Failed to parse app's Info.plist error. Is there someone know this solution?
Use SDK 5.5.0 or later for Xcode 8+ and iOS 10+. There was a breaking change in that releases so the CLI was updated to incorporate this changes. Thx!
Delete Build & Resources folders from root of the project. (These folders might not be there)
Clean the project and re-run the app, it should work.
If this doesn't work then there could be some other issues for which you need to provide more info on what stuffs are you using related to Info.plist file.

I have built a react native project with expo. Whenever I drag the finished .app file into my xcode window I get this error.
How would I go about fixing this?
We will need more info about your app to really help with this. As you are using Expo, you have no direct access to the Info.plist file for iOS. That would have to be maneuvered using the app.json.
You would need a specific configuration property based on what exactly is believed to be requiring a "Valid Info.plist" the message says.
See Expo's documentation on this here: app.json
When I am trying to build my Ionic 3 app in ios device from Xcode, I am getting the following error.
'Branch.h' file not found
The error appears in file BranchSDK.h inside the Plugins folder of IOS.
There are old threads on Github regarding this error but I am unable to solve it.
Please try following solution:
Please make sure that you are opening xcworkspace instead of xcodeproj.
Please remove the existing SDK integration, start a fresh and make sure to use the latest version. You can follow this link for more details:
https://github.com/BranchMetrics/cordova-ionic-phonegap-branch-deep-linking-attribution/issues/356
Delete derived data from Xcode as suggested in this link.
Config.xml is an important part of your project configuration, please make sure to cross confirm it from the Branch Dashboard. Please follow our troubleshooting guidelines to make sure you are not missing anything.
In case following solution does not works for you please write to support#branch.io.
I downloaded Xcode 9 beta recently, and when I tried to run my app in the simulator it is not getting installed. I am getting this error in my Xcode every time I try to run the app.
This app was unable to be installed.
The application used to work in Xcode 8.3.3
Unfortunately, the error message doesn’t explain why the install failed. You can take a look at ~/Library/Logs/CoreSimulator/CoreSimulator.log to see if the rest of the error message is there with more info. If not, you should check out the sim device’s system log:
sudo xcode-select -s /Applications/Xcode-beta.app # if you haven’t already
xcrun simctl spawn booted log show
You can use --predicate to filter that down a bit.
Late answer but might be that can be useful for others. I just get a project with existing watch-kit and custom keyboard code. After change the identifier i got the same error and i spend 1 day to find out why that happens.
I checked everything of bundle id and all version. then i do global search in xcode with old identifier and i found that following.
Here in both .plist file have old WKCompanionAppBundleIdentifier so after i update it with new manually application run again.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
IF YOU ARE JUST CHANGE IDENTIFIER FROM GENERAL TAB THAT DOES NOT MEAN IT UPDATE AT ALL. KINDLY CHECK WITH ALL POSSIBLE PLACES BY SEARCH AND REPLACE IT WITH NEW IDENTIFIER.
XCODE VERSIO: Version 9.0 (9A235)
I ran into this same issue and a quick click on Product > Clean did the trick for me!
If you are using CocoaPods in your project please have a look at this answer: https://stackoverflow.com/a/44533287/221194
Changing the status of the pods subdirectory helped me with my project.
I had a similar issue when installing my App on the IOS simulator (with Xcode 9).
I found the issue (at least for my case), it was due to an unauthorized key (Privacy - Location When In Use Usage Description) in the info.plist of the Watch App.
I have moved this key to the info.plist of the WatchKit Extension and now the App installs again.
I hope it will help others people having the same issue.
change deployment target as per requirement.
select project > GENERAL > DEPLOYMENT TARGET
also check ios version of your device
I had the same issue. Log shows it's an error caused by Google Signin:
FunctionName=-[MobileInstallationHelperService stageItemAtURL:completion:], SourceFileLine=392, NSUnderlyingError=0x7f891e9a1270 {Error Domain=MIInstallerErrorDomain Code=4 "Failed to remove ACL" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Failed to remove ACL, FunctionName=-[MIFileManager _removeACLAtPath:isDir:error:]
However it works on iOS 9 & 10 simulator.
I got same error and I was using Cocoapods in my project and for me help just update pods.
I ran into this issue in Xcode 9.0 beta 5 after renaming a project that contained an iOS and watchOS app. To fix, I recreated the iOS target.
This issue could be triggered by multiple things however if you take a look at the logs at ~/Library/Logs/CoreSimulator/CoreSimulator.log and it states an error that reads :
NSUnderlyingError=0x7fb51c271ee0 Could not hardlink copy /originPath
to /destinationPath
it's possible that your Build number in your Project Target's settings is set to empty.
Go to Project Target > Identity > Build and set a Build number. You'll have to uninstall the the app in the simulator and re-install it before installing updated versions.
Please check the bundle identifier to solve the issue.
I had the same issue on XCode 9.3.1 when I wanted to add google map framework to my project manually.
