Xcode splash screen not displaying correctly - ios

I am currently building an iOS objective c application and am working on the splash screen now but am running into display issues when running on a device.
This is how the layout is set up in my storyboard:
This is how the screen looks in a simulator, the correct version:
And this is how it looks on a device, the incorrect version:
Has anyone ever run into this problem and if so, how did you fix it? I'd be happy to provide any code if needed but i'm not sure what to include that would help solve the problem.

I have experienced this problem, too simple, this is an iOS BUG that can appear when you build directly from XCode, there's no specific solution, try restarting the iOS Device, I have never seen it when downloading the app from apple store after publishing, so simply ignore it, people who will download the app from apple store will not see this.

How do I show the simulation button in Xcode?

I have been working on my first iOS app. Recently we released the first version on the app store. I'm not sure if it's related but since releasing the first version I have noticed that the button to start a simulation is now gone. In it's place in the top left is an option that says "app_name" > My Mac. This doesn't make sense because this is an iOS app and the simulator has always worked before. Does anyone know what might be going on?
This is how it was
This is how it is now
Is Evidence Charts your app? If not, click on it to expand the list and select your app.
I had this issue before and you need to expand xcode's window to a really big size (outwards not downwards) hope this helps. This shouldn't be a bug with your app just a bug with xcode.
update : you should also try what Stephenye said

iOS simulator change devices not working

So I'm working through the BNR iOS objective c book, and I want to run a project on the iPad simulator. according to the book, I change the deployment device in the general settings for the project target as "universal," which I did.
However when I run and switch to any iPad on the simulator I get drawn back to the main method of my project. The iPad does appear after a delay, but without the app I built. I've set all the views in my xibs to "inferred" but I still can't run my project on iPad.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
This is probably because the app is crashing. it's possible if you created the app without setting it to universal it is missing a storyboard for iPad which would cause a crash and take you to that area. You should look at the console logs and see what is happening. There should be good information in there as to what is missing or why it's crashing right away.

iOS Simulator Rendering issue for PDF Reader Core for iOS

I have searched around on here, but couldn't find anything to answer my question. I have developed a custom app for the iPad; it involves using a set of PDf documents that change pages based on a 1 second time frame. To achieve this is have used the 'PDF Reader Core for iOS' external library. Please find the link here: https://github.com/vfr/Reader
The app works perfectly fine on the actual iPad, however I also wish to run the app on Mac Mini Machines, so the obvious thought I had was to boot the project in the iOS Simulator on the machines (saves me recoding it for OSX.). Now, here is my issue. The app works pretty smoothly in the simulator, the only issue I have is that there is a slight render lag between the page change on the Simulator. It isn't at full resolution, and appears blur whilst it renders, however the time frame to change is so quick that the simulator doesn't have enough time to render to full resolution. I have also emailed the developer of the library and he provided some suggestions however, these didn't seem to fix the issue.
I am aware that this could be to do with the actual PDF Reader itself, however I wanted to ask if anyone had any suggestions if this could be fixed in regards to the iOS Simulator? Any way to speed up the simulator?
I am using OSX Yosemite, Xcode 6.4 and Objective-C.
It seems at this moment i may have to recode for OSX. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

App stays in splash screen in iOS 7.0.3

Recently in iOS 7.0.3, my app stays in the splash screen and was not going into the app at all.
If i kill the app and launch it again it opens up without any issues.
Can anyone help me on this issue?. I think the application -didFinishLaunchingWithOptions was not returning yes.
Note: I have a lot of stuffs like deleting database, initializing a dozen of buttons in appdelegate init function.
I know that it is a bad practice to have things in init but since its been there for more than 4 years and was working fine with previous OS versions i didn't find a good reason to change it.
Also this issue is not happening all the time.
My app size is 40 MB.
The iOS Guidelines say that you should not include anything which holds the Splash screen for much time its better if you do all the process in background so that splash screens loads up and user can play with app. But as you said your issue is not all the time so Try to reset the app and also quit simulator. Hope this helps.

Hello World causes Iphone 5s to freeze

I recently began going through the official Apple documentation and tutorials to learn iPhone development. I got my Iphone 5s a couple of days ago, but the sample ToDo list app that I'm making causes the device to lock up randomly when I try to test on the device. For example, I if I make a chance to the code and build/run it on the device, it will work. However, as I keep updating the code and testing it, eventually it will just open up my app on the device as a complete black screen, and freezes. The home button then no longer works, no touch events work, the only think I can do is to hold Home+lock button until the device shuts down.
This cannot be normal, can it? I mean, its just a basic app, what could be causing it?
Attached is the error that shows in xcode, and also a screenshot of the Iphone when it its frozen. Surprisingly, I was able to use the screenshot functionality on the phone... :/
Please check whether you are using a distribution provisioning profile/certificate to sign the app. If you plan to debug the app on the device (use breakpoints etc.), you should sign it with a development provisioning profile.
It only happens sometimes, so it's not provisioning related.
It causes a message to popup in XCode itself, so it's not code related.
I had the same problems before (not that often really...). What I did was
Restart the device
Remove the app from the device
Clear the project builds (CMD SHIFT K)
Restart XCode.
Build & Run again
I actually haven't seen this for a while. I always thought that they fixed the bug. Hope this helps!
