I'm trying to test the localization feature in Polymer.
I've created a new App using the new CLI.
It gives you a nice scaffolding of an app. In there I've added the code from the app-localize-behavior docs to enable it but it simply doesn't work. By doesn't work I mean that the {{localize(...)}} line doesn't show anything.

I just very quickly looked at the issue, and it looks ok to me at first glance... except for possibly requiring to 'type' your language property:

Here I am, again. With another question concerning cakephp-2.5 and the plugin 'highcharts'.
I've been looking at the demo's an all the different things I could find were the extendings from the controllers. But... that isn't required because it's a plug, am I right?
So, I have included th plugin to my loadings inside the bootstrap file, and when I'm trying to render my HighChart I'm receiving the following error;
Error: Chart: "1" could not be found. Ensure that Chart Name is the same string that is passed to $this->HighCharts->render() in your view.
But the demos are working fine! Any idea what I f*cked up? The names are the same, I even renamed them to 'asd' ( both! ) and it still doesn't work. ^^"
I know this is an incredibly late response but for the benefit of those still experiencing problems with this, the CakePHP 2.* Highcharts plugin has been updated and is compatible up to CakePHP version 2.5.7.
Do note however that in order to maintain product name consistency throughout the repo, all previous references to "HighCharts" have been changed to "Highcharts" and "high_charts" is now simply "highcharts" . So for eg. you now have to call $this->Highcharts->render() where before you would have used $this->HighCharts->render().
The plugin was not yet compatible with CakePHP 2.5. Right now as we speak the developer is working on a new release for 2.5. :)
In CakePHP 2.5, you can avoid the error above and render your chart by calling it.
For example from within index() within your controller, use:
$this->bar();
In this example, bar() is the name of the function containing your chart.

I'm trying to edit the title of one of my pages, and I cannot find where it is getting defined. It is showing up in my base ERB file as 'title', but that name is sufficiently generic to make it next to impossible to find where it is defined.
I have prodded everywhere I can think, I've tried searching for "title =", but nothing is working. I tried calling source_location on it, but that appears to only work on methods.
Any tricks for finding where a variable is defined?
I can't think of an elegant way. A dumb-but-probably-effective way would be to dump stack trace in your erb, then see what those locations are doing and if title is defined there. It has to enter somewhere between the start of program and invoking your erb.
When I can't find something, I use grep -ri some_string . at the command-line to recursively search all the content of the directory.
It's also a good tactic to let your editor search all the source code, since the ones worth using have the ability to search through all files in a directory.

An alternate trick is to add a HTML-comment section in your ERB file, and put the pertinent information for the components used to create the title into that section. Then, let the pages be generated and look inside the page's content to determine what table and row ID it is, the site_config filename, etc.
You really should be able to figure it out based on the parts that are concatenated to build the title and then search your database or files. That information isn't magically created out of thin air by Rails; Someone had to tell Rails how to define the title. But, people move on, or they don't document correctly, so try the embedded information trick.

But I have a problem with the output. I use ZF2 and would like to
use ZendMarkup to render the output bbcode back in html.
But at every time I call
$bbcode->render(...)
I got the error
There is no Zend_Markup_Root markup.
The ZendMarkup is an extension inspired by the Zend_Markup from ZF1.
But I can't find any thing on API or other guides.
Does someone has any idea what as the problem is?
The ZendMarkup library is very old (last update is 10 months ago!) so I wouldn't use such library. If you would like, I think I traced the error down.
On this line there is a reference to Zend_Markup_Root while that should be ZendMarkup\Renderer\Markup\Html\Root. Try to change that line and see what happens.
Another way is to replace the ZendMarkup library with another library which does work and is updated regularly. An example is Decoda. If you load mjohnson/decoda in your composer.json, you can use Decoda in your Zend Framework 2 application:

With tools like composer, there is no need to use solely Zend* components when there are better alternatives.
I have created a global data type, and use form renderer in a page to let user fill in the data and submit to website.
The default English is working fine.
now when I try to support the second language I run into issues. According to the composite documentation:
1.Add your empty localization file at ~/Frontend/CompositeForms/Renderer/Localization/, for example: Composite.FormsRenderer.de-de.xml
2.Copy the contents of the default Composite.FormsRenderer.en-us.xml to your localization file.
3.Translate the strings.
4.In ~/App_Data/Composite/Composite.config, under the section locate Composite.Plugins.FormsRenderer's add section and register your localization file
but ~/Frontend/CompositeForms/Renderer/Localization does not exist, and neither does Composite.FormsRendereren-us.xml exists.
is the documentation outdated? does anyone had experience with localizing form renderer on user defined data type?

The documentation IS outdated at the moment (and will be updated soon - thanks for pointing it out).
Do it in the following way on 4.0 or later:
Make a copy of ~/Composite/InstalledPackages/localization/Composite.Forms.Renderer.en-us.xml, changing the language/culture code from 'en-us' to your language's (e.g. Composite.Forms.Renderer.de-de.xml).
Translate the strings.
No need to change anything in ~/App_Data/Composite/Composite.config any more.
I want Rview to jump to .js.erb-views as well.
It always says "Can't find file "app/views/examples/foo".
The help says:
rails-template-types
Commands like :Rview use a hardwired list of
extensions (erb, rjs, etc.) when searching for files. In order to
facilitate working with non-standard template types, several popular
extensions are featured in this list, including haml, liquid, and mab
(markaby). These extensions will disappear once a related
configuration option is added to rails.vim.
Since the view ends with .erb, i would suggest it should work.

This is strange, I just checked in my vim and it works fine. I use Janus, but I think that the standard vim + rails.vim should work well.
Maybe you need to update rails.vim?
And you can tell the sequence of your actions: the current file, typed commands, etc.