To fix the problem I remove the google frameworks from Embedded binaries...
So, there simple instructions on Realm website:
Installation (Swift 2.1.1):
...
2) Go to your Xcode project’s “General”
settings. Drag RealmSwift.framework and Realm.framework from the
ios/swift-2.1.1/, watchos/, tvos/ or osx/swift-2.1.1/ directory to the
“Embedded Binaries” section. Make sure Copy items if needed is
selected and click Finish.
Basically, stating that we need to use different Realm libraries for developing apps for Watch and for iPhone.
Problem here, is that if I want to create watchOS app I need to import library specific to it. When at the same time I'm trying to import library for iOS, I get error from xCode (version 7.2.1):
Multiple errors occurred while copying the files
Making it impossible to add both libraries at the same time.
My goal is to share data between Watch and iPhone like instructed in this article, but even there author is missing information on how to setup 2 different libraries.
Appreciate any help or advice. Thank you.
The problem you are having adding both the iOS Frameworks and the WatchKit's frameworks is the exact same one I had
I solved this by copying both folders [iOS] [watchkit] into my Xcode project's folder, then adding the respective libraries to their target's Embedded Binaries section.
In this way, you will not be literally copying the same-named items to the same location and it will not throw the error!
After spending some time googling, something tells me that the issue is new.
We had a fully functional project supporting iOS7-8. Of course it was multiple times successfully submitted to AppStore.
We use pods, lots of tracking and monitoring, like GA and Instabug.
Now we decided to submit a version of the app built on Xcode 7 on iOS 9 to TestFlight.
We disabled bitcode, since many pods, like Flurry and other prebuilt libraries does not include it.
The build was successful, after the submission to iTunesConnect we get this:
We had same for GoogleAppIndexing library (in pods too), but we removed it, just to make it work. Now - Instabug. It is going too far, so I am trying to understand what is going on in iOS 9 and what are the changes that made a fully working project to start throwing such errors.
Any thoughts and ideas are welcomed! Please share your experience, and if I missed something, I will gladly share my steps.
I encountered the same problem today with the same exact error message when trying to submit our app (using Xcode 7 beta 5) but instead of the instabug.bundle bit, it was for me TencentOpenApi_IOS_Bundle.bundle.
I solved the problem by finding the named bundle in the project then - just as the error message suggests - edited the Info.plist that is in the bundle by removing the CFBundleExecutable key. The CFBundlePackageType key was already set to BNDL so I didn't touch it.
After these changes I did Product > Clean and then had no problem submitting the app to the App store.
Encountered this with AviarySDK on Xcode 7 GM, while submitting to the App Store.
First I'd check to see whether you're on the latest version of your library - the vendor may have fixed this already. If you are still facing this problem however, as Sleiman describes you need to remove the CFBundleExecutable key from the plist file for the offending library.
Cmd + Shift + O and type "Info.plist", you can then find the appropriate file:
Once editing the plist, you may be seeing descriptive names (instead of the CFBundleExecutable and other keys. I couldn't edit this file in an external editor, so I had to switch to view raw keys/values by right-clicking on the list:
You can now see the CFBundleExecutable key (which has a description of "Executable file") which you can delete.
For AviarySDK I did this twice, once for each Info.plist seen in the above image, and was then able to successfully submit.
I solve this problem as follows:
We have to remove all the "Executable files" of the following packages:
GooglePlus.bundle
GPPCommonSharedResources.bundle
GPPShareboxSharedResources.bundle
Be sure that "Bundle type code" is equal BNDL
Important: Do not edit anything in the info.plist the main project.
Attached screens as they should be his "info.plist" listed above each package.
Here's what worked for me
Apple-Shift-F, search for CFBundleExecutable
Click each one except "PODS" or your main target
Delete it (delete key)
If the build is submitted through Less than(<) Xcode 7.0 then it will be submitted and also
I have solved it by following way for Xcode 7:
Searched for info.plist in the projects Project Navigator as like following image:
Now opened these info.plist files one by one and deleted the BundleExecutable key EXCEPT the target's info.plist
Now cleaned the project and achieved and It is submitted with No issue.
I had the same issue in Google Maps Library i removed CFBundleExecutable key inside GMSCoreResources.bundle (Info.plist) which is SDK's info.plist clean project and upload to appstore.
Happy Programming.
Just check your Build Settings => Enable Bitcode, and set it NO
In my case I just Drag and Drop The SDK In folder include info.plist file which is not in use. That's create the issue for me. So find the unused info.plist file and delete it from the Source code.
One additional note: sometimes if you have additional targets there will be target properties that may also include the key (in the "Info" section), so make sure to check those and remove it from there also. I discovered this with one of the bundles I was trying to include. I deleted the info from the plist, but kept getting the error.
If you're seeing this error from a library installed via CocoaPods, try a pod update <OFFENDING POD NAME>
That solved the problem for me.
I just added word "BNDL" to appropriate place in plist "Bundle creator OS Type code".
