I'm trying to publish an iOS app that uses encryption on the AppStore. I've uploaded the ERN to iTunes Connect, and then got an e-mail from Apple stating:
Hello,
Thank you for submitting your App to the AppStore. The App is currently under “Export Compliance Review” due to missing information or additional clarification is needed.
Missing Information:
“App Description” is blank. Please provide the function of the app.
“Availability” is blank. Please provide the countries where the app will be distributed.
Regards,
Apple Export Compliance
I've updated those fields something like a week ago, but I'm not sure if I have to take any other step - re-submitting something, or whatever -, or if I just have to wait until Apple decides to re-review my app.
Any info on this?
Once you update/provide the information required by the reviewer, you need to reply to the reviewer's message in the resolution centre.
The reviewer will be intimated after your reply and it is when the review of your App will be resumed.

Apple's review notes:
Guideline 2.1 - Performance
We discovered one or more bugs in your app when reviewed on iPad
running iOS 10.3.1 on Wi-Fi connected to an IPv6 network.
Specifically, your app displayed an error message when we tried to
create an account.
Please see attached screenshots for details.
Next Steps
To resolve this issue, please run your app on a device while connected
to an IPv6 network (all apps must support IPv6) to identify any
issues, then revise and resubmit your app for review.
If we misunderstood the intended behavior of your app, please reply to
this message in Resolution Center to provide information on how these
features were intended to work.
For new apps, uninstall all previous versions of your app from a
device, then install and follow the steps to reproduce the issue. For
updates, install the new version as an update to the previous version,
then follow the steps to reproduce the issue.

Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed
We were unable to sign in to review your app with the demo account

in iTunes Connect. Please be sure to include content in your app that
demonstrates the features and functionality available in your app.
To provide demo account information:

Click on "My Apps"
Select your app
Click on the app version on the left side of the screen

Click "Done"
Once you've completed all changes, click the "Save" button at the top of the App Version Information page.
Reply to this message to confirm the availability of a valid demo account and we will continue the review.
While your iTunes Connect status shows as Metadata Rejected, we do not
require a new binary to correct this issue. Once this information is
available, we can continue your review.
Could anyone help me understand what is going on?
Apple began requiring all App Store submissions to support IPv6-only networks as of June 1, 2016.
Apple began reviewing existing apps on September 7, 2016 to remove “apps that no longer function as intended, don’t follow current review guidelines, or are outdated.”
The message you received indicates that Apple reviewed your app and found that it didn't work on an IPv6-only network. This means it doesn't follow current review guidelines and is eligible for removal.
You need to test your app on an IPv6-only network, figure out why it doesn't work, fix it, and submit the fixed version.
I am now preparing to submit a new app to the Apple iTunes store, and I have a question with regard to the guidelines, which rose when I read through the guidelines.
What are the things I need to submit for an app review?
If my app is rejected, on what grounds can I exactly appeal?
Is it possible to resubmit an app for review, after taking into consideration the possible points for rejection have been corrected, and if so, what is the exact procedure?
What is the minimum time period that will be taken for a review, the first time and for an update? (I read that review can be expedited under certain grounds, but I am referring here to the normal update process)
Thanks in advance.
I will try to give you as much information as I can, but you should search more on the Internet or SO, because I'm sure there are plenty of answers.
Anyway, this is a possible duplicate, but here are some informations :
First of all, your questions are too broad. What do you mean? You want to know the process?
In order to submit an App to the AppleStore, you need Production Certificate.
You can check if everything is setup properly by checking your signing options :
Open xCode, click on your target, general tab, Signing part.
Here is the Apple Documentation.
You can also check everything on the Apple Developer Website.
You have to Archive your App, xCode - Product - Archive.
Then you can export it with the Organizer.
When you have your .ipa file, you can upload it for submission with Application Loader Xcode - Open Developer Tool - Application Loader.
The process might be painful the first time, but after two or three Release, you will handle it easily.
Your App might be rejected for plenty of reasons, anyway Apple will send you an email containing the reason if your App is rejected.
The delay may vary, sometimes it took 2 or 3 days, sometimes 10+.
When your App is finally accepted, log in on iTunes Connect, and you will find the "+ Version" option on the left.
It will enables you to deploy the build you want on the AppStore.
Hope it will help, don't hesitate to search on the Internet, or look documentations, tutorial.
Good luck for your release.
I've just received this notification from Apple:
Information Needed
Your iTunes Connect settings indicate that your app serves third-party
advertisements. However, we were unable to locate ads in your app.
Please reply to this message to provide the steps for locating
third-party ads in your app. When we hear back from you, we will
continue the review.
I dont know where I've made the error and where I have to correct it.
-> I just use Apple iAd. No other advertisements provider is present.
After this correction, do I need to "Submit for Review" again?
-> Im asking this, because I've red this page here: http://www.brynbodayle.com/an-easy-mistake-with-itunes-connect-metadata-rejections/ where it says I dont need to resubmit again.
But in the iTunes Connect Developer Guide there is something like this:
If your app has been rejected because of a metadata issue, you can
resolve the metadata issues and resubmit the same build for review.
If someone could help me how to deal with this, I would appreciate it! Thank you.
Your first message says that your app is using ads but the reviewer hasnt been able to found it on your app.
They tell you to just indicate where are the ads located.
All this is because Apple doesnt allow getting an AdvertisementID without showing ads (some people use it as unique-identifier).
Hope this helps.
If you are using just iAd from Apple, check the iAd code on your application. Probably you need to fix an issue on your iAd code.Make sure the iAd is not set to 0 on Alpha. You can use the simulator to test iAds.
After the rejection, your will receive an email with a link to the Resolution Center. (don't click on "Submit for Review" button).
Send a message to your reviewer using the Resolution Center and wait a few hours. Your app will be "In Review" soon. Also you can "Submit an Appeal to the Apple Review Team".
Remember, If you make changes to your code, you will need to upload a new binary code. Probably you will lose your queue position and start the review process again (7-10 days).
I have received a metadata rejection for my application requesting some clarification about my application

