriately formatted URL and ask the system to open it. To implement support for a custom scheme, you must declare support for the scheme and handle incoming URLs that use the scheme.
How to move back or open sourceApplication?
To achieve this you have to create URL Scheme for both of the application.
Issue 1 and 2
Before iOS 8, everyone was using canOpenURL for checking whether this URL is exist for not and if yes openURL for invoking the application. But concern came when few developers/apps started using it to track the user iPhone (what all application is installed) for advertising purposes etc. That's why Apple came up with the solution called URL Scheme Whitelist.
So according to that, if you want to use canOpenURL you have to whitelist the URL Scheme otherwise it will through an error like error: This app is not allowed to query for scheme and if you want to open the application use openURL directly.
Yes it broke lots of SDKs login flow but it makes sense.
For more information, canOpenURL(_:)
How to Open an iOS App using Firebase Dynamic Links and Pass or get Parameters To an App Via Custom URL Scheme in iOS(swift)?
for eg :- https://q3tyj.app.goo.gl/abcd
My URL Scheme is ‘q3tyj.app.goo.gl’ in iOS app in Url Types.
If I type q3tyj.app.goo.gl in safari, I am able to open the application. But if I type q3tyj.app.goo.gl with some extra parameter like https://q3tyj.app.goo.gl/abcd in safari, , I am not able to open the application.
please also explain me how to get “link” parameter (which associated with dynamic link) from dynamic link in iOS app ( Swift ) .
I followed steps which were mentioned in Firebase.google.com for iOS ( Swift ).but its not working.
Thanks,
Nirav Virpara
It's hard to know exactly where your error is, but a few things to help you debug:
If you go to https://q3tyj.app.goo.gl/apple-app-site-association, you should see some JSON that points to your app. If you don't see this, make sure you've entered your team ID and your App Store ID in the project settings in the Firebase console
Make sure you're using your Bundle ID, not the shortlink domain, as your custom URL scheme in Xcode
Make sure you've enabled Associated Domains in the Capabilities tab of your Xcode project, and your domain looks like applinks:q3tyj.app.goo.gl
Universal Links (and, therefore, Dynamic Links) generally don't work if you type them directly into the Safari address bar. Instead, try typing the URL into an app like Notes and then clicking on them from there.
Good luck!
If you type https://q3tyj.app.goo.gl/apple-app-site-association this link in your browser and check, you will end up seeing a json, meaning your apple-app-site-association is correctly configured on your google website. However, you need to make sure that teamid in your google console or appid is correct.
When trying to use Call To Action button into facebook to add "Use Application" button on my page, it asks for my ios app link but I don't know what to fill there. I've tried many things without success :
myAppName://
myBundleId://
myStoreId://
Do you know how to build that app link please ?
Thanks in advance.
The Facebook documentation on App Links should help you with your problem:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/applinks
Basically you need to setup a URL that has <meta> HTML content which Facebook uses to identify your app and deep link to it. You will need to configure for deep linking in your app too.
Hi I have a requirement in my app. From my ios Application(myapp),i share a link to facebook. Then I opened up my facebook account in browser or Facebook application and clicked the link, link should open in myapp if myapp is installed in the device otherwise link should open in browser. How can I achieve this ? Please suggest me step by step. Thanks in advance for your consideration and help.
I am not sure if this is possible. I have looked at various questions including
Is it possible to register a http+domain-based URL Scheme for iPhone apps, like YouTube and Maps?
as I am sure you might have already done but these questions target their own app, mainly web app, but you want that behavior to occur from an app that is not yours like twitter or facebook. But what you can do is show them two links on facebook/twitter, if they have installed press link 1 and if they want to install, press link 2 and you can pass parameters in link 1 as you might already know.
I will also keep checking answer of this question if some one comes and gives a better solution.
There is an option called custom URL scheme in iOS. It will help you to create a URL scheme which identifies your application. You can post link with this URL scheme and when you tap on this link on your iOS device it will open up your mobile app. Please see the link below to know how to setup this.
Custom URL Scheme in iOS
This is called 'deep URL linking'. Facebook have built a service called 'App Links', which seems pretty cool.
