Integration of TFS and Mantis - tfs

In our company there exist in different teams two different systems to manage the issues: Mantis and TFS. Now we have a project where a team must handle changes in both systems.
Is there a programm or a tool where tickets of TFS and Mantis can be viewed. At best there is the posibility to define relations between the tickets and prioritize them independently of the system the tickets come from.

I didn't see there is any exist tool to integrate TFS and Mantis. But there is a source control integration plugin framework for MantisBT, which supports for Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket, Gitweb, Cgit, Subversion, Mercurial, etc. You could refer to the plugin and implement TFS integration:
https://github.com/mantisbt-plugins/source-integration
Or you can use Mantis Bug Tracker REST API and TFS REST API to program your own tool.

Adding TFS add-in into Teams

We have TFS 2015 (on-premise) and Microsoft Teams in the cloud.
I am trying to find the TFS plug-in (all I can see is Azure DevOps) and want to be able to show TFS information inside of Teams.
I see lots of articles on how this use to work? But can't find it in my list of plugins to add into the system.
Is there something we need to do at a server level?
Thanks
There is an official extension-- Microsoft Teams Integration.
With using this, you are able to see activity about your Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server projects directly in your Microsoft Teams channel, for example:
Work item updates
Pull requests
Code commits
Builds
Release deployments and approvals
Work item updates
Azure DevOps Kanban board
However, as the link declare clearly, it only work with Team Foundation Server 2017 Update 2 and above. It's not able to do this with TFS2015. You need to upgrade your TFS version. With higher version, you could also get more released new features in TFS.

TFS With Jira - Any tools?

I'm looking at integrating TFS with JIRA. I Want to run my test cases in TFS but when i raise bugs i want them to automatically update on the JIRA board. Is there anything out there that can make this possible?
Also would it automatically block the test case and link the bug in JIRA with it?
There is no such kind of build in feature or extension. However, you could raise bugs in TFS/Azure DevOps first when you run your test cases. Then synchronize your bugs with issues in Jira. It's not able to directly link the bug in JIRA with TFS test cases.
You could choose to use TFS4JIRA Azure DevOps integration.
TFS4JIRA is migration, integration and synchronization tool, which
bridges TFS / Azure DevOps and Jira (Server/DC/Cloud). Integrate
Azure DevOps with TFS4JIRA, to view your project or issue-associated
Azure DevOps check-ins in Jira, as well as synchronize changes made to
the issues and integrate Azure Jira work items.
Create your individual TFS4JIRA sync profiles and define the project collections which you want to work with.
Map your issue types, work item types, fields, values.
Hierarchy and subtasks synchronisation supported.
Enable your profile and, voila! – the synchronizer is making sure that Jira and Azure DevOps exchange information in the background.
If you already have some bug/issue work items in JIRA and want to import them to TFS on-premise server. There is an extension named Jira to Azure DevOps/TFS work item migration tool. It is used to Azure DevOps work item migration tool lets you export data from Jira and import it as work items in Azure DevOps or Microsoft Team Foundation Server. Here is the download page.

Merge from VisualStudio Online to local TFS and back?

Have an in house TFS server that employees use (using TFVC) and third-party contractors that are using VisualStudio Team Services (aka Visual Studio Online or VSO) (also using TFVC). Need to keep the two synced; projects in VSO get merges from check-ins from TFS and TFS get merges from VSO. The TFS instance has many dozen projects and the VSO instance has two or three of those in TFS.
Any suggestions appreciated.
While there are a few tools that can "sync" between different TFVC instances, it's very hard to keep the flow going and you often run into merge conflicts and other problems. The TFS Integration tools were an official solution from Microsoft, but those have been deprecated.
Given that you're on TFS 2017 and VSTS, I'd highly recommend switching to Git repositories. Git was made to handle scenarios like these, to have multiple hosts that need to share the history and from which you need to be able to sync sources across.
Both TFS 2017 and VSTS can host the repository for you and it's relatively easy to setup CI builds that sync the sources between branches on both instances to trigger pull requests.

How to integrate TFS 2015 and VSTS

We need to synchronize several projects hosted on Visual Studio Team Services with our on-promise TFS 2015 Update 2. The ultimate goal of TFS is to have CI/CD happening within company for all external projects. However, we don't want to interrupt developers for whom using VSTS will be better choice then TFS.
However, I can't find any solution for TFS to use VSTS as a repository, though TFS can use Git. Maybe, I should look differently on this case. Does anyone know any possible solution?
You'll need tools to migrate between on-premise TFS and VSTS, like:
TFS Integration Tools
OpsHub Visual Studio Online Migration Utility
A useful blog for your reference.
I suspect that setting this up is going to be tricky or it's going to cost you.
The free OpsHub migration utility isn't going to help you in this scenario so you're looking at a commercial product like :
TaskTop Sync or OpsHub Integration Manager
but I haven't used them in this scenario so can't comment on either.
TFS Integration tools would probably do the job but you've got some work to do to get them working and it's not pretty. I have them setup at the minute to sync Work Items from TFS 2015 to VSTS for testing purposes and it works okay. My blog on setting them up with VSTS/2015 is here
Would you not consider doing your CI/CD directly from VSTS rather than an on-premise TFS? You could still have the build/release agent running on-prem and you could lock down permissions for your external devs so you control all the build and releases and any other projects.
Git would be a simpler way of merging code between VSTS and TFS2015 but that assumes you are using Git on your 2015 projects and I believe it would be manual process for someone to do this (someone may be able to comment on a way to make this work)

TFS and Mantis Integration

I'd like to know if it's possible (and how, if anyone has ever done it before) to have Mantis Bug Tracker "tickets" automatically imported/transformed into TFS work items.
We use mantis to keep track of development and TFS as a Repo. Every check-in made to TFS must be associated with one work item. Right now, these two systems are not integrated which causes, for example, that the ticket 100 is relative to the work item 497 without no way of knowing that one is relative to the other.
I've looked at TFS Integration Tools but was unable to install it for some reason at this time.
So, how can I have an automation process that "imports" Mantis tickets into TFS work items automatically? Is this even possible?
There is a plugin for source integration which supports Git, SVN and Mercurial (experimental).
https://github.com/mantisbt-plugins/source-integration
I am not aware that there is something similar avalaible for TFS, but it should be no big problem to implement TFS integration based on the framework which is offered by the plugin.