Additionally, we have begun the review of your app but aren't able to continue because we need additional information about your app.
At your earliest opportunity, please review the following question(s) and provide as much detailed information as you can. The more information you can provide upfront, the sooner we can complete your review.
1. What features in your app require use of background location?
While your iTunes Connect Application State is displayed as Metadata Rejected, it is not necessary to upload a new binary. Once you reply to this message in the Resolution Center, we can proceed with your review.
We have replied to the store in the Resolution center, but I am now confused if I should resubmit the application to review since the button is enabled, or should I only wait after my reply.
I spend few minutes trying to search for an answer but i am confused more now.for ex:
http://www.brynbodayle.com/an-easy-mistake-with-itunes-connect-metadata-rejections/
Apple site mention the following: Metadata items other than your build haven’t passed review. See Viewing Resolution Center Communications.
To resolve the issue, edit the metadata in iTunes Connect**(Seems that this not updated because i can't find where i should do it)**. When you’ve resolved the issue, submit the app for review again.
Could anyone who have faced a metadata rejection recently help me about this issue? or any expert help ?
I don't want to wait 7 days again for review.
Ok guys,
The answer was leaving it without submitting it again. I have received now a message from the store that they received the reply and will continue the review process of the app. The current status of my app is In Review.
Hope this will help others in case someone faced such issues in the future.
Regards,
My App got rejected because of missing in app purchases although my products in iTunes as "Waiting for review" , Apple send provided information in Resolution center as:
Missing IAPs
Upon further review of your app, we are unable to complete the review of your app since one or more of your In App Purchases have not been submitted for review.
Specifically, we noticed your have not submitted the subscription In App Purchases for review.
Can anyone suggest me how could i solve this issue thanks..
Take a look at the below ScreenShot.
When you try to save all your data for the app submittion, then there is a "+" button on this page, Form where you need to select the InApp Product Ids for your apps if you have set up your In App correctly.
If all is good then it there will be your selected In Apps(Product Ids) shown here and then save your data.
Now when you put your app for submittion then your In App and your app both will be in waiting for review state.
NOTE
Your In App must be sumbitted at the same time when you submit your app.
Hope this helps you.
