Visual Studio 2017 Window 10. All of a sudden cannot connect to MAc

I've not touched the Mac.
Nothing has changed IOS wise on my Visual Studio.
However, all of a sudden 2 days ago when I go to pair to Mac it fails wit the message........
"The Mon version isntalled on the Mac may not be compatible with this version of Visual Studio. Would you like us to install Mono '5.18' for you?. This will overwrite any existing Mono installations on the Mac."
Now as I have said, nothing on these 2 machines has changed as far as I know.
If I look at the logs, I see thye following lines......amongst others...
Xamarin.Messaging.Integration.State.ServerStateContext|Information|0|Checking Mono installation...
Xamarin.Messaging.Ssh.SshCommandRunner|Verbose|0|Executing SSH command 'printenv HOME'...
Xamarin.Messaging.Ssh.SshCommandRunner|Verbose|0|Executing SSH command **'which mono64'...
Xamarin.Messaging.Ssh.SshCommandRunner|Warning|0|Failed to execute 'which mono64': ExitStatus = 1**
Xamarin.Messaging.Ssh.SshCommandRunner|Verbose|0|Executing SSH command 'which /Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/Current/bin/mono64'...
**Xamarin.Messaging.Ssh.SshCommands|Information|0|A valid Mono installation has been found at '/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/Current/bin/mono64'**
Xamarin.Messaging.Ssh.SshCommandRunner|Verbose|0|Executing SSH command '/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/Current/bin/mono64
What could be my issue? Is it the "Failed to execute 'which mono64'" part that is giving me my problems.
I don't want to update the Mac version of Mono if I can help it.
HELP.
I admit I am useless on a Mac bu the fact is nothing has changed that I am aware of so I 'm baffled as to why all of a sudden I cannot connect to the Mac.

I have windows XP machine and visual studio 2005 and 2010 are installed on it, which are running fine.

Do I need to uninstall all higher versions of Visual Studio just to reinstall VS 2003 successfully?

I have Visual Studio 2003, 2005 and 2008 installed on my machine + my OS is Windows 7.
Both 2005 and 2008 are working properly except for 2003.
I have a project that still needs to be compiled in VS 2003. I have setup-ed it in IIS7 and it is working fine but when opening it in VS2003 it prompts me...
"Visual Studio .Net cannot create or open the application. The likeliest problem is that the required components are not installed on the local Web server. Run Visual Studio .net setup and add the web development component."
I even tried to repair it but still did not work.
Are there any solutions or should I really uninstall the other VS?

Windows Identiy foundation redistributable failed on Vista Home Premium edition

Yesterday it was announed that WIF - Windows Identity Foundation SDK RC was released in public domain. I tried installing the msu file from MSDN on my PC which has Home Premium edition of Vista and it failed? Microsoft mentions that Vista is supported but does not mention any versions of Vista on the site...Does anyone have similar problems??
I have the exact same issue on a Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition box. I had the WIF Beta 2 uninstalled prior to installing the RC. Any chance that the .msu is confused with something that is left behind by the B2 uninstall script.

Update...
Found a thread on MS Geneva forum that talks about needing SP2 for WS 2008 and Vista. Just finished installing the RC.
Download link - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=a4dd31d5-f907-4406-9012-a5c3199ea2b3&displaylang=en
Good luck.
I faced similar problem on Windows 2008 Server. MSU files failed saying "The update does not apply to your computer". Also prior to installing Windows Identity Foundation SDK installation asked for "Windows Identity Foundation Runtime". From where I can get "Windows Identity Foundation Runtime"?
You can download the WIF runtime for Vista/W2K8(win6) and Win7/W2K8R2(win6.1) (for x86 and x64 systems), as well as the SDK, from the MSDN Evaluation Center.
If you want the SDK, you have to install the runtime before the SDK.
