Heroku buliid fails on Bundler version regardless of which is installed - ruby-on-rails

I can't seem to configure my rails app properly. I had a perfectly working rails app deployed on Heroku. I added the datadog buildpack and then started getting the following build error:
remote: ! You must use Bundler 2 or greater with this lockfile.
After removing my Gemfile.lock and reinstalling and making sure bunder version was > 2.0, I then started getting another build error. This time it was that the bundler version my project needs is < 2:
remote: Bundler Output: Activating bundler (< 2) failed:
remote: Could not find 'bundler' (1.17.3) required by your /tmp/build_3b256cc6024c5dcfd1bd0d030688678a/Gemfile.lock.

remote: To install the missing version, run `gem install bundler:1.17.3`
remote: Checked in 'GEM_PATH=vendor/bundle/ruby/2.5.0', execute `gem env` for more information
remote:

remote:
remote: !
remote: ! Failed to install gems via Bundler.

remote: ! Push failed
remote: Verifying deploy...
I'm not sure how to move forward debugging this error. I don't know how to access the /tmp/build folder and I'm not sure what I would do if I did.
Please any direction or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I've already tried pushing to heroku master with various versions of bundler. There is always a problem with the build. I feel like there are multiple areas where bundler is required in the build and in the actual project, and that they require different versions, but I don't know how to find them.

I'd like to be able to find where the areas are in my code that are requiring different versions of bundler. Or be able to circumvent the issue with a different gem. If anyone can help me get the Heroku build to work I would be very grateful.

Is there a way to fix Gem::LoadError in Elastic Beanstalk

I'm relatively new to Elastic Beanstalk thus was hoping for some advice. After deploying the RoR app into EB - Puma with Ruby 2.6 running on 64bit Amazon Linux, When I 'Go to environment' link it doesn't render my app. and the health status despite being deployed successfully via CLI change to Degraded with the message below:
50.0 % of the requests to the ELB are failing with HTTP 5xx. Insufficient request rate (1.0 requests/min) to determine application health (5 minutes ago)
After checking my logs I was able to locate Gem::LoadError
/opt/rubies/ruby-2.6.6/lib/ruby/site_ruby/2.6.0/bundler/runtime.rb:312:in `check_for_activated_spec!': You have already activated rack 1.6.8, but your Gemfile requires rack 2.2.3. Prepending `bundle exec` to your command may solve this. (Gem::LoadError)

Any ideas what can cause the issue?
Possibly, unless there are any other problems, locking rack to 1.6.8 in your Gemfile will solve the problem.
I'm using Elastic Beanstalk in a project myself and I often regret this choice. Every time there's a platform update, I need to lock the nio4r gem to a specific version required for that platform. Also puma. It's a hassle.
As you can see others who encounter this problem too, we're not alone ;)
E.g. https://forums.aws.amazon.com/thread.jspa?messageID=957426.
I haven't found a better solution so far but then again I haven't invested a whole lot of time trying to. Let me know if you do ;)

I stumbled upon this page (https://forum.theodinproject.com/t/heroku-installfest/28/2) which
suggested the steps below:
In your Gemfile, change:
gem 'pg'
to
gem 'pg', '~> 0.20.0'
Delete the file called Gemfile.lock
Run bundle install --without production
Run git commit -am "add version to pg"
Run git push Heroku master
Above steps solved my problem but now I'm getting a similar error again

Bundler attempted to update actionpack but its version stayed the same
Bundle updated!
Gems in the group production were not installed.
EDIT: I think that somehow the fault was due to installing ruby via apt-get so I removed it and installed ruby all over again using rvm and it worked out!!!!!
Thanks for your suggestions..

An error occurred while installing sassc (2.2.1), and Bundler cannot continue.
Make sure that `gem install sassc -v '2.2.1' --source 'https://rubygems.org/'`
succeeds before bundling.
In Gemfile:
rails_admin was resolved to 2.0.2, which depends on
sassc-rails was resolved to 2.1.2, which depends on
sassc
I have done gem install sassc -v '2.2.1' --source 'https://rubygems.org/' as suggested but it has no effect. I don't know what is causing this error as i already have the gem file installed with mentioned version above.

Need a help to fix this.
I got the same error today.
My server did not have enough RAM to compile the sassc gem. I raised the RAM from 256 to 512 MB and it worked.

Bundler could not find compatible versions for gem "mimemagic"

So I am trying to install paperclip, image magick and mimemagic.
I successfully installed imagemagic.
Upon installing paperclip, it loops the error to the ff:
Bundler could not find compatible versions for gem "mimemagic":
In snapshot (Gemfile.lock):
mimemagic (= 0.3.3)
In Gemfile:
rails (~> 5.2.4) was resolved to 5.2.4, which depends on
activestorage (= 5.2.4) was resolved to 5.2.4, which depends on
marcel (~> 0.3.1) was resolved to 0.3.3, which depends on
mimemagic (~> 0.3.2)
paperclip (~> 4.3, >= 4.3.6) was resolved to 4.3.7, which depends on
mimemagic (= 0.3.0)
Running `bundle update` will rebuild your snapshot from scratch, using only
the gems in your Gemfile, which may resolve the conflict.
Then if I run bundle update:
Bundler could not find compatible versions for gem "mimemagic":
In Gemfile:
mimemagic (~> 0.3.1)
paperclip (~> 4.3, >= 4.3.6) was resolved to 4.3.7, which depends on

RUBY VERSION
ruby 2.6.0p0
BUNDLED WITH
1.17.3
I am pretty sure that the imagemagick is installed cause when i run magick -version it show the version of the app. I am really thinking how to solve this. Any idea how to solve this problem?
Bundler is not able to resolve the dependencies because 'mimemagic' gem's version is a conflict between rails and paperclip gems.
As you can see in the logs, rails v5 requires mimemagic to be in v0.3.2 and paperclip v4 requires mimemagic to be in v0.3.0.
To solve this case take either of the two approaches below:
upgrade paperclip to higher version which supports mimemagic v0.3.2
downgrade the rails version to support mimemagic v0.3.0
Also explicitly you specified in your Gemfile that the mimemagic version to be ~> 0.3.1 which doesn't satisfy either rails or paperclip. As long as it is not intentional for any other purpose, it can be changed/removed accordingly.

I tried many suggestions on stackoverflow for similar errors. None of them wored for me.
Note:
I have removed turbolinks completely from my rails app . (from
application.js and from gemfile). In between , I did not commit a
gemlock file . But later I have done all the solution out there and
solved the gemlock issue.
Please help me in this .
Thanks in advance.
Run bundle install then commit the generated Gemfile.lock to the repo, then do the push to heroku
If problem persists just bundle install and then remove Gemfile.lock file and then push to heroku.
I was new to heroku and did not have much knowledge about it.
Tried with the suggestons from #djmayank and #neydroid , still my app did get pushed to heroku.
Finally I found that it was a very small mistake that took my hours on this issue. So in addition to the other solutions , the below newbie mistake I shall mention here.
I had a master branch and a development branch on git . I tried to push to heroku master from the git development branch .It failed. I then tried to push to heroku development from git development branch , but that took me nowhere and only a webpage saying
"welcome to heroku"
was shown.
Then when I switched to git master branch and pushed to heroku master, everything worked fine.
Hope this helps someone out there.
Thanks for your time and help !
