Write files changes made when opening file through windows explorer in a mapped drive

I'm implementing a WebDAV file server using the ITHit WebDave engine, i have the following problem
When i list the files and open one of them i get the ReadAsync method called, i provide the content and the file is opened correctly
However any changes i make to the file can't be saved, i get an error saying
A device attached to the system is not working
I looked at the file system samples and implemented support based on the FileSystemStorage.AspNetCore sample,
From what can understand the WriteAsync method is used when creating new files, should i expect for WriteAsync to also be called for file edits that need to be changed?
Am i wrong in the assumption that DavFile.WriteAsync will be called with a stream for the updated content?
If WriteAsync is not the right location to save updates to a file, could you provide some guidance on the process of saving changes to existing files?
Edited to add:
Now i can see that after i dismiss the first error about the device not working i get the standard save dialog box, if i click save it asks me if i want to overwrite the existing file, after accepting to overwrite then WriteAsync is called and i can update the file contents
I'm not quite sure why it would first tell me there's an error and then still allow me to write the file but only as replacement to the original file
Thanks for your help
Fixed, i found that there were issues with the ILockAsync implementation, reviewing the FileSystemStorage sample helped fix the issue with locking files before writing or updating properties

Uploaded picture not showing up on Cloud 9 Test Browser

I am having trouble with getting uploaded images to show on a Cloud 9 rails project. When I run rails and use the included test browser I simply get a blue question mark. Calling images via their url works.
I have checked the following for help and they were unable to assist me:
How to add a image to cloud9?
Here is the code so far:
https://jsbin.com/nuduco/edit?html,output
Here is the directory structure:
Folder directory
Cloud9 IDE loads page previews over https by default. Be sure the image is being loaded over https or else you'll get a cross-origin issue. Alternatively, you can pop the preview out into a new tab and then change the preview to http.

First attempt at file download does not work. Need to click link twice and it works

I am having a really weird situation and would appreciate any help that can be provided.
My setup is pretty simple. I have an ember app that communicates with a Rails backend. I hit a certain route and a spreadsheet report is generated and placed in the public folder of the rails app. So far so good.
The rails backend then sends a response with the path to the file to the front-end that I place in a href that people can click on to download the file. This is where the weirdness happens. The first time that the link to download is clicked, I get a 404. What's weird is that if I click the link again or copy and paste the url into the address bar, the download works. No matter how I attempt to download the file, the first attempt always fails and all subsequent attempts succeed. I even set it up so that on one click I try to download the file twice and the first attempt fails and the second one works. This is definitely not ideal though.
edit: Also ... This only happens in production. In development, the download works perfectly fine.
I have no idea what the issue is and would appreciate any help in this.
Thanks

Using Backload to upload image to project file but images do not appear until project is rebuilt

Using MVC 4 I downloaded Blackcity Backload from nuget, I am trying to save the uploaded images to a file that is within my project. Everything works great and it shows that the image uploaded, except for the fact that after you upload a new image, and refresh the page the image does not appear in the list of returned images even though it was saved. Also if you delete a file it comes off the list at first but again if you refresh the page it is back. If you rebuild the application then everything appears as it should and the images in the backload file list are all listed correctly and they match what is in the actual file.
I thought it may be a server cache issue but I did all i can to prevent the server from caching and still same problem.
I think it may have to do with the fact that Backloader is dynamically creating folders to put the images in and they are not included in the project even though they are in the file structure. So since they are not part of the project they are not being returned in the get request. Its not until you rebuild that they are recognized as part of the project.
Is there a way to dynamically include new files in the project without rebuilding?
Please help. This is killing me.
Ok this is solved. Had to remove filters.Add(new AuthorizeAttribute()) from my global filters and then add [Authorize] to each controller and it worked.

Upload not working in vaadin 6.4.8

I am using upload component to upload a file. I have added receiverUpload() method to get the outputstream of the file. But its not at all calling the method. When I click on upload, browser starts loading, but nothing is happening behind.
How can I fix this?
First of all you should update to 6.5.4. As far as I remember there were some fixes regarding upload.
