iOS 32-bit support gone in latest upload - ios

Since my latest update in the App Store, customers with older iPads are complaining that the app doesn't support their devices anymore.
Deployment target is set to iOS 9, so that part should be OK.
When building and running on my iPad mini 1 from xcode it works fine, but when looking it up in the App Store, iPad mini 1 isn't supported by the app.
Did I accidentally change a setting, or is it the way it is from now on?
(XCODE 9.1)

In the info.plist file the "Required device capabilities" should include "armv7". That fixed it.

Built iOS app for iOS 10.0, but Testflight claims it requires iOS 12.1

I recently built an (universal) app for iOS in XCode 11.7 with deployment target set to iOS 10.0 (as per the Build Settings tab in XCode). Then I deployed that app to Testflight and was able to download and use it on a newer iPhone with the latest iOS.
However, when I tried to testflight it on my other iDevice (and old iPad 4th Gen that only runs iOS 10.3), Testflight told me that the app is only compatible with iOS 12.1 or higher. However, I've recently tested another app on Testflight built with (as far as I can tell) the exact same build settings using same MacBook and the same XCode, and that app installed on my iPad via Testflight without problems.
It sounds like the problem in App not compatible on iPhone 4s and 5 in Testflight and related posts, but my settings for "Build Active Architecture Only" are already set to "No" for Release.
I've already checked the Apple Compatiblity Matrix https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/documentation/DeviceInformation/Reference/iOSDeviceCompatibility/DeviceCompatibilityMatrix/DeviceCompatibilityMatrix.html but I am not using any special features.
There are only few things left I can think of
I implicitly (and without meaning to) use some feature of the newer iPhones that are not included in iOS 12.1 or below
I checked in the appstore that the app contains "medical information" (it's just anatomy drawings for students), so maybe this triggered an implicit requirement of Apple Health Kit (which does not run on iPad 4t Gen). This seems unlikely, however, as I only stated this in the App Store listing, not in XCode.
Somewhere in the settings, there is still one remaining switch left to "only support iOS 12.1 or higher" and I just have not found it, If so, please point out where that might be
The app that successfully installed on Testflight is an update for an older app that was published in late 2019, so maybe Apple forces new Apps to require iOS 12.1 or higher (since all apps have to be built against SDK 12.1 now) regardless of built settings, but updates for already existing apps are still allowed to run on lower iOS versions. Is this the case?
Or am I missing something entirely different?

App Store allows only iOS 10 or newer when deployment target is set to iOS 8.0

I have set deployment target to iOS 8.0 in both project and target settings (Xcode 9.2, Swift 4). Everything builds fine and with my testing iPhone 4S device (iOS 9.3.5) I can run app and works fine.
My problem is that same build in App Store allows only to download app for iOS 10 or newer. I get this message when trying to download from App Store:
"App name" is not compatible with this iPhone.
When I tried to look for way to fix this I found this in iTunes Connect (it's in Pricing and Availability section):
Why there is no older version? How can I fix this? I probably dont need to support iOS 8 but I want to support iOS 9.
Thanks for all help
2 things worth doing:
In Build Settings->Architecture, ensure that Build Active Architecture Only is set to NO, particularly for the Release section.
When archiving the project for distribution, ensure that the device at the top left corner of XCode is set to "Generic iOS Device" and not a device connected to your MacBook via USB. This is because despite setting Build Active Architecture to NO, XCode seems to not honour the setting.

Universal iOS 9.1 app is not compatible

I have a Universal App for iPad and iPhone.
the old versions of my app are working fine. I build the project with Xcode 7 and iOS 9.1 and it worked fine on my iPhone 6S and my iPad 2.
but after i upload the app to the AppStore i tried to update with my ipad and i get this message:
That my App "is not compatible with this iPad"
here screenshot of the appstore:
What i doing wrong?
UPDATE 1:
My iPad version is iOS 9.1 and the target in XCode is Universal
Since the compatibility list doesn't show iPhone4S or iPhone5, I assume that you limited the architecture to arm64.
For further information, see Setting Architectures for iOS Apps.
The problem was that for some reason the value of Build Active Architecture Only was YES instead of NO!!!!

Iphone4 development device xcode6

I have just started developing iOS apps with xCode 6.3. I only have 1 physical device with me, an iPhone 4 (no S). In order to work with Push notifications I need to register at least one device for development but xCode sees my iPhone4 as ineligible device (it runs IOS 7.1.2). I tried adjusting the building target to 7.1, restarting the device and the mac, but nothing has worked.
is there any way I can register the iPhone4 as development device without buying a new iOS device?
That was actually very stupid. I had tried this solution but I didn't clean and rebuild the project. After a clean, rebuild and restart (!!!) I can now run the apps on a Physical iPhone4
Try to download Xcode 5.1.1 from
https://developer.apple.com/downloads/
It's based on iOS 7.1 SDK. It should work with your iPhone4.
your device not detected Xcode 6.0 because hardware requrement not match. you must check it iPhones 4s or above. Also Xcode 6 not detect our iPhone.
there is no problem with your device.you can test with this device.follow these steps i hope u will get your problem solved.
1.remove device from xcode from window>device.
now link iphone and press trust from iphone when it asks to trust.
3.Keep your target sdk version 7.0 or 7.1.
now run your project.

iCloud Status not configured on iOS 6

I am developing an app with Xcode 5.0.2. My project configuration is base SDK iOS 7.0 and Deployment target is 6.0. I've configured iCloud and it works fine for an iOS 7 device. My problem is when I try to use iCloud in an iOS 6 device.
When I debug the app with Xcode I see this in the debug navigator --> iCloud Report section:
But when I debug my app on a device with iOS 6.1.3 I see this:
I've tested the app on four different devices, two with iOS 6 and two with iOS 7. Both with iOs 7 worked fine and both with iOS 6 don't connect with iCloud. All devices have iCloud configured with the same account and save docs and data enabled.
What's wrong? What can I do to make it works on iOS 6 device?
EDIT 1:
After a day of testing I can narrow the scope of my question. I have noticed that the "debug gauges" are only visible in Xcode when the application runs on a device with iOS 7. However, on devices with iOS 6 these are not visible.
Can anyone confirm me that this is so?
It can be configured in Xcode or in iOS 6 device?
I think that when I see that iCloud isn't configured doesn't refer to iOS 6 device, but rather it refers to Mac OS.
Anyway, leaving aside the "debug gauges" iCloud is still not working for me in iOS 6 devices.
Thanks!
I ran into a sync problem an noticed this, I thought the problem was as Xcode said: iCloud not configured.
But really, it was latency, especially in my case, there was a lot to sync, eventually my program worked, and clearly synced between devices using iCloud.
Don't be surprised if this is a bug, after all, it's Xcode ;)
