There are a few cosmetic issues with a TFS server I've setup.
The Builds Page is blank and the images aren't showing:
The entire strip where the Build Definitions are displayed should look like this:
A less obvious problem is the images are not showing.
Does anyone know whats causing this? or how to troubleshoot it?
Note: All the other pages show up fine, Releases, Packages, Library & Task Groups, its only Builds that's missing.
I found this MSDN thread for the missing images:
1) Open IIS Manager (inetmgr)
2) Navigate to Sites > Team Foundation Server
3) Double click on the Authentication icon
4) Right Click on Anonymous Authentication and select "Edit..."
5) Anonymous user identity is normally set to IUSR. Change it to "Application pool identity".
So I did that:
And now the Build Definitions showing, but the images are still not showing. Its so weird how running a fix for images (symptom) fixed the root cause, but the symptom is still not fixed.
Edit:
After a IISRESET the images are now showing properly. Also note that a Build Agent I had setup and registered to a AgentPool was not showing either until I applied this fix.
ps:
The other thing I didn't try is setting the SPN for the service account:

We tried to load scripts but something went wrong.
Please make sure that your network settings allow you to download scripts from the following domain:
https://aid-frontend.prod.atl-paas.net/atlassian-id/front-end/4.5.0
Tried Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet explorer also tried with different PC.
Not able to login into bitbucket
I'm using Chrome Version 77.0.3865.120 (Official Build) (64-bit). I got the same error trying to log in to my group's Atlassian site, and I was able to fix it by specifically allowing JavaScript from Atlassian:
Open Chrome settings
Click on Advanced
Click on Privacy and Security
Click on Site Settings
Click on JavaScript
Make sure JavaScript is set to allowed
Next to Allow, click Add
Paste the URL from the error message in and click Add
I've faced a similar problem recently while traveling and trying to work from a new location.
First I've tried the steps from the previous answer which unfortunately didn't help me (but they definitely may be useful in a different case scenario).
I'm renting a house with an existing pre-configured WIFI router which I could get an access to manage it over the web UI.
I'm not sure which of the following helped me. I did the following changes to the router configuration:
Added the 8.8.8.8 as a primary DNS Server
Enabled IPV6
Disabled the built-in firewall (this one is the more likely one which fixed the issue)
With Eclipse Che, I've recently been able to deploy the docker container without any issue as provided in the instructions.
I'm at the point where am trying to learn a bit more about extension development for Che, and I'm going through the small introduction on "developing your first plugin" located on the following page:
https://www.eclipse.org/che/docs/che-in-che-quickstart.html
I'm stuck at the point where I can successfully build and deploy the sample project by executing the Traefik Start, Tomcat8-IDE Start, Deploy IDE and Deploy Workspace Agent commands.
But when it comes time to navigate to the newly created 2nd workspace by clicking on the link provided in the IDE to go to the newly created 2nd workplace instance...:
... I end up getting redirected to the following error page:
I suspect that there may be some kind of configuration problem with the sample plugin project, or configuration problem with keycloak, but I'm at the point where I don't really know how to proceed in terms of troubleshooting.
(Update: 2018/07/31)
At request of #kalrsson for more information, below is a screenshot of the che-public client configuration in my Keycloak instance.
(SOLUTION Update: 2018/08/01)
Thanks to #kalrsson for pointing me in the right direction.
At first I tried only adding the needed URL to the "Valid Redirect URIs" list. Doing so allowed me to get past the issue were I was receiving the error "Invalid parameter: redirect_uri". However, this only presented me with a blank page. On this blank page, when I inspect the web browser console, I noticed the following error:
From there, I also tried to add the needed URL to WebOrigins in KeyCloak as seen below.
Doing this finally allowed me to fully load and render the secondary workspace
Can you go to keycloak_ip:5050/auth, login as admin/admin, clients, che-public, and the IP you use to redirect urls and webOrigins?
So, you need to previewURL:port both to redirectURIs and webOrigins
I have performed below steps in order:
1) Taken publish from VS for MVC site and copy it to production.
2) I did all changes in IIS (created app, selected app pool etc.)
3) Deployed db and given rights to my user
4) Changed connection string in web.config
On production IIS,it looks like as web.xyz.com but when I run it from browser it shows blank. I have checked with developer tools too but does not show any error.
On the same server, I have another sites like web1.xyz.com with exactly similar configuration and it is working but mine one is not working. Please suggest how to investigate this further? Did I missed any step here?
finally I found the issue. I need to add entry in DNS
I am having a weird error when it comes to one of my projects in visual studio. I can start to debug, but when I run into an error or Visual Studio needs time to create a data tip my IIS express instance is lost and it will create a duplicate. After this happens and I try to hit the page again my browser will try to connect but will never get a response. I have tried to stop debugging and then start back up, but the IIS instance persists and I get the same result, trying to connect but no response. Also all of my break points turn to the not able to hit symbol. The only way to get back to being able to debug is to close visual studio and open it back up again. I'm sorry I don't have anymore information, but it almost seems to happen randomly.
Thanks in advance
Edit
This is what the break point looks like after I have stopped and restarted debugging.
I end up finding out the issue for anyone having the same problem. My initial question was not exactly what was happening. Whenever I stopped the IIS instance, the port that I was running the server on was being taken over by a Microsoft process. So when I hit run again my process was blocked and then showing the error above.
In order to fix this issue. I had to change the virtual directory for the project. You can do so by clicking in the web project and selecting properties. Pick Web on the left hand side and then change the url with to contain a different port and then click on create virtual directory.
I am new to coding and everytime I ask a question I feel like stupid because I mostly am unfamiliar with most known things in this "industry" so I will sum up the whole situation fastly.
I learned how to code html css and js, I learned how to use VS 2012 asp.net mvc 4 and finally I made a webside for a student club I am into. Hosting is provided by our school and they only gave me ftp user name and password, I dont know which hosting firm is it or what is going on and so on, I got Filezilla to delete and unpublish the old webside, and I didnt know a proper way to publish asp.net websides through filezilla so I used VS 2012 publish tool.
I choosed FTP as publish method because I had ftp user name... I choosed relase as configuration and thats it ( I didnt open options here ) finally I could push on publish...
I faced 2 main problems so I couldnt publish
Problems I faced were;
1) While I was trying to publish I got an error like
" Validation (HTML5): Element 'a' must not be nested within element 'a button' "
I was trying to make a nav with sub items on it, It worked while I was trying it on local host I saw similar problems spoken out here on VS 2010 I tried to make exstensions to VS didnt work out
Anyway I deleted that part from the project and I tried publishing again.
2)It worked out perfect it seemed like no problem occoured. But when I try to open the webside it was saying I had no permisson to view.
I hope I didnt write any off topic staff here just try to tell you my problems so maybe someone can get help like I did from prior topics.
" Validation (HTML5): Element 'a' must not be nested within element 'a
button' "
You cannot have one anchor tag inside another anchor tag. If you have it that will cause you the problem.
Check out this thread to find out valid elements which can be nested inside an Anchor tag.
I had no permisson to view.
You need to give proper read/write permissions for the ApplicationPool Identity on the folder structure you have for your website. Or else IIS Apppool will not be able to get the files and execute them.
Give permissions to AppPool Identity for a particular folder/file. That resource will guide you one how to give you permissions to Application Pool Identity.
Alternatively you can give permissions from FileZilla itself. Simply right click the application root folder and select permissions. Then you can specify permissions from client side itself. But in most of the production cases, we have to add app pool user to the folder/file permissions list manually. But definitely give a try with FileZilla.
