Load Error for rails-4.2.4 - will not load - ruby-on-rails

This is the error I get in my terminal when I am trying to spin up rails server or even when I input rails -v.
/Users/lukeduncan/.rbenv/versions/2.2.0/bin/rails:23:in `load': cannot load such file -- /Users/lukeduncan/.rbenv/versions/2.2.0/lib/ruby/gems/2.2.0/gems/rails-4.2.4/bin/rails (LoadError)
from /Users/lukeduncan/.rbenv/versions/2.2.0/bin/rails:23:in `<main>'
I have looked into the issue and noticed it may be because I have two versions of ruby installed. But not entirely sure so don't want to remove one just in case. When I gem install rails, it says it updates to the latest 4.2.4 but still does not load once I try to run a rails app or even trying to run rails -v. Other apps that I have also spin up the same error so it is not app specific.
Here is my gemfile.lock

Help would be much appreciated!

You haven't published your Gemfile and Gemfile.lock, so I can only make assumptions.
I assume that your Gemfile.lock contains a reference to rails 4.2.4, correct? If yes, make sure that you start rails from the directory where it resides; since Rails 3 it is Bundler-aware, so it executes rails command in the context of the current bundle.

Figured it out. I had two versions of rails installed. Uninstalled both of them and railties as well. Reinstalled rails 4.2.4 and everything is working now.

I had a very similar issue. However, when I ran sudo yarn install I was getting warnings about wrong version of node.
In the end I tracked it down to there existing an old version of node in /usr/local/bin. Removing that fixed the problem for me. sudo yarn install then reported that everything was up-to-date.

Having trouble deploying rails application on a server

I am having trouble deploying my rails application with puma and capistrano on my server. Also I am using
https://mattbrictson.com/build-and-deploy-a-rails-vps-part-2
as a reference guide
But when I try to run bundle exec cap production deploy
I will get the following error message:
The deploy has failed with an error: Exception while executing as deployer#SERVER: bundle exit status: 16
bundle stdout: Your bundle only supports platforms ["x86-mingw32"] but your local platforms are["ruby", "x86_64-linux"], and there's no compatible match between those two lists.
Which is strange since when I run: bundle platform
I get:
Your platform is: x86_64-linux-gnu
Your app has gems that work on these platforms:
* ruby
Your Gemfile does not specify a Ruby version requirement.
And the Gemfile.lock contains the following:

What am I doing wrong? Did I forget something?
Can you try to add ruby version in your Gemfile?
ruby '2.3.3' // or whatever your ruby version is

rails application not deploying to heroku (application error message)

I am trying to deploy a simple hello world Rails application to Heroku but am getting an application error. The weird thing is it worked fine for my other Rails application but it doesn't work for this one even though I made the same changes to both, including having the same Gemfile, controller action and root route. It works fine locally but not when I deploy it.
http://calm-oasis-3599.herokuapp.com/
This is the error output when I run heroku run rails console and heroku logs.
Any help with finding out why I am getting this error is greatly appreciated.

Here's the spring gem file
#!/usr/bin/env ruby
# This file loads spring without using Bundler, in order to be fast.
# It gets overwritten when you run the `spring binstub` command.
unless defined?(Spring)
require 'rubygems'
require 'bundler'
if (match = Bundler.default_lockfile.read.match(/^GEM$.*?^ (?: )*spring \((.*?)\)$.*?^$/m))
Gem.paths = { 'GEM_PATH' => [Bundler.bundle_path.to_s, *Gem.path].uniq }
gem 'spring', match[1]
require 'spring/binstub'
end
end
You may not need to include spring under test group as seen here
Keep it under the development group alone.
Also the version of spring in your gemlock is 1.4.3 and heroku is complaining about 1.4.2. Maybe you need to explicitly specify a version in your gemfile, delete your Gemfile.lock(which should not always happen), run bundle again, commit your changes and redeploy.

Faraday::ConnectionFailed Connection refused - connect(2) for "localhost" port 9200

I have add elasticsearch in my rails app, also i have include these gems in my Gemfile:
gem "elasticsearch-rails"
gem "elasticsearch-model"
gem 'ngram'
All work fine, but every time when i restart my pc i get this error message
Faraday::ConnectionFailed Connection refused - connect(2) for "localhost" port 9200
Every time i need to reinstall eleasticsearch to make it work.
I saw in other posts that for some people /etc/init.d/elasticsearch restart
solve the problem but not for me. I'm using Ubuntu.
Any suggestions?
