I would like to ask for your help regarding importing of SDK Demo Apps to my eclipse workspace.
I have downloaded the zip file containing the SAPUI5 Demo Apps. When i unzip it,
i saw the folder containing the demo apps.
enter image description here
Now I have tried to import the project in my eclipse, but no project is found whenever i select the folder.
How do i import these demo apps in eclipse? I have searched the internet but i just cant find the right solution.
Your response will be highly appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance! :)
I am going to be a bit cheeky here but your first solution might be to NOT use eclipse ;) I am a bit of a Sublime Text fan and with lots of plug ins you can get 90% of the of the functionality with 2% of the memory footprint and an incredibly fast editor.
Ok, with that out of the way, my serious answer to your question would be to create a SAPUI5 project in the normal way (I am going from memory here)
File -> New Project (SAPUI5 Project)
Once the shell of that project is created you could then copy the root folder of the tdg project into the shell just created in eclipse.
Repeat this process for each of the examples you want to run in eclipse.

For a project I'd like to use an existing website as a base for a cordova app. My project setup looks as follows:
One Solution with two projects
A ASP.NET webservice project (with website aka html/js/css)
An tools for apache cordova project
I don't want to copy the html/js/css files from the website on every build. Instead, I thought I could get away with some kind of a link to the www-folder in the ASP.NET project. I tried several approaches:
Creating a filesystem link (tried 'mklink' with parameters /D and /J - /H is not working for directories
Editing the .jsproj file and add a tag to link to the other project's www-folder
The second approach didn't work at all. Just got some weird errors when trying to load the project again (saying something about file duplicates).
The first approach worked a little bit: It is working, when targeting the windows platform. It is NOT working, when targeting iOS.
When targeting iOS, everything is copied just fine to the platforms\ios folder (read, all the content of the linked www folder is copied to the platforms\ios\www folder). But it is not copied correctly to the remote build tool on Mac OS X! It really just copies the directory link as a file. Remotebuild then failes with a 'missing www directory in top level' message.
Any suggestions how to add a link so the content is copied (instead of the actual link)?
Is there a way to take detailed influence on the build process for specific platforms?
Is there a way to create a hardlink to a directory in windows? What are the drawbacks?
I'd really like to avoid copying the files on build (which would be simple enough with a prebuild script), because there's a high risk of loosing changes made while debugging.
I'm aware that setting a link is also not the best solution, since it has to be done per machine and can't be checked in to a version control system. So, if somebody knows of a better aproach to handle my scenario, let me know.
I work on the Tools for Apache Cordova in Visual Studio at Microsoft.
I'm sorry but VS-TAC does not support add as link. To prevent confusion we removed the option in update 3.
The best solution I can give you is to copy files from one project to another. Another user asked this question a week ago and came up with a hacky solution. Please see this for more information:
VS2015 typescript cordova add as a link
Sorry for the trouble and thank you for the feedback!
I would like to Display a Scratch Project (.SB) file within my Delphi EXE file. I would like to know if it is possible to display and build the Scratch Project into your Delphi Project.
I wish to make a small game in Scratch and then use the game within my Delphi Application without the need of the Scratch IDE. Perhaps a 3rd party delphi tool or component or something that can help me achieve this would also be nice.
Is this possible?
How can this be done?
It's possible, like everything, but it's not been done AFAIK, which means it's going to be hard work.
You have a few choices:
Scratch is normally embedded within web sites as a Flash object. If
you can embed Flash media, that is a solution.
Some Scratch-inspired systems like BYOB export to exe. You could look into how they do that to use your project (Scratch and BYOB
are compatible enough to load your project and export it after
minor changes)
If you don't like these, then write your own Scratch interpreter for Delphi. Scratch sprites are objects, their behaviour is straightforward enough, the Scratch projects are easily parsed (it's XML), now - off you go!
I am assuming that you want to port a scratch program to .EXE.
If this is the case, then you can install BYOB.
After doing this, you can convert your scratch project to a BYOB project and load it into BYOB.
