How to open iTunes link with ionic inappbrowser? - ios

So I am using the following code to try and open an app from inside my ionic app.
$cordovaInAppBrowser.open('itms-apps://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pages/id333903271?mt=8', '_system', 'location=yes');
I am trying on an iPad Air2 as well as simulator and no matter what I do I cannot get anything to happen, I do not get a url not found just nothing, no app opens. I have console logs above and below so I know the event is firing and no errors are happening. Also note that if I change the URL to be a google play link and I build for android this works fine. Any ideas on what could be going on?

Issue was in how I was calling the event, for whatever reason when switching the string to double quotes it worked over single quotes. Plugin must be specific.

Update your plugin more than version 1.3

React JS not opening in apple browsers

I have a website created in react js, when I try to open it on windows or android the loading happens normally.
But on IOS devices it doesn't load anything from the site.
I tried to use https://polyfill.io/v3/polyfill.min.js in my index but I still couldn't.
PS: I don't have a mac to debug, tests only on an iphone version 15, I didn't find the iphone ios console to see the errors.
Problem solved, first step was to update the browserslist.
Second it was seen that the application was with storage in localStorage above what safari was handling, thus causing the error.
Removed localStorage.

Angular route is not working with Cordova iOS

I'm facing an issue with Cordova, Cordova-ios 6.2.0 and Angular 12.0.
When I'm building my app with Cordova and launch it in an emulator (or with a device), I'm arriving to a white screen.
I did some research and try some "fix" but nothing worked.
Finlly, I've find that it could be because of the balise.
So, I tried to play with the tag and modify the href with ., ./, / but nothing worked.
I've tried without and it worked, but without routing.
Has someone already had this problem?
The Angular router needs the app to be hosted on a "proper" HTTP scheme and does not work with file: URLs. You can check how your app runs, if you open the JavaScript console for your app running on an iOS device with Chrome and typing location.href. If you see file: you need to set up a custom scheme.

IOS 9 App Freeze(Button no response) with “BKSendHIDEvent” error in Ionic

I have read some articles like app freeze with BKSendHIDEvent error:
iOS 9 App freeze with console log "BKSendHIDEvent", but my problem is slightly different from this one. Since I use ionic to build the ios app, I don't know how to trouble shoot the detailed error in xCode.
My problem is that when the app first runs within the xcode, everything works fine, but if I stop the debug and reopen the app from the simulator, no button responses at all. The whole app stucks at this stage.
I checked the simulator system log, it shows this:
BTW, when I kill the app(flick up the app) while it is still debugging, the xcode says this, I don't know if this was the issue:
I have also tried to get further information from the web inspector, but this does not response either. I could not reload the page by
window.location.reload();
There are no window object at all...:
So I'm totally lost here. I don't know how to further trouble shoot this error. Can anyone please point me to a correct direction? I have no idea why the web inspector shows nothing here and how to get the detailed error info in xCode.
Thanks in advance!
After several search, here is the fix:
App Freeze
But I still do not know how to trouble shoot, in the issues above, they mentioned race condition, how to debug this?

Cordova iOS: Alert-Popups and Device-Ready is not firing

I just set up a new PhoneGap project for android, which worked perfectly fine without any problems, there were almost no changes to the template project.
Then I wanted to move that exact project to iOS, and the woes began.
When I start the project, suddenly a bunch of alter dialogs pop up, with device information, network status. Each offer me "ok" and "cancel". When I press "ok" on any of them, execution is halted, and nothing happens further.
When I cancel them all, I get to the project screen, where it says "connecting to device". Obviously, deviceready is never fired on this.
Since this project is merely the template offered by Cordova themselves, I find it hard to believe it is not supposed to run. I suspect the console.log messages get popped up on screen rather than the XCode debug window.
I am completely new to XCode or any iOS programming (hence PhoneGap), and I would appreciate any help.
Using Cordova 2.8.1.
Reason was I mistakenly copies the cordova.js for android into the ios project, see here.

Index.html not found on PhoneGap application when testing on a device

I have created a small IPhone Application with PhoneGap (1.5), and I would now like to test it on my device.
I have set the output to my IPhone, and clicked build. The application is added, but I receive the following error when trying to run it on the phone:
ERROR: Start Page at 'www/index.html' was not found.
It works fine if I try it on the simulator, so what might I have forgotten?
I guess you could try to remove your www folder from your project and try to re-add it this way
PhoneGap application: "ERROR: Start Page at `www/index.html` was not found"
Hope it helps
I found out that there might have been an issue when I set up the application in the first place. First of all I saw that I referenced to an older version (1.4) of PhoneGap. I downloaded the newer version of the javascript component and replaced it, but it didn't help.
I then simply just created a new solution an copied the code from my old project and then it worked.
I am sorry to say that I don't know excately what went wrong.
