Neo4j goes off on CentoOS server - neo4j

My neo4j stops by itself after some time on my Godaddy CentOS server. I have to run neo4j start before it come up again.

I do not know if godaddy server go to sleep mode after some inactivity time but you could try to enable the service to start it when the server spin up again.
systemctl enable neo4j
this command might need sudo permission

Influxdb server not listening on 8086

I started the influxdb. The meta server is getting started at 8088 and I am seeing a series of [wal] logs. When I try to connect with the server using influx command it throws
Failed to connect to http://localhost:8086
Please check your connection settings and ensure 'influxd' is running.
The server is running in the background. What could be the reason ? I have been writing continuously and then I restarted my server. After restarting I am not able to connect to the server. I also tried connecting after an hour of restarting to make sure it was not due to some startup tasks.
What could be the reason for this ?
The db had huge number of series and it took more than 2 hours for the meta server to be up fully. Later, the http listener was up after the initial start tasks.

neo4j server is not restarting or stopping

I am getting the following errors and I dont know how to restart the server .I tried multiple times but I get the same error all the time. How can I stop and restart the server.I really appreciate any help.
./bin/neo4j start
displays:
/usr/local/neo4j/data/log/console.log: Permission denied
process [11825]... waiting for server to be ready.. Failed to start within 120 seconds.
Neo4j Server may have failed to start, please check the logs.
sudo ./bin/neo4j start
displays:
Another server-process is running with [ST=ESTABLISHED], cannot start a new one. Exiting.
The exception you get is because another server is running.
Also, there is another exception, you don't have write access in the folder for the logs.
Check if http://localhost:7474 is displaying the neo4j web browser.
If yes, locate the location of the running database :
Then go to the location and stop the db, eg based on the image :
cd /Users/cw/_graphs/tests
./bin/neo4j stop
If it is not working, try to kill the process :
sudo htop
kill -9 10522
And try to run your new database. And make sure you have the right permissions for the stores and logs.

neo4j community edition 2.1.6 server process running even after server stop command executed

I know at least a few of us had this issue come up...I am issuing the command to start the server and yet it tells me that a server process is still running at 17922...I then try the following:
./bin/neo4j status
And it tells me: "Neo4j Server is not running"
Then I issue the command to start a new server: ./bin/neo4j start
and I get the following:
Another server-process is running with [17922], cannot start a new one. Exiting.
Not looking to run multiple Neo4J servers, so I'd like to stop whatever is running in the background.
Seems the process is not nicely responding for whatever reason. You might want to inspect the log files (data/log/* and data/graph.db/messages.log) to get more insight.
To terminate the process use kill 17922. If that does not help, kill -9 17922.

Rails server will not stop and even if it is running it is not working

I am new to Ruby on Rails, but I managed to install it using the RailsInstaller and I am using Aptana Studio 3 as a text editor. I am on a Windows 7 x64.
Last week I managed to create a simple Hello world project, and it worked as it should when starting and stopping the rails server. To start the server I used the command rails server and to stop it I used CTRL+C.
Somehow, this week, when I'm trying to start the server it says "A server is already running". But, when I go to the correct page in a web browser it doesn't work. I get the error "Google Chrome could not connect to localhost:3010". So, this makes it seem like the server is not working, even though it supposedly is running.
So, I then try to stop the server from running, but CTRL+C doesn't seem to do anything. It doesn't give any kind of message at all when I input that, it just skips to a new line in the terminal window.
the standard port is 3000.
You can kill the server in the task manager and start it from new..
There is probably a rails process still running but bugged out/crashed. Try looking at the processes in the windows task manager to for a rails process, and cancel it. Additionally you can start a rails process on a different port with rails server -p PORT

Problem stopping/starting MySQL Workbench

I've installed the MySQL workbench version 5.2.34 and having problems creating a local connection. I'm getting an error saying "Can't Connect to MySQL Server on 127.0.0.1'(10061)" when i try connecting to Localhost on Port 3306. I tried restarting the service but i don't have the option to stop/start/pause or resume using Windows 7. The status is just set to "starting". I also tried "net stop mysql" from the command line in DOS but get the following error: "The service is starting or stopping. Please try again later"
Does anyone know if this is another bug in the Workbench or is there a quick solution to get around this?
You can restart mysql from services. Also, check error log (by default, on Windows 7 machine it's under ...ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server [version]\data
Sounds like a problem with MySQL itself starting up. You may have to kill the mysqld process if nothing else gets it into a started or stopped state, and then investigate the .err logs in your data directory.
This solution uses the window's mysql installer which you have used to install your MySQL.
Even though this post is very old, I have wasted around 2 hours and hence want to post this so that it can save someone else's time.
I have tried every other way of restartring the service, but mysql service just wont start.
Start your windows mysql installer. For me it was "mysql-installer-community-8.0.20.0"
Then remove/uninstall the SQL Server and remove all configurations
Manually delete the SQL Server folder from "C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 8.0."
Start your mysql installer again and install the SQL Server again
You can check now that the MySqL Server has started.