Then, go to Share->Compile this project, and it will generate a .EXE for you.
I'm a math teacher with some novice Java skills. About six years ago I made some applets so my students could practice word problems. As time went on, more and more of my students have had problems using the applets because of browser incompatibility (I think). So this summer I've been working to convert the applets into a Dart app. The entire project is two textareas and about eight buttons that either display a problem or its solution.
So far I've got it working just fine in Dart Editor. It compiled to JavaScript without an error or warning and runs well in JavaScript, also through Dart Editor.
I copied the files to my website using FileZilla, but when I access the app on the server via a browser (I tried Safari and Internet Explorer) the app looks correct but none of the buttons work. That is, nothing happens when they are clicked. I'm not sure that I have copied all of the correct files/folders. I copied everything to the server that is within the web/ directory. There are two HTML files, one in out/ and one in web/. Which HTML file should it launch from? And should I just rename that file to index.html?
I've got about 40+ hours on the Dart phase of the project but am about out of time to devote to this particular problem. I've put in a few hours searching for help and related examples online, but I think my questions are so basic that there is no information available.
Again, I'm not a web developer or programmer. Think 50 year old math teacher.
Since a Dart project contains symlinks to dependencies, you can't simply copy a project to a server and have it work. pub deploy is a command that bakes your application and bundles the files for copying to a server.
It's somewhat a early, but there's a description here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13y7yCwq9GtPChXtd6t0YMcUtMJLZq2IVwq546Dve_No/edit
I have some programming experience with Actionscript 3 and am totally new to Away3d. I have not been successful in installing the library on FlashDevelop, which is my favorite editor, although I also like FDT ( free version though... ). If someone out there could patiently walk me through the installation process I would immensely appreciate the courtesy. Marcos
You might use this excellent tutorial for setup your project. Flash is just no more in beta stadium, so if you didn't already download it from adobe sites, do it here not from those links in the tutorial (and yeah, version number little differs).
If you'll have some specific questions (or errors) feel free to ask.
You do not have to install it. Away3D is a library, so just follow these steps:
1 - Download here http://away3d.com/download/ for free the sec file or the source files;
2 - if you have downloaded the swf file, just put it inside your projects path (anywhere inside), right click it and choose "add to library". You are done.
3 - if you have downloaded the source code (you can edit it as you like and better understand the process) you can just open it, enter src folder and move it's contents to your project`s src folder. You are done.
I've developed a PhoneGap application that I intend to deploy to my BlackBerry Bold 9700. My development tools includes NotePad++, Apache Ant, Sun JDK and BlackBerry WebWorks SDK as dictated on this page here http://www.phonegap.com/start#blackberry.
I applied for Signing Keys from the Blackberry website and received a .CSI file via email. The email offers instructions for various ways of processing the .CSI file, but none of the ways explain how to do it with the current tools I have installed.
Is there an easy way to proceed with my .CSI file without installing Eclipse, Visual Studio or any other IDE? If so, can someone dictate step by step what to do?
I hope you got the solution for that. I was having the same issues. I hope my solution will work for anyone.
After getting the *.csi files from blackberry, you need to install them on your computer.
For those of you who are using Ant to build applications which described here http://www.phonegap.com/start#blackberry.
this will work you.
For installing the *.csi files in your computer you need SignatureTool.jar . This is located in your c:\BBWP\bin directory.
Next copy all the *.csi files to the above directory and run this command from the terminal in sequence.
c:\BBWP\bin>SignatureTool.jar client-RBB-2053305203.csi
c:\BBWP\bin>SignatureTool.jar client-RCR-2053305203.csi
c:\BBWP\bin>SignatureTool.jar client-RRT-2053305203.csi
If you don't have a private key installed you need to create one. And use the pin number which you used during the registration process. The installation is easy you will not have any problems with it.
Hope it helps anyone
Thank you
Try BlackBerry Ant tools. It uses ant so you need it, but this is fairly lightweight.
Look at "Signing your smartphone application" to get you started
