how to make view controller similar like fragment in android for ios - ios

I am very new in iOS development and wanna make design similar to my Android app.
below is the Image of Android App that I wanna replicate in iOS.
any help, source or reference would be appreciated.
Description:
Screen 1 : Screen one is main page with filter list on top (blue patch)
Screen 2 : By tapping change filter whole screen slides down and behind screen get visible (which holds filter)
Screen 3 : Highlighted part changes with other page on basis of menu selection.
sorry for bad English, but i hope you guys understand.
Thank you in advance

You can have two view controller screen(One Main Screen and another for Filter). There is no concept of fragments. What I prefer I used to have xib for reusable view and storyboard for creating activity like your Android. Code for the same will be done in ViewController.

How does the Air BnB achieve the user menu?

Using the air bnb app, if you click on the far right icon on the tab menu, it opens a user menu which slides in from the right over the top but only takes up half of the screen. The rest of the screen below is dimmed.
How can this be implemented? Does it require a custom segue or view controller container?
I have seen a similar feature to what your describing done before using a modal segue that instantiates a new view with a partially transparent background. You have given a vague question so I can't really provide a specific answer. Comment if you need more info.
Here is the app I saw it in, from a tutorial.

How to create a popup window in Xcode Swift?

I have an iOS info app. The main screen of the app consists of rows of icons. I want that after tap on certain icon card with information appears and background blurs. To close the card I need to swipe up or down. It is very similar to Instagram's imageviewer.
Please help me create that.
P.S. This is my first project so please keep this in mind when you going to describe the method.
It should look like this
The answer to your question is probably hidden beneath the layers of how you can segue between the scenes of a storyboard. First, you create a scene like this in the storyboard and use some third party libraries to present it as a 'pop-up'. It is not possible for you to do that natively as Apple has not added any segue style showing the scene like a pop-up on the iPhone screens (On iPad it's possible - check how Apple presents choose Wi-fi network in Settings). For that purpose, you can use BlurryModalSegue or CNPPopupController to perform such operations.
Thank You!

Sidebar menu with uitableview in swift for ios

I'm new into ios development. I'm trying to implement a small contact manager application. I'm following a tutorial from this link http://www.kaleidosblog.com/swift-side-menu-tutorial-how-to-create-a-custom-side-menu-in-ios and I followed many, but which didn't satisfy my requirements. What I'm trying to achieve is having a sidebar menu, and have a table view as my main view. Most of the examples showed how to use them with a normal view controller. A clear example is how BBM works on iphone, when you tap more or the sidebar button. From the provided link, is there anywhere to change the initial view to table view? I've tried but it wasn't successful. I'll appreciate any help, My application as to be submitted soon. Thanks.
You can use this link for side bar menu using UITablView

iOS animation flip book cover and ease up

I have a scroll view, and few buttons/images there. on clicking I would like such animation :
(image opens like )book cover opens, and related view controller opens with ease in animation and gets full screen.
Any thoughts ?
Something similar happening in cook app
Link of cook app : https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cook/id687560846?mt=8
Edit : I have added animation, gif will run uninterrupted once completely loaded.
Might I suggest iBooksOpen, a library that provides a book opening animation. It's pretty lightweight and should meet your needs.
(Only drawback: it opens a single page to the whole screen, but you could adapt the geometry if you wanted a page-folding-open effect.)

use multiple views in an application

I am new to Iphone programming. So please don't mind if I ask some basic questions.
I want to develop an application where the landing screen will be a login screen and after login application should display a new screen with the list of available categories. And on selecting any category a new screen should appear with the information related to the selected category.
Basically I want to display different screens in the applications and my confusion is how can I make different screens with one .xib file? or should I use different .xib files for each screen. If I use different .xib files for each screen then how should I navigate to different screens.
Please help in solving this confusion.
Thanks in advance
Gaurav
You should definitely use different .xib's for each view. You will end up having a standard view, a table view (probably programatically wrapped in a navigation controller) and a standard view, respectively. Each will also have their own class.
You navigate to different screens by programmatically initializing them. The condition on which they are created varies from screen to screen. For example, your login screen will only create and load a table view for the categories after a successful login. The category screen will only create a detail screen when the user touches a category in the table.
I think your best bet is to pick up an iPhone programming book and do the first few chapters until you feel comfortable with the basics of XCode. The Apple documentation usually contains more than you really need to know and by the sounds of it, you just want to jump in and make a few simple apps.
After that, you can look at the Apple sample code here: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/navigation/index.html#section=Resource%20Types&topic=Sample%20Code
